Cody's P.O.V

"Kai--"

I shouted after her but she ran and she ran so fast I could've sworn she levitated.

"Dammit." I smashed my fist against the counter.

"Anger problems much?" Kimmy giggled "need another kiss?" She puckered her lips at me and to keep from strangling her, I stepped back.

"You don't care do you? You just ruined my relationship with Kai and you just don't care do you?"

She shook her head no and slyly grinned "she wasn't your girlfriend anyway."

"Yeah but you just ruined it!" I shouted "you just ruined any chance of me ever asking her to be my girlfriend. You!"

"Well it's not my fault you kissed back!" She yelled at me like I was a dog but I barked back.

"You don't go around pressing your lips against other people's. That's not what I wanted and I can't take it back."

By now, everyone had waken up. I could hear footsteps upstairs rambling to get down to the kitchen.

"To be fair, you're not even a good kisser."

In the corner of her eye, the flicker, that I thought was genuine kindness when the apocalypse broke out--- faded and I realized how stupid I was.

How stupid could I  be?

She was the cheerleader who would pick on anyone just because so why would I think she had changed.

"Kimmy you're a bitch." I smiled, evilly.

She uncrossed her arms, glared at me and smacked me so hard, the spit literally FLEW out my mouth.

I stumbled back and caught my balance, and right when I lunged at her, Ryan jumped in between us and pushed us both so far back-- you'd think he was Superman.

"Stop!" He shouted "what the hell is up with you two?"

"She kissed me!" I yelled, still holding on to my face. My face that used to be as soft as a baby, but now, it's covered in cuts ad bruises.

"That's a bad thing?" Danny queried, stepping into the kitchen with a blanket wrapped around him.

"Yes. Kai saw and now she's gone." I sighed.

I looked at the door frame and stared at Reese as she balled her fist and Bella shook her head.

I got up, stormed out the kitchen, pushed past everyone as they stared at me like I was retarded and made my way up the stairs.

I banged on the door of the room that Max, Kai and I slept in.

"Kai'Reya c'mon!" I shouted "let me in."

"Please just go away." She hollered, her voice cracking with every letter.

"I'm sorry." I muttered, probably only loud enough for just me to hear.

Suddenly, Bella crept up the stairs and graciously came over to me.

She squat down, moved her hair behind her ear and smiled.

"I'm sorry Kimmy did this. I think she was just looking to be a little reckless. We all do, so try to forgive her." she sighed "but even if you dont-- that's okay. I'll talk to Kai for you if you want."

"Really?" I looked up to meet her eyes but quickly looked back down.

"Of course." She scoffed "that's what friends are for, silly."

"Bella that would be lovely!" I pulled her into a hug and we both laughed hysterically. "How could I ever thank you?"

"Just don't kiss me." She giggled, pulling away from the hug.

"I'll have to try." I joked.

"Mhm."

And with that, she got up and knocked on the door.
