Chapter 2
A dark forest in the middle of the night could easily be categorized as nightmare fuel for some people, the possibility of a rabid dog or wolf jumping at you now being a factor that served to unnerve those unlucky enough to experience such unfortunate conditions. Kin followed Raynare, keeping close behind as his eyes darted from different places, not thanks to panic but to his guard being up, having just narrowly escaped from being vaporized by a heiress to a big Devil family put him on edge, unsurprisingly.
It was not so long ago when the duo shared their 'celebratory' kiss so to speak, they did not stick around for long and went deeper into the forest, just their luck it started to become foggy so their escape became just that little more easier.
"...Are you sure this person can reverse my... condition?" Kin asked, his plan was to originally teleport them both away once more but the black haired woman stopped him by telling him the person who can make him human once more was going to meet them here. Doubt floated in his gut, the idea of being human once more seemed almost fictional when thinking it over, being offered something so amazing made his hair stand up and his heart beat uncontrollably.
The fallen angel stopped her walk and turned around with a mischievous smirk on her face.
"That and so much more." Her tone, mesmerizing as ever, failed to hide the admiration, pride, and fear it carried. There was no doubt in Kin's mind that whoever could help him was powerful, that slight tremble in Raynare's voice only served to drive fear into the teen's heart. She spoke no more, only turned around to continue their 'midnight stroll'.
After another 5 minutes of walking they finally stopped once reaching a clearing. There was nothing special about this place, regular tall trees with green leafs, messy grass that stretched so much it failed to maintain it's own weight making stand up in funny ways, and the shadows which gave the night time it's disturbing, eerie vibe.
"We have arrived." Raynare spoke up, her answer was the noise of cricket along with the sound of the air blowing trough the forest. Kin was starting to feel that something was off, his gut told him to turn away and run as far away as possible, but where could he go to? The only other place to go would be with the devils, and that's not a very good idea.
The hair on the back of his neck stood up as he felt a wave of fear climb up his spine, just what was it thanks to, there was nothing that seemed different to his eyes, which made him realize.
Slowly, he turned his head, the freezing air along with the horror in his body made his hands tremble lightly, and saw a small girl behind him.
". . ." She did not speak. She simply stared up into his blue eyes with her unnaturally purple ones.
If anyone saw her from afar they would not think much, only say she's another lost child perhaps. She was similar in appearance to Raynare actually, sporting the same hair and eye color.
But Kin saw past all of it. He stared down only because his neck refused to turn, he didn't run only thanks to his body freezing up, to say he was having a night terror while being awake could be considered right. Those eyes, they were empty. No joy, no sadness... No sign of life.
"...Are you ready?" Finally she opened her lips, each word driving another shudder up the teen's spine. Her question was simple, was he prepared to face the consequences of receiving her help? The mage was between a rock and a hard place, he wanted to become human but he felt the mana cascading off the girl, it was like facing the winds of a blizzard while having no clotches on, overwhelming to put it simply, and nothing comes free in this life, making him afraid of just what would be his payment.
On the flip side, if he backed out the devils would find him in no time, branding him a rouge and killing him off, like they do to everyone who betrays their master. Yet, his heart ached at the thought of leaving Raynare.
With his doubts drowned out by the beating of his heart the teen nodded swiftly. There were no words spoken as the girl raised her pale hand up, it looked so human, so natural, but Kin felt uneasy looking at it, there was no sign of life from it, like it was attached to a corpse under the control of a puppeteer. Gulping down his dry saliva the mage reached forward with his hand and grasped the girls.
Once he did so a bright red glow took shape over his skin, it formed a strange chain like pattern which covered all of his body. The terror in his heart spiked at the sight, he had half a mind to let go and run but he was unable to do so, thanks to the pain surging in his veins.
"AGH-NGHHHHHHH!" He exclaimed as his skin burned, his blood boiling in his own veins as agony clouded everything. His struggle was not in vain, as with each spasm, each scream, each moment of seemingly unending torture the markings lost their color, going from a crimson red to ruby nuance.
