The car came to a stop inside a big compound,David came down from the car immediately and went over to open the car door for Chidi like a gentle man. Chidi look up and saw how big the house is, her shivering body didn't let her have enough time to look around the house. She followed David inside who opened the door and they went inside,the heat from the house calmed her shivering down a little. David turn on the light and she saw how beautiful his sitting room is,she took her eyes away looking at David.

"I hope you don't mind wearing something of mine?"David asked and Chidi nodded. David went inside his room and took one of his t-shirt and thick jogger, he came back to the sitting room giving it to Chidi.

"You can change in this room"David said leading Chidi into a room,Chidi entered nodding before David left closing the door behind him

Chidi look around, the room is big with a mattress at the middle. A cupboard at the head side of mattress and wardrobe at the right hand side. She saw a door and went over to open it which led her into the bathroom. She removed her already wet dress wearing David's clothes. She washed her face removing any layer of make up left in her face. She looked at herself in the mirror satisfied with the way she looks and also the shivering reduce a little after changing her clothes. She left the room and went back to the sitting room looking around not knowing where David is

He suddenly saw David coming out from a door,she look up at him and saw him holding a mug with steam coming out from it.

"Hot tea"David offered and she went over to collect it from him

"Thank you"she replied gently taking it from him. She took a sip from it and look up to see David watching her,she look away awkwardly and David immediately took few steps away from her

"Please sit"he offered and Chidi did as she was told sitting in one of the sofas. She put all her concentration in the tea she's taking avoiding David totally, David didn't mind at all cause it gave him more access to watch her

He's breathe caught up in his throat when he saw Chidi wearing his shirt,even though it looks oversize in her body but that's the most sexist thing he ever laid his eyes on. He had to control himself from drawing her closer and kissing her senselessly. He watched the way she blow air on the mug before drinking the tea,he suddenly wished he was the mug and he thought about how ridiculous he looks getting jealous of a mug. A ringing phone suddenly brought him out from him bizarre thoughts

Chidi jolted from the sound of a ringing phone and knew it was hers immediately. She dropped the mug she was holding taking her bag and search through,she took her phone from the bag and met it was Nene calling her

"Hello babe,where are you?"Nene asked immediately she picked the call

"I got stuck in the rain, I'm at someone's place"Chidi replied

"Who's that someone?"Nene asked

"A stranger, a guy"Chidi replied looking at David who took his eyes away from her immediately

"Get the address,I'm coming over to get you right away"Nene said and Chidi sighed

"The traffic is bad,there's hold up"Chidi said

"Are you okay? I hope you're not freaking out? Did he touch you? Are you the only one with him there? What...."Chidi caught Nene off chuckling softly

"I'm fine Nene, he is sitting far away from me"Chidi replied and heard Nene sighed

"I will be calling you every ten ten minutes,please if you feel uncomfortable tell me let me come and get you immediately"Nene said

"I will"Chidi said before the call came to an end. Chidi look up to see David focusing on his phone. She dropped hers taking her mug of tea back

"Do you have panadol?"Chidi suddenly asked breaking the silence

"Yeah yeah!"David replied standing up. He went over to bring it for her and a glass of water. Chidi took it from him and take the medicine

"Thank you"she said and David nodded going back to his seat.

Twenty minutes later of absolute silence,David look up to see that Chidi had fallen asleep. He stood up and went closer to her not sure of what to do,he didn't want to touch her and get her freaked out again but he got no choice when Chidi's head started lolling back. He quickly caught her and carried her up in a bridal style, he went over to the room Chidi changed and laid her on the bed carefully. He knelt beside her watching her sleep and his feelings for her only grow,he tried touching her cheeks but thought against it standing up, he closed the door behind him sighing.

He went back to the sitting room taking his phone,he had heard all the conversation she had with Nene but pretended he was busy on his phone. He decided to call one person

"Hello sir"a voice said after picking up David's voice

"Yeah, have you been able to look up on what I asked you to look up on?"David asked

"Yes. I was planning on calling you tomorrow"the voice said

"So what did you find so far?"David asked

"Found out that she's from Abia state,her full name is Chinonso Chidinma Paula. Her dad died when she was six,her mom remarried when she was nine. Her mom died when she was twelve and she had lived with her step dad since then. She ran away from him when she was seventeen"

"She ran away?"David asked

"Yes but I wasn't able to get why she ran away"the voice said

"Continue"David said

"She ran after finishing her high school, started living with her aunt who sponsored her university level,she graduated from university of Abuja. Her aunt died on an accident and now she lives with three other ladies. They rent an apartment together and lastly she had never been spotted with a guy. Some thinks she's a lesbian"The voice said everything sinking into David's head

"Thank you so much,that more than I expected"David says

"You're welcome,is there any other thing you need my help on?"

