Alex took a deep breath before beginning his story. "I've been investigating Ethan's father for months," he said. "I knew something was off about him, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it."

Nora's eyes were wide with interest. "What did you find out?" she asked.

Alex hesitated, looking around nervously. "I found out that Ethan's father is involved in a massive conspiracy," he said. "He's been working with other powerful people to manipulate the government and control the country."

Ethan's eyes were wide with shock. "That's not all, is it?" he asked.

Alex shook his head. "No, it's not. I also found out that your father, Ethan, is not who you think he is."

Ethan's face went pale. "What do you mean?" he asked.

Alex took a deep breath. "I mean that your father is not your real father," he said. "You're adopted, Ethan."

Nora's eyes widened in shock. "That's not possible," she said.

Alex nodded. "I'm afraid it's true," he said. "Ethan's father, or at least the man who raised him, is not his biological father."

Ethan looked like he had been punched in the gut. "Why didn't anyone tell me?" he asked.

Alex shook his head. "I don't know, Ethan. But I do know that your biological father is still alive, and he's been trying to protect you from your adopted father's conspiracy."

After a few minutes of driving, Alex pulled up to a small house on the outskirts of town. "This is it," he said. "We should be safe here."

As they got out of the car, Ethan finally spoke up. "I need some time to process this," he said. "Can I be alone for a while?"

As Ethan walked into the house, Nora turned to Alex. "What's the plan now?" she asked.