He collapsed to his knees and grinded his teeth together, his very skin felt like it was encased in liquified metal which was poured continuously, a punishment which perhaps he deserved but he couldn't contemplate or repent for it.
As if God himself decided to show mercy onto his pour soul, the boy was finally able to stop his screaming once the 'chains' broke off ,literally, the markings took 3 dimensional form and broke into pieces, it looked as if glass shards scattered into the air, simply floating before dematerializing in the night's cold air.
The girl let go off his hand allowing it to crash down to the ground along with the rest of the body, Kin was completely drained, no longer able to move or speak as his skin was pale and his eyes glossed over. The fallen angel remained silent as she stepped forward and knelled down flipping the youngster over, a small smirk on her face, wether that was cause of his suffering or his survival was hard to determine with that simple gesture.
Slowly, his pigmentation returned as light flickered on his body, random bolts of what seemed like electricity lashing out uncontrollably before settling down as his skin formed the old pattern, a curcuit like marine blue glow which looked serene, it almost enveloped him in a manner someone who hadn't seen their close friend in a long time would. And so despite having been through such extremes, the blonde seemed at peace finally, his body at ease as the mystical pattern refused to go away.
With a sudden burst of color from his magic curcuits Kin shot up in a coughing fit, his throat itched like parchment paper scraped his taste buds while they were already at the mercy of hot sauce. He calmed down gradually enough to recognize the arms which helped his upperbody remain off the ground and looked up at those beautiful purple eyes of Raynare.
"W-what happened?" His throat was not fully recovered yet he disregarded it and asked her, his heartbeat picked up at the suspense hoping for that simple answer made him fear the worst.
"You regained what was taken from you." She spoke with a smile, the fallen was estatic as she now secured another ally for her cause while managing to live trough that whole encounter, her attention was however brought back to the person she was holding as she felt him trembling.
Kin's eyes widened at the news of once again being human, the rush of emotion that came with the realization flooded over him causing him to smile wholeheartedly, tears escaping his eyes at the same time. So much happened in so little time, he was so afraid he'd lose everything, that he would never be able to face his parents again but those fears were now gone, only gratitude and happiness were present now.
Raynare was taken aback at the sight, sure Kin wasn't the most conventional mage but to see a human which grew up locking their emotions away in such a state made her feel strange. However, she could relate to him, the moment that Gremory girl launched that attack at her made the fallen really think she was done for, it was so terrifying and yet surreal, she prayed for the first time in forever to be spared, which to her own surprise was answered. She remained silent letting him take it out of his system, there was no apparent threat anyway, plus the process was done with no threat of being found.
_______________________________________
"Thank you." The mage spoke after awhile as he wiped his eyes and stood up, the whole ordeal was slightly embarrassing honestly but he discarded it as the heat of the moment, scanning around he was unable to spot the girl or sense her at all, not surprising if he was honest, she was terrifyingly powerful so hiding her presence would be childs play.
"No need, after all it was a simple matter of allowing your curcuits to work again or something like that, I don't quite understand it myself but she has done much more impressive feats." The fallen explained to the best of her ability, she was more of the action type so ,understandably, magical theory wasn't a strong point. Kin however was put in deep thought, he wasn't able to fully grasp the spell which was casted on him but he had a theory.
If the evil pieces reincarnate humans by using the mana and ood stored up to reanimate their body it would all just end up failing seeing as with those two being completely used up at once the body collapse in on itself so to speak. So perhaps what it did was use the piece itself to stop the creation of ood in the magic curcuits, making the pseudo-nervous system completely useless. It would explain the strain and weakness of magic while being of unhuman heritage, casting spells with only mana is way more taxing and unpracticle.
That would explain for the impeccable body prowess, in order to make up for the lack of pure magical potential devils have innate powerful bodies that allow for little strain in time of the casting... That didn't explain the full passing to devil nature however, something was up with those evil pieces, could they perhaps be approaching actual magic, that'd be hard to believe seeing as the Age of Gods passed long ago, leaving only magecraft behind which could never be on the level of real magic.
