"Turn around let me see you"Aina said and Nene did as she was told "you look beautiful, I feel like kissing you right now"Aina said chuckling

"Spare me abeg! I'm not a lesbian"Nene said chuckling also

"Our Nene is going for an interview"they suddenly heard Chidi's voice and turn to look at her eating apple, she's already dressed for work too

"Who will do my laundry now!"Mercy said using a fake sad voice

"Let me come and do it for you na, oshi!"Aina said and Mercy huff

"Gift! You know I didn't call you!"Mercy said calling Aina's Christian name

"Omo! Call that name with respect o, I'm not your mate"Aina said hissing

"Because of two years?"Mercy said laughing and clapping "who is doing I'm not your mate in this house and apart from that if not that you're a girl I would have said you're head over heels for Nene, the way you're obsessed with what she does"

"Mercy!"Nene and Chidi called at once

"It haven't gotten to this"Nene said and Mercy hissed walking out of the room

"That girl doesn't know I have a younger sister of her age at home"Aina said angrily

"It's okay Aina, you know how Mercy is. We have lived long enough together for you to know the kind of person she is, you're not supposed to be getting angry with whatever she does"Chidi said

"I heard you"Aina said with a voice that's obvious she doesn't want to talk anymore.

"So girls! Pray for me"Nene said smiling

"Don't worry about anything babe, the job is yours already"Chidi said and step forward to hug her

"Thank you"Nene says

"Success"Aina said giving Nene the thump up.

"Thank you"Nene muttered before taking her bag with every other thing she needed. She left the apartment boarding a cab

"Jahavid industrial company"Nene told the Cabman

"Okay ma'am, it's five Hundred Naira" the Cabman said

"It's cost o. It's two hundred naira abeg"Nene said frowning

"Bring four hundred"the Cabman try negotiating

"Na only two hundred naira I get"Nene said and the Cabman chuckled

"Come in"the Cabman said and Nene rolled her eyes before entering. Normally the price was suppose to be one hundred and fifty naira but because she didn't want to be late she said two hundred naira straight.

The ride on the city of Abuja was cool and amazing, Nene's face was glued to the car's door looking at everything in the city as the car sped off

"We are here!"the Cabman said slowing the car down. Nene came out of the car paying the Cabman his fee, she look around and swallowed the lump on her throat. The enormous building alone is intimidating.

She stepped inside the building with a security man stopping her immediately

"Madam, you get appointment?"The security man asked

"I'm here for a job interview"Nene replied. The security man nodded and let her in.

She saw as everyone was busy and stilettos busy making sounds on the tiled floor, she went straight to the receptionist area and met a lady typing on her desktop

"Excuse me ma'am"Nene said and the lady look up giving her a contagious smile

"What can I do for you?"the lady asked in a welcoming voice

"I'm here for a job interview and I need directions"Nene said

"Welcome to Jahavid, just take the elevator to the eight floor. You will meet others that came for the interview"the lady replied

"Thank you so much ma'am"Nene said before walking away.

She took the elevator stopping in the eight floor. She came out of the elevator and met others sitting waiting for their turn. Nene's heart started beating erratically and prayed she doesn't miss this chance or else she will be heart broken for life.

"Miss Kolawale Esther!"she suddenly heard a name being called. A petite dark lady stood up immediately entering through the door. Few minutes later she came out and other names were called. Nene was about dozing off when she heard her name

"Miss Tijani Kafayah Ohunene!"she heard her name being called, she stood up immediately adjusting her clothe. She went right inside the door, she met a young man that looks like he is in his early twenties sitting on a rotating chair

"Good morning sir"Nene greeted

"Good morning!"the man said smiling at her "please sit!"he said pointing at one of the seats

"Thank you"Nene replied sitting down. The man went through a file and smiled

"Tijani Kafayah Ohunene, a first class student from Bayero university Kano, studied international relations and diplomacy"the young man said

"Yes sir"Nene replied

"How sure are you, you are qualified for this job"the man asked

"I'm hundred percent sure"Nene says

"Assuming you were offered the job, what do we expect from you?"The young man asked

"I will be diligent, come to work early and do my work at the right time. You will be lucky to find an hard working employee like me"Nene replied and the young man bursted into laughter

"Okay then, an email will be sent to you to inform you either you got the job or not, good luck ma'am"the man said and Nene got confused. Is that all he was gone to ask her? She had prepared more than enough speech for likely questions he was going to ask

"Is that all sir?"she asked standing

"Definitely"The man said still smiling

"Okay, good bye sir"

"Wish to see you soon"

"Same here"Nene said before walking out of the office, she sighed and started walking toward the elevator when she mistakenly hits someone

"Oh I'm sorry!"she voiced out immediately

"It's fine!"she heard a deep familiar masculine voice immediately and look up.

