Chapter One: Dealing With Nostalgia pt.1

(this is not pt. one of sander sides although it does have some, it's my pt. one)

-hello this is future author here, these first few chapters are pretty bad. i was trying to figure out what to do and this happened so i'm sorry about that. i know it sucks but keep reading the story and i promise it gets better. sry again, have fun with the crappy chapter :3-

Third Person POV:

*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*

"Mor- Patton? Are you alright? You haven't been out for a yet which is unlike your schedule. According to my calculations you should have ate at hmmm.....7:00 A.M."Logan looked at the clock and saw that it was 11:00 A.M.

" Leave him alone Logan he probably just slept in. No one's perfect."Virgil sneered as he walked pass. Logan still couldn't help but feel like something's wrong. After running the possibilities of the seriousness of what was wrong he stepped back and went into his room to work. It sounds like Thomas isn't feeling right and that he should see what the problem could be.

Logan rolls his eyes at what he saw was wrong on his monitor of Thomas's mind.

"Ugh not again! I told Thomas that he needs to move on. It's been such a long spread of time that he should stop feeling this feeling by now. I am so close to snapping this pencil in two. It's so frustrating to see him not heed my advice!" The logical trait became angered as he sat at his desk and studied how to fix the problem.

Virgil was making his way to his room when looked at Roman's door through his purple bangs. It had been closed most of the morning except for when Roman had grabbed a peice of toast with Crofters jam for breakfast, but he just ran back into his room. Virgil put his hand into a fist and was going to knock to see if there was a problem until he became anxious of what Princy would say to him so he averted his eyes, went to his room and shut the door behind him. Roman, on the other hand, was busy frantically writing at his desk and scribbling out bad ideas.

" No that won't work...... but what if.... no that won't work either...." his red and white notebook was filled to the brim with ideas and not to good sketches on the sides of the papers. he became agitated with himself for not having any good ideas. It wasn't fair! He needed an idea for Thomas to reclaim his love!

Logan, now on the floor, had been jotting down notes and researching in his files for why Thomas could possibly feel this way. As he flicked through the files he came across one with Patton's name. Logan picked it up and held it in his hands admiring the delicate font he had picked for Patton's file which had now grown thicker since the last time he saw it. He gave a slight smile seeing that no one was around him. He starred at the name, thoughts of Patton swirling in his brain, disrupting his focus. The smile soon faded at what could possibly be disturbing Patton. He began to open the light blue cover to read. Logan snapped out of it and closed the file, not wanting to invade Patton's privacy. He looked and looked more but could not find anything on why these thoughts were happening, although he did come across a strategy on dealing with these nostalgic things. All Thomas had to simply do was reflect back on his great accomplishments and strive for a better future, but Logan thought it wouldn't work so he began to search again.

Virgil looked around his black room, happy to be safe in it once again. His eyes shot to his Nightmare Before Christmas poster. The poster had never made him feel anything, he kinda just liked it, but ever since Princy commented on it once they made him feel a huge swarm of butterflies in his stomach. Virgil moved his eyes to his mind monitor where Thomas was making the intro to a video. The anxious trait perked his ears to hear Thomas have a sadness in his voice.

" i dont know... i mean like...when you're feelin sad you're feelin sad." As Thomas said this, Virgil climbed down the stairs and stood at his place in the living room. 1...2....3....4....5 and he was there, with Thomas.

"I'll take redundant statements for four hundred." Virgil smirked at his own joke but that quickly faded as he saw no one was up yet. That wasn't the protocol. Logan should've said at least a paragraph by now. Thomas explained to Vrige a little about how he felt which was bad, though he still was not telling Virgil everything that was wrong. Virgil soon caught on and kicked in a little bit so Thomas  would tell him the reason for his strange behavior.

"I've been thinking...." Thomas explained

"... thinking?...about what?" Virgil asked

"guys..."

"What else is new?"

"....and dolls" Thomas finally explained. Virgil, after fully realizing what he said, panicked and asked everyone to come up. Which clearly meant only one.

"ugh, I've been thinking about guys and dolls." Thomas told Logan after Virgil suggested to get him to explain.

" Yes, I'm well aware. Thomas it is time to move on. I feel like, huh listen to me "feel like" I feel like I'm nearly out of productive things to say on the matter, I'm just frustrated." As Logan finished, Patton popped up from his spot in the living room and was clearly not doing completely okay. There was something off that Logan noticed but he didn't want to bring it up in case anyone thought he would have feelings. But why would it even matter if they knew that Logan had feelings for a particular bubbly side, no one would mind right? Logan grew even more flustered when Patton accused him of making puns. He would never do that act ever on purpose.

Princy soon popped up finally with a good idea in his mind.

" I got it! Thomas you write down all your thoughts and feelings in an eloquent letter and deliver it to him in a basket full of his favorite things." Thomas thought about the possibility of this happening as Virgil freaked out. After some back and fourth from the four sides, Logan remembered his idea to look back on memories to be excited about the future and brought it as an option to the group. Patton didn't seem to be on the same page and actually seemed nervous on the affects of the idea, although still kind of wanting to do it so Logan wouldn't hate him. Patton began to zone out with the thoughts of sadness over coming him. He heard Logan say that it could get better but he didn't believe that.

"can they?..." Virgil and Patton said together. Patton began to smile to cover up what he was feeling and to mask that he had said those depressing words. Logan heard the sorrow in his voice and felt compelled to make him feel better. He never wanted Patton to feel that way, ever. Patton heard the concern in Logan's voice and felt a tad bit better, but that was before Thomas's idea. He wanted to go to Patton's room.

Patton was stunned at first at the idea and felt uneasy about this seeing that he wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. He protested but Thomas insisted leaving and exploring Patton's room. As they sunk down Patton felt worse and worse. Until he felt a sudden jolt of happiness and his sad thoughts were locked away in the back of his mind which might not be too good for him. Thomas seemed happy about his room which made Patton happy to see his feel a little better even thought he knew this would not be good.

( hi, sry for taking you away from the story but thank you for reading! I know it's not too good but it's my first chapter ever and even thought it's bad i like it and i think i'll get better. i don't think
i deserve the title of writer or author yet because no one's really read it at this time and it's also not too good. the next chapter will be me explaining the set up of their rooms. you definitely do not have to think of it how i do but i do have some things that i will reference in the story, like the monitors which every side has. after that chapter i'll get back to writing the actual story which has a bit of a winding road so stay tuned if you like it so far! thank you again for reading :3)