The difference between Magic and Magecraft was like comparing a pond to an Ocean, one could technically be seen completely from a certain point of view but an ocean could span on forever, never able to be seen completely at once. Magic bent the rules of reality like it was cutting trough butter while magecraft is simply the remains of what was one that terrifying power. Kin decided to not try an figure this out anymore, his brain would fry otherwise.
"We should get go-" His train of thought was interrupted by his phone going off, the teen reached into his pocket and retrieved the device to decline but froze once seeing the word 'Father' staring right back at him. Akira Tozen was the perfect image of a mage, cold and merciless even to his own flesh and blood, so when he calls it could only be something of upmost importance. The blonde stared at the screen in silence as many possibilities took form in his mind making his anxiety return once more, with no other choice he answered.
"Yes Father." The mage stated as Raynare looked at him with a eyebrow raised, she was surprised to see him so on edge all of a sudden, well more so than before, she kept quiet however, her mana reserves were almost restored so she could get away at any point if the need rose.
"Kin, drop anything you are doing and start heading back here." The parent left no room for rebudle as he seemed to not be in the mood for any disobedience, something really important must have happened to have him in such a state. "I expect to see you in no more than an hour." With those words the call was ended leaving the youngster staring out into the dark clearing, gripping onto his phone with his trembling hand, using long breaths he calmed down and sighed slipping the cell back to its place.
"...Do you know a way to get to Hokkaidō?" The blonde asked, he could in theory simply teleport once more there but he felt his ood wasn't prepared for casting just yet, plus he only practiced using magic circles when he was a devil so he didn't know how to operate them now with overcharging the spell with ood and most probably end up mush on the bottom of the ocean.

Half an hour later Kin was walking down the streets of Asahikawa dressed in a fresh pair of casual clotches consisting of a white long sleeved shirt under a black zipped up hoodie and gray jeans, sporting a pair of air force one's on his feet. He thanked God that Raynare was able to teleport them from that cold forest to his apartment, he took time to shower and change before being 'dropped off' in the city. His walk would last at least another mile or two so he had the opportunity to take in the beauty of his home city.
It was nothing that special if the mage had to be honest, just another urban city with tall buildings, people rushing to get either to work or home. Yet, that made it innately different from Kuoh seeing as that was a quiet town with not much happening, for human eyes at the very least. The place was supernatural beacon, the spot where the three factions signed this so called peace treaty was signed as a front to try and have their nonsensical fighting end.
So many souls wasted, washed away by the sands of time as the conflict persisted mindlessly. It was a miracle that humans haven't found out about it honestly, sure mages had all the knowledge hidden but those 'higher beings' did a very poor job of staying out of the spotlight so to speak. More shocking was the fact that the devils developed those evil pieces and 'recruited' humans, a lowly strategy in the eyes of the 'holy crusaders' certainly, but not idiotic.
Surprisingly however the biblical God let it span on, was our Lord truly as ruthless as some claim, was he unforgiving or simply desired to see his children resolve their own issues? Such a question could never be answered unfortunately, at least not easily, there is a 'place' where that answer resides but Kin didn't plan to lose his life chasing it.
The man finally stopped walking once coming face to face with a 3 meter iron fence past which a western style home could be seen. The Tozen family had a deep appreciation for the states frankly, able to be seen as the result of Kin's grandpa being a Yankee himself. The building was like any other 3 story high establishment, concrete gray on the outside with dark windows and a long driveway up to it's frontdoor.
Kin narrowed his eyes, for the first time ever he knew what would happen next in his life seeing as he was no longer bound by his parents will. He would meet up with Raynare soon, and join her in whatever she may be doing so this would effectively a goodbye for him. His hand reached forward touching the metalic gate infront of him, the cold feeling of the steel dancing upon his skin for a mere second as he 'looked' past it to sense the barrier placed around the whole house, also refered to as a bounded field, it would alarm the owner of any intrusion instantaneously and place a curse on them, overboard perhaps but a mage loves his secrets.
