"David! David!" David heard his name and close his laptop looking up to see Zully panting heavily, to David she look more like a dragon that just lost her kid

"You do remember it's my name you're shouting like that not Jamie's"David said calmly crossing his hands

"Oh please spare me that! I know you're in charge of employing new employees, why will you make Nene Jamie's PA?"Zully shouted

"Will you bring your voice down! Yes I made Nene Jamie's PA so what the problem with you?"David asked and chuckled "are you afraid something might go on between them?"

"Of course not! I know Jamie will not stoop so low to have anything to do with Nene"Zully answered dismissively

"I remember him stooping so low years back to ask his ex best friend out"David said standing up, his height intimidating Zully "Zuleikha"he called Zully's full name and chuckled "when you talk to me, talk to me with respect. I'm not your mate and you do know whatever benefits you're enjoying in this company is because you're Jamie's bitch, because when next you come to me like this I will make sure Jamie throw you out of this company and you know I can do it, this company is not solely Jamie's if you want me to remind you"David ended his short speech and he can see Zully getting scared which satisfied him. Zully snorted trying to cover how scared she is before walking out of the office.

David slump on his chair sighing when his phone started ringing, he took it immediately.

"Hello"he says

"Hello sir, I met your missed call"the other person on the line said

"Yes! I need you to help me with little info about someone"David said

"And who's that?"the voice asked

"Her name is Chidinma,she works at Zion international event planning enterprise, that's all I know about her"David said

"Can I get her picture?"the voice asked

"Of course I can help you with that"David said

"Okay then"

"Don't leave any information out, I want to know everything about her and be discreet"

"I will sir"the voice said and the call came to an end. David sighed rubbing his hands on his face to his head looking frustrated.

"I will be going sir, my working time is over"Nene said and Jamie look up from his desk to look at her

"Ok"Jamie replied and Nene release the breathe she didn't know she had been holding,Jamie had decided to make life hard for her, he had been asking her to do things that are irrelevant and she spent the whole day not resting.

Nene came out of the building and saw a familiar car, she was trying to make out where she had seen the car when Yasmin came out of the car. She suddenly felt guilty immediately because of the way she acted the last time they saw eachother

"Nene!"Yasmin called smiling

"Yasmin! You came to pick me?"Nene asked

"Yes! I'm sorry for what happened the last time"Yasmin said

"No! I should be the one apologizing"Nene said and went over to hug him,Yasmin hug her back "thank you for coming for me"

" No thanks yet cause I'm here to listen to all the drama that happened"Yasmin said and Nene chuckled

"I knew you will never do something like this for free"

"Tarhhh! It's not in my blood" Yasmin said and Nene laughed out loud "first of all, let's get something to eat"

"I will prefer been inside the car if I'm going to talk"Nene said

"Okay but first let's grab something,I'm sure you're hungry"Yasmin said

"You can only imagine!"Nene said sighing entering the car and Yasmin did thesame too

Nene sighed placing her head on the head rest of the car as Yasmin gave her one of the shawarma he went to buy

"Thank you!"Nene said and Yasmin nodded

"Okay! I'm listening"Yasmin said Nene chuckled

"You such a gossiper!"Nene said and Yasmin chuckled silence filling the car

"That guy we met yesterday use to be my boyfriend,he's my ex"Nene suddenly said out of the blues making Yasmin to look up

"I thought about that too"Yasmin said taking a bite from his shawarma

"We dated for two and half years, I was in SS1 when we started dating, he use to be my senior in secondary school. He graduated from secondary school when I was in Jss3, we met at the school end of year party that normally happens in first term and that's how we clicked, we were friends first before we started dating"Nene said chuckling sadly taking a bite from her own shawarma chewing slowly

"I had never felt anything so intimate like what we had, I'm sure some married couples never felt something like that, it felt like he was my soul mate and perfect in all angles. I was deeply in love with him,I was so much in love"Nene said trying to blink a tear away. "I don't know what happened,we were cool and all of a sudden he wanted to break up"Nene chuckled

"Imagine I spent three months begging him to come back to me but he insisted,I asked him what did I do and he told me I know what I did wrong and should I tell you the next thing that happened?"Nene asked and Yasmin nodded

"He suddenly started dating my best friend,I don't know what happened and they started dating. I never knew they were close to that extends,I confronted my best friend about it and she said it's not like we are together so there's nothing wrong about it when she knew how I felt for him,she knew how deep the feelings is"Nene said chuckling dryly "I asked her to choose between me and him and guess what! She chooses him"

