James reads everything in part one of the book. He rereads what he had already read. Then he moved on to the underwear shopping, to meeting on the surgeries, to having lunch, next the actual surgery, and finally to his eyes clearing up. Dra—Sebastian is quiet the man. He's been through so much.
James takes a moment to look at the time. 3:46 AM. Sighing, James looks at the book and closes it slowly. I can start part two after a shower. James gets up and walks to his bathroom. Vertigo takes him by surprise and he leans against his couch for support. Hunger pains beg to be relieved and his mind begs to sleep. I have to shower.
James takes another step and pushes the sleep, hunger, and vertigo down as far as he can. He doesn't win. The three begin to eat him. He stops dead in his tracks. James can't do it. So he lets them win.
His vision goes black and he looses his balance. His body lands on the ground hard. He can't move and his mind is starting to fade. He's fading. The door to his apartment opens.
"James?"
Fading.
"James?"
Fading.
"James?!"
Fading.
"James!"
Gone.