"No,I will call if I do"David said

"Good night sir"the voice said and the call came to an end. David stood up pacing thinking about what traumatic experience Chidi must have gone through. He remembered the way he touched her and she flinched getting very scared,his legs took him to the room Chidi is laying on. He silently open the door and went inside kneeling beside her bed,he watched her sleep and suddenly Chidi grabbed his hand tightly like she was afraid of something. Her facial expression change to someone scared. David use his free hand rub her back making circle pattern and slowly her grip on him loosen and her face loosen too sleeping soundly like a baby. David swore to make her nightmare vanish before standing up leaving the room.

"You know I love you"Jamie said and Nene chuckled wrapping her hands around Jamie

"I love you more"Nene said and Jamie shook his head

"I love you more Nene,I love you more than you can ever imagine"Jamie said and Nene's face broke into a smile,she dragged Jamie closer kissing him,Jamie kissed her back and they fell on the bed their kissing getting heated. Jamie slowly start removing her dress not breaking the kiss,he broke it to kiss her jaws down to her neck while cupping her breast....

"Nene"she heard Jamie call her

"Nene wake up!"Jamie called again frowning and she got confused,they were making out so why would be calling her to wake up

"Nene!"she suddenly heard Aina's voice and jolted up from her sleep. She opened her eyes to see Aina already dressed ready to go to work

"What's the time?"Nene asked yawning

"It's almost six"Aina said and Nene stood up heading to the bathroom. She closed the door behind her sighing. It's been long she had such dream of Jamie but seeing him again had awaken that kind of dream. She can't even remember when last she had a wet dream.

She pour water on her face looking at herself in the mirror,she needs to get her shit together and stop dreaming about things that can't even come into reality. She had her bathe quickly and had an Islamic bathe to purify herself again before performing an ablution.

She went back inside the room wearing the jalabiyya she use to pray,she wore her hijab performing her salat and pleading with Allah to grant her patience to be able to ignore whatever Jamie throws at her.

She kept her praying mat back at it original place, she rubbed her cream on her body wearing her undies then a black long straight skirt slitted at the right side a little to enable her to walk properly,she topped it up with an ash coloured button up top. She button up the first few button and tied the shirt.

She gelled the front of her hair and tied her veil in her hair,she wore a medium size round earrings applying only lip gloss on her lips before matching out of the room. She met Mercy in the sitting room spraying her perfume on her body. The door suddenly opened revealing Chidi. She was wearing a shirt and a jogger that looks obviously it doesn't belong to her

"Where did you spend the night?"Mercy suddenly asked while Nene went closer to Chidi holding her hand immediately looking over her body

"E be like she sleep for guy house o"Aina suddenly said. Mercy and Aina laughed and Nene rolled her eyes

"What if she spent the night over at a guy's place?"Nene asked frowning

"I thought she's the holier than thou in this house"Mercy said and Chidi look at her without saying a word "I will be going"Mercy added before leaving the house

"Well I prepared breakfast,Nene haven't eaten too, so you guys can eat before going to work"Aina says

"Thank you"Chidi said before Aina turn to look at Nene

"I will be going to work"Aina said and Nene nodded before Aina walk out of the house too. Immediately Aina walk out Chidi sighed slumping on floor,Nene knelt beside her immediately

"What happened? I was so scared for you yesterday hope he didn't touch you?"Nene asked and Chidi shook his head no

"He gave me my distance"Chidi said "I was so scared initially but I felt little comfortable after that"

"I was scared and happy at thesame time,you really took a big step. What do this guy look like? You like him?"Nene asked and Chidi snorted

"He's handsome and look cool but.... I don't like him,I don't like men"Chidi said and Nene sighed

"Chidi you have to start letting some things into your life,don't let past experience judge your future. You're not getting any younger"Nene said and Chidi eyes got glossy before she started crying

"It's not my fault Nene! My body just have that reaction when I'm close to men and... And.... And..."Chidi started hiccuping

"It's okay,don't cry"Nene said gently patting her back