"Nunc ego sum domi." The words slipped off his tounge effortlessly resulting in the gate opening for him, welcoming him back.
He wasted no time and walked into the house with no formal greeting, some of the staff batted an eye in their young master's direction only to nod firmly and return to their duties. The inside of his childhood home was unchanged since his birth, plain brown walls on which beautiful and expensive paintings were hanged up, Kin didn't bother with the staff as he headed up the old stairs to his father's study on the last floor.
He took a long breath before knocking on the wodden door, he felt the usual mana presence from his parent inside, but it something much more intense rested, he couldn't tell anything else about it putting him on edge.
"Enter." The short replied was heard, his father's voice was calm and commanding, the blonde steeled his nerves and stepped in. On the outherside of the doorframe was an office with red walls, bookshelves made of darkwood covering most of said walls up to height of two meters with only enough room for a couch to be pressed up against them fo the right. In the middle of the chamber was a desk at which Akira Tozen was seated currently, an unusual smile on his face as his black hair was no longer covering his eyes making their mischievous nature clear as day.
The person who was seated in one of the chairs infront of the desk made Kin frezze up completely, his mind stopped for a second as the realization set in as said person turned to look at him. Before his eyes as an old man dressed in a black suit holding a cane in his hand, his hair white and slicked back owning a beard which only served to enhance his sharp look, a normal human at first glance, until he opened his eyes. Blood red orbs stared at the youngster as his breath quickened, his back straightening as he gulped which caused the elder to chuckle lightly.
"Speak of the devil." Akira spoke up, by the way he spoke he implied his son was the main subject of his conversation up to this, unknowingly the way he expressed it caused a bead of sweat to roll down Kin's forehead at the coincidence. "Kin, I want you to meet Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg. I presume you already know his ocupation." It wasn't a question or presumption, the parent knew his son well enough to see he was on edge the moment he saw the old man.
"Of course, it is a pleasure to meet you sir." The blonde nodded and bowed.
Zeltrich Schweinorg is the current head of the Clocktower, headquarters of the Mage Association and school for upcoming users of the arts. The Association was founded many years ago and looked over preety much anything magic related, hiding it from the public's eye, all known mage families answered to it. The old man himself was their strongest asset. Real magic couldn be achieved today by only one mean, reaching the place where it was stored up.
The Root, Akasha, The Akashic records... It has many names, but simply put it is the place where all souls originate from, and where they return to, including those inside of the Throne of Heroes. Existing outside of time, it stores and archives information of all possibilities and events, past, present, and future, of the world. The five magics, the highest class of mysteries, miracles only able to be performed using magic, could be claimed by reacjing the root, a process far easier said than done, the task was virtually impossible seeing as once reached through one method it would no longer show itself trough the same means.
Zeltrich was one of the very few people that have done the impossible, and acquired the second magic as a reward, Kaleidoscope. The little that is known about "Kaleidoscope" is that it encompasses the Operation of Parallel Worlds, allowing for travel between parallel worlds. In his endeavors with this magic the old man so happened to have been bitten by a vampire, making him an immortal dimension traveler. Understably, this made every other mage respect and fear him.
"The pleasure is mine boy." The magician nodded, his Japanese perfect down to his very accent, as Kin raised his upperbody.
"If you don't mind me asking sir, what brings you here ?" The young Tozen asked, he had no knowledge of his father being in any important reserch or getting close to reaching the root, so he wasn't able to find his visitor's reasoning.
"Funny enough, you do." Zeltrich answered as he stood up and walked to the blonde magi, further confusing him than anything else. The vampire walked around flawlessly even as he held onto his cane making Kin recognize it as more for looks than actual use. "I wish to invite you to study at the Clocktower." To that the youngster blinked once, twice, thrice before he completely grasped the words.