"This is so intense! This wasn't the gist I was expecting"Yasmin said and Nene smiled sadly

"I just confirmed today he is my boss and he wants to make my life a living hell for me, after trying to kiss me in the morning. I didn't know what happened we almost kissed"Nene said pulling her hair,Yasmin tried stopping her

"Hey! You look like an old witch when you're sad so you have to stop all this shit and smile"Yasmin said and uncontrollable tears started falling from Nene's eyes

"I know I can't give that intimate feeling he ever gave you but I'm here for you as your best friend, your confidant and someone you can share anything to. Stop being sad babe and we need to show that motherfucker you are way over him"Yasmin said and Nene chuckled

"Thank you!"Nene said and Yasmin smiled pulling her into a hug,Nene bursted into tears crying on his body while Yasmin patted her back slowly.

Immediately Nene left the office, Jamie stood up abruptly looking through the window to see where Nene was heading to. He saw her left the company into a car and knew it was a guy that came to pick her up. He suddenly got angry and the spirit of completing his work left his body immediately.

He stood up groaning when he suddenly heard his door open and came face to face with Hakeem

"You didn't tell me Nene started working here"Hakeem suddenly said and Jamie frowned

"What's special about her working here?"Jamie asked and Hakeem sighed

"Nothing really,it's just cool having her around"Hakeem said grinning

"I thought you don't like her then?"Jamie asked raising one of his brows at Hakeem

"Point of correction, I didn't like what she did to you then. That doesn't mean I didn't like her"Hakeem said and Jamie decided to ignore him

"I will be leaving"Jamie said

"Where to?"Hakeem asked

"My house"Jamie said looking at him skeptical. Hakeem cracked his throat before talking

"If you don't want Nene around you,just transfer her to my department. I will be more than pleased"Hakeem said and Jamie got angry. What do Hakeem wants to do with Nene too,he doesn't even want anyone around her

"I will look up to your offer"Jamie replied and Hakeem smiled before walking away.

David stopped his car in front of Chidi's working place,he was carefully waiting for her to come outside.

"I'm so tired!"Chidi said and Stacey chuckled

"You could have some rest and get laid"Stacey said jokingly

"Get laid?"Chidi felt her body shivering in disgust

"Yes na! Or you don't know the meaning of get laid? When a man put his....."Chidi stopped her

"I know the meaning"Chidi said frowning while Stacey chuckled

"So why are you now acting like a virgin?"Stacey asked Chidi just shake her head taking her bag

"I will be leaving"Chidi said while walking out of the company, her stepped start slowing down when her eyes landed on a familiar car. She frowned and ignored it walking away briskly

"Chidinma! Chidinma!"she heard her name being called and ignored it,she suddenly felt someone's hand on her scaring the shit out of her

"Don't touch me!"she said outbursting while heaving heavily. David got frightened immediately with her voice raising his hand up,he didn't understand why a simple touching can cause an outburst from someone that much

"I'm sorry"David said and he saw Chidi's face looking fearful while wiping a tear away. Chidi tried avoiding him from seeing that but unknown to her he already saw that

"What do you want?!"Chidi cried exasperated. David took a safe distance from her

"I just wanted to talk to you"David tried defending himself

"Don't you understand when someone tells you no? I don't want to have anything to do with you just leave me alone!"Chidi shouted when rain suddenly start falling "I would have gotten a taxi before this rain start but thanks to you I got stuck here"Chidi said and obvious hate radiating from her eyes

"I'm so sorry please"David said short of words. He don't even understand what happened few minutes ago "let me drop you"He offered but Chidi huffed looking away. He saw her shivering as she walks. He got closer to her avoid touching her

"Let me drop you at home please,I promise you I mean no harm. You're shivering"David said calmly like when you're talking to a kid. Chidi weighed her options,with the way the rain is falling heavily it will be hard to find a taxi by this time. It's already past seven and she don't want to stay alone standing in the dark street

"Okay"she replied with her shivering voice. David led her to his car opening the door for her to sit down,he sat down too and didn't mind the water dripping from them might spoil the car seats.

They drove in comfortable silence and there was a lot of hold up. Chidi was busy shivering badly while they were stuck on the road

"If you don't mind,we can stop at my place. It's closer to here and you can get changed and take something hot"David offered but Chidi ignored him while she kept on shivering

"You might catch a cold and that will be bad. I promise to stay safe distance away from you, if I try anything you don't like do whatever you want"David said and Chidi thought about it. The hold up is not lessening anytime soon and she can feel a fever slightly
