"Arghhhhhhh!"Jamie yelled and started breathing heavily, he took his phone dialling David's contact immediately

"What's up bro?!"David said

"Fine fine!"Jamie said rubbing his hand on his face "I don't want Nene here anymore, don't bother giving her the job"Jamie said and David chuckled

"Too late bro, I already sent her email informing her she can resume work from tomorrow"David replied and Jamie snorted

"I don't want her as my personal assistance anymore"Jamie said

"Too late bro, I can't start changing anything"David said

"Okay bro! Talk to you later"Jamie says

"Are you okay?"David asked

"Perfectly okay"Jamie said ending the call.

"What happened?"Yasmin asked looking worried

"Can you just drive?"Nene said looking out on the window

"Who is that guy? Don't tell me he is your man! Oh my God! I jokingly had my hands around you!"Yasmin said looking frightened

"He is not my man!"Nene yelled and Yasmin sighed gracefully

"So what's the problem right now?"Yasmin asked

"I don't know!"Nene said trying to wipe her tears "I don't know what's wrong with me"She added crying out loud. Yasmin decided to leave her alone.

The car halted at the front of her house,she came down immediately walking inside without turning to look at Yasmin

"Call me when you're fine!"Yasmin shouted and she nodded. She was glad non of the girls were in the sitting room and went straight to her room, she lay down on the bed crying her eyes out. Why do she have to see him now of all time,she's so angry at herself that she still feel pain whenever she thinks about him and now that her eyes landed on him it felt all raw all over again.

She stood abruptly wiping her tears away,she can't continue living in the past and tomorrow is a new day for her. She's finally getting her dream of becoming a working class lady,she don't need to be stuck on the past. She went inside her bathroom having her a bath and went to bed

"Nene! Nene!"she heard Chidi's voice

"She's praying"she heard Aina replied

"I'm done"Nene said standing up from her praying mat. She folded it and put it in its rightful position

"Come here!"Chidi said and Nene went closer to her "Good luck on your first day at work"she said hugging Nene

"Thanks babe!"Nene said smiling

"I will be going"Chidi said leaving the room

"Be a good girl"Aina said and Nene chuckled.  Aina applied her lip gloss before working out of the room

"Kaffy! Kaffy!"she heard Mercy's voice and roll her eyes "Good luck!"Mercy said kissing her cheek before rushing out of the house. Nene chuckled and quickly get dressed, she didn't bother applying anything on her face and left the house making sure to lock the door behind her.

"Your change"the Cabman said and Nene collected it putting it inside her bag,she went inside the company taking a huge breathe.

"Hi!"she said to the receptionist

"Uhmm! Miss Tijani?"The receptionist asked

"You got it"Nene said chuckling

"Your office is on the tenth floor, the CEO will be coming soon to tell you what you need to know"The receptionist said

"Anyone to take me there?"Nene asked

"Pardon my manners, yes!"The receptionist answered dialling some numbers, few minutes later a lady dressed in a black short skirt and a white top walk toward them

"Please take her to her office"The receptionist said and the lady nodded leading the way. They entered the elevator.

"Hi my name is Jojo"the lady said

"Im Kafayah but mostly called Nene"Nene said and the lady nodded, the elevator stopped at the tenth floor and they came outside. Jojo led the way and she lead her to a big office

"This is the CEO's office and that door"Jojo said pointing at a door "that leads to your own office"she added and they went inside. Nene smiled at the size of the office and how beautiful it looks

"This is beautiful"Nene said

"You're welcome"Jojo said smiling "you should settle in,the CEO will be coming soon and I'm sure he will want you to go around the company to be familiarised with everything, welcome to Jahavid"

"Thank you"Nene said and Jojo smiled before walking away.

Nene heaved gracefully a smile on her face, she decided to video her office and send it to her mom later, she chuckled happily doing a victory dance.

"You're not ready by this time!"Zully said her eyes showing anger

"Please let me be!"Jamie said standing up, he wore a blue jeans and a button up multicoloured shirt. "Let's go"

"You don't look presentable for work"Zully said shaking her head

"Are you moving or not?"he asked

"You should let me live with you so that I can take care of this needs for you"Zully said stepping forward to adjust his shirt

"It's not like we are married and thanks to you. You made it a priority for yourself to be here as early as possible"Jamie said and Zully chuckled

"Let's go"She said after feeling contended with what she had done on Jamie's dressing. They left the building entering the car that drove them to the company. They both came out of the car heading to their office.

