Nora and Alex sat down at the kitchen table, determined to come up with a plan to take down Ethan's adopted father.

"We need to gather evidence," Alex said, pulling out his laptop. "Something that will prove his involvement in the conspiracy."

Nora nodded, her mind racing with ideas. "I think I can help with that," she said. "I've been doing some research, and I think I've found a connection between Ethan's adopted father and one of the other conspirators."

Alex's eyes lit up with interest. "What is it?" he asked.

Nora pulled out her phone and showed Alex the research she had done. "It looks like they've been working together for years," she said. "And I think I can get us into one of their secret meetings."

Alex's eyes widened in surprise. "How?" he asked.

Nora smiled, feeling a sense of determination. "I've been watching them, studying their patterns. I think I can sneak us into one of their meetings and get us the evidence we need."

Alex nodded, a plan taking shape in his mind. "Okay, let's do it," he said. "But we need to be careful. If we get caught, it's over."

Nora nodded, feeling a sense of excitement mixed with fear. "I know," she said. "But I'm ready to take the risk. I'm ready to take down Ethan's adopted father and bring him to justice."

Alex handed her a small device. "This is a state-of-the-art recorder," he said. "It's small enough to fit in your pocket, and it'll pick up every word."

Ethan nodded, his eyes serious. "I'll make sure to create a big enough distraction," he said. "Just make sure to get out safely, Nora."

Nora smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude towards Ethan. "I will," she said. "Don't worry."