"David!"she called looking very surprised

"Oh my God! Nene!"David called acting surprised to see her

"Never thought I will see you again talkless of somewhere like this"Nene said and David chuckled

"Wow! It's been long Nene! You really gain weight over the years"David said

"You can said that again, do you work here?"Nene asked

"Yes"David replied

"I just came for a job interview"Nene says

"Wish you good luck dear. How have you been?"David asked

"If you're not busy we could go to any nearest cafeteria"Nene said and David nodded

"I am not busy at all"David said and they started heading out of the company. David led the way and they entered his car

"Wow! Your car is so beautiful"Nene cried and David chuckled

"Thank you, I take care of my baby so well"David said and Nene nodded. David ride out of the company's premises heading to the nearest cafeteria, they came down from the car and entered the cafeteria. They sat down ordering for a coffee

"So tell me about you Nene, I haven't seen you in years"David said

"Well there's nothing much about me, after everything that happened. I stopped coming home and stayed back at Kano where I was schooling, I finished school and served here in Abuja. That's how I started living here job hunting"Nene said smiling

"Not bad"David said

"Enough about me, how have you been?"Nene asked

"Been fine! You know I graduated from federal university lokoja and served at port Harcourt, then I started living at Abuja and now I'm working"David said chuckling

"Wow! Married?"Nene asked

"No no no! I'm not ready for that now. Jeez! I'm too young for that"David said and Nene bursted into laughter

"So y'all are staying here in Abuja?"Nene asked

"Yes including Jamie"David replied and Nene look away. She tried remembering the last time she set her eyes on Jamie and men! It wasn't a good memory

"Cool!"Nene said forcing a smile "I didn't get enough chance to thank you the last time, thanks for everything you have done for me"Nene said smiling

"Don't bother going there. I just wish you luck on getting the job and it will be cool for us to work in thesame company"David said

"Totally!"Nene said smiling when their coffee arrived. They started talking casually whirling away time.

"Please make sure you sort the files accordingly. I have to send it to the manager before the day ends"Chidi said to her co-worker

"Don't worry Chidinma! I will get them ready"Stacey her co-worker said

"Thank you so much, I will be heading out to get something to eat, I'm so hungry and I didn't eat before leaving the house"

"Okay then"Stacey said before Chidi walk away.

Chidi walk briefly away from the company,she can't imagine how hungry she is

Splash!

She suddenly felt something splashing on her body, she look down on her body and her eyes got wide, a car just spill mud on her clothes. She's wearing a white skirt on a baby blue shirt.

"Arghhhhhhh!"she yelled angrily. She look up to see a dark tall man coming out of the car, she frown immediately making it obvious she's angry "where was your eyes when you were driving!"she shouted

"I'm sorry ma'am, I was in haste"the offender said

"To hell with you and being in haste! Look at my dress! Oh my God! I'm so busy in the office and now you messed everything up!"Chidi shouted

"Calm down...."Chidi cut him short

"Calm down my foot! Look at my dress!"Chidi yelled angrily. It's obvious she's angry "I just wanted to come and get something to eat before I go back, I need to submit all the files to my manager, why did you do this to me!"she shouted frustratedly and started crying

"You're an evil man!"Chidi said pointing accusing finger at the offender

"I'm really sorry Miss, I can get you home to get changed"The man offered

"Do I have a choice"Chidi said wiping her angry tears away. The offender led the way and she followed sitting on the car, she almost awed at the car stereo but for the fact she's angry, she looked away

"I'm sorry"The man said again

"Keep it to yourself"Chidi said looking out of the window

"The address"the man said and Chidi told him her address, the ride was silent with Chidi's face glued to the car door, she's so angry to even look at the man face.

The car came to a stop in front of her compound, she came of the car sauntering away. She entered inside with her key and met Nene watching movie and munching on junks

"You came back early"Nene said

"One idiot messed my dress up, I have to come back to change it"Chidi said and Nene noticed her messed up dress "How was the interview?"

"It was fine"Nene said and Chidi nodded heading to the room she share with Mercy. She change to a multicoloured short straight gown, that's slightly slitted at the front to show enough but not much of her silky smooth thigh.

"I will be going"Chidi said and Nene waved. Chidi came out and met the man waiting for her

"I should buy you food"The man said as soon as Chidi entered the car, Chidi frown

"Why?"

"You said you wanted to get something to eat, at least I should do that for what I have done"

"Okay"Chidi replied looking away