Jamie's steps started slowing down, he knew he was going to meet Nene in the office and also he knew she will be surprised to see him.

He gathered his courage up and went toward his office, he opened the door and went inside. He dropped his phone on his desk and his eyes were trained on the Nene's office, the office was demarcated with glass and with that Jamie can see whatever Nene does but not the other way round. He saw how happy she look touching everything in the office and chuckled, he became self conscious immediately and frown his face. He took the intercom speaking to Nene through it

"Is that how you do on your first day at work?"Nene heard a voice through the intercom and jumped, she wasn't aware there was an intercom in the office

"I'm sorry sir!"she said straightening up her dress before coming out of her office, she came face to face with Jamie and got shocked

"What are you doing here?!"was the first thing that came out of Nene's mouth

"I should be asking you that, what are you doing in my office?!"Jamie asked putting his two hands in his jeans pockets.

"Your office? I'm your PA?"Nene asked looking very surprised. Jamie chuckled taking a step closer to her, she took a step back

"It looks like life wasn't that great for you after all"Jamie said taking another step towards her,Nene took a step back

"I can't do this!"Nene said shaking her head

"You can't do what?"Jamie asked taking another step towards her, Nene took another step back and hit her back on the wall

"I can't work for you"Nene whispered her eyes glistening

"Oh trust me! I don't need you around too"Jamie said taking a step toward her, his breathe fanning her face

"I can't believe I was just happy for nothing, it was so great when I didn't have you in my life again"Nene says

"Likewise me"Jamie said and his eyes landed on Nene's mouth,she was pouting unknowingly attracting him to kiss her, Jamie carefully held her jaws and Nene close her eyes her breathing becoming heavy, Jamie bend his head to kiss her when they suddenly heard a knock on the door. Nene's eyes flung open immediately with Jamie taking a step back, they were suddenly aware of how close they were and how they almost kissed. Jamie took a bigger step away from Nene and the door suddenly opened revealing Zully. Zully look at Jamie and then Nene her eyes going wide before she frown.

"What is she doing here?"Zully asked

"She was giving the PA job"Jamie replied wrapping his hand around Zully,Zully smiled her eyes trained on Nene giving her a mockery look

"Oh okay"Zully replied and Jamie drag her in for a kiss, Zully first thought it was a simple kiss until Jamie's tongue was inside her and she kissed him with so much energy. Nene just stood watching them with her heart breaking into pieces, she tried controlling herself from breaking down. She don't want to give them the satisfaction of seeing her breaking down

"See you later"Jamie said after breaking the kiss

"Sure"Zully said and Look at Nene one last time before leaving the office, Nene turn immediately entering her office. She took her bag wanting to go and then she thought again, if she leave like that Jamie will be satisfied. He had to show him she don't care about him anymore and she need the money the job is ready to offer, she sat down back on her sit. Gently placing her head on her desk.

"Someone is looking for you"Stacey told Chidi

"Someone is looking for me?"Chidi asked looking surprised, she don't usually have anyone to look for her in her office "who's that person?"

"A tall dark handsome looking guy"Stacey said wriggling her brows while Chidi rolled her eyes

"I don't know any tall dark handsome guy"Chidi says

"Go find out!"Stacey said shooing her away.

Chidi stepped out of the office heading to the receptionist area, she wondered who was looking for her, she look around but was lost. She didn't see anyone she's familiar with.

"Chidinma!"she heard a deep masculine voice call her name and turn immediately almost breaking her neck in the process. Her eyes landed on the person and squinted trying to remember where she knows the face from

"Divine? Daniel? I know your name start with D or something"Chidi said and David chuckled

"My name is David, so heartbroken you don't remember my name"David says feigning hurt

"Oh David! What are you doing here?"Chidi asked ignoring David's last comment

"I came to see you"David replied placing his hands on his pants pocket

"Did I forget anything in your car?"Chidi asked tilting her head

"No you didn't, I just came to see you"David said and Chidi chuckled humourless

"I'm a busy woman sir and I don't have the time"Chidi said

"I mean no bad really"David said raising his hand up "I just want to be your friend"

"I don't make friends with the male counterparts, please if you will excuse me"Chidi said before walking away. David just stood watching her as she sway away, he chuckled to himself

"It will just take few moments to make you mine, love"David said before walking out of the building.