"EHHHHHH?!" To fly all the way from England to Japan only to tell him something so...so... trivial and most of all do it personally? Now something wasn't right, it made no sense, then again it wasn't a secret that the old man was a prankster and liked to mess around a lot.
"Oh that was just priceless!" Zeltrich laughed as he looked at the teen's bewilder face while clutching his side, he wnjoyed the moment for a bit before calming down and getting serious again. "Of course there's a reason for this, but I shall explain on our way, it is important that we move quickly." That was enough to have the magi regain himself and nod quickly signaling his understanding.
"I am afraid this is where we must say our goodbyes." The white haired man turned and adressed Akira, the mage simply nodded and gave his son a look that showed an emotion he never really seen, pride, the question was if it was for him being seeked out by the Wizard Marshal or to have his family needed by the Clocktower, either way he was mostly aiming the sentiment at himself.
"So it appers. Until our next meeting sir Zeltrich." The parent said as he direct his attention to his paperwork once more
.
That was the last thing Kin saw before he blinked and noticed the entire scene changed just like that. He looked around to see he was standing in middle of an empty college classroom before glancing at the magician next to him, such flawlessly technic of transportation left him speechless.
"You've had quite the day didn't you Kin?" The Wizard Marshal asked as he smirked, the blonde froze up at those words. There was no way of him knowing, yet the magi was more than aware of Zeltrich's magic making him think the vampire saw an alternate version of his.
"You could say that." The youngster sighed giving up, he couldn't get punished for his actions anyway it simply the fear of Raynare not wishing to see him again that put his mind in turmoil. "Just how much do you know ?"
"Pretty much all of it." The magician stated as he started to cricle the young man, his tone understanding and sympathetic. He himself had to deal with the supernatural for so much time now, the start was never easy especially when encountering the worst race possible when it came to arrogance. "You've accepted you harbor feelings that mage's would call unnecessary, shown weakness to a being who could take you out with no problem and even gotten yourself involved in a conflict much greater than you could imagine. Dare I say you've actually managed to surprise me to some extent."
"It's worth it." Kins clenched his fists, honestly he didn't really know if he said that to the Marshal or himself, but it didn't matter he'd stand by Raynare... he had no other choice. All the fallen would need to do is tell that 'girl' he planned to skip out on his payment for being made human again, ending it effortlessly.
"As long as you can say that and believe it, continue my boy." Zeltrich stopped walking and moved a hand to his beard messing with it as he closed his eyes, a stance many saw just before getting slammed over the head with some 'knowledge' a dimension traveler acquired in his eternity as a vampire. "Look at the world as you see it fit. Black and white, gray, hell, see it rainbow for all I care... Just keep doing what you want and take pleasure in it." The Marshal smirked at this point as an old memory flashed in his eyes, the perfect phrase itching on the tip of his tounge to be said.
"Do exactly as you like. That is the true meaning of pleasure. Pleasure leads to joy and joy leads to happiness." Kin couldn't fully grasp the meaning of it but he read between the lines, it was strangely invigorating to have someone support him directly, the feeling of gratefulness bubbling up in his gut made him chuckle lightly and nod to the vampire.
"...Unfortunately that is where I have to bring bad news your way." Zeltrich sighed, the main reason of his encounter with the magi needed to be addressed. Taking his arm of the teen's shoulder switching his cane to it he made sure no one could hear them by casting a bounded field around the classroom using the snap of his fingers, his whole complexion turned darker.
"What's wrong?" The blonde asked.
"A threath which has the potential to end our world is rapidly approaching. This wouldn't be my personal concern usually since the Counter Force would be able to deal with it, but..." A glint of anger flashed in the man's eyes as he contemplated his next words. "An event which took place not so long ago crippled it, if I can explain it like that. It is in a state of confusion at the moment which allowed for our threat to escape it's prison. I presume you know about Trihexa."
A cold chill ran up Kin's spine as horror infected his concussiones, simply stating that name could bring misfortune and death upon an individual. The greatest beast to ever exist carried the horrific name, it is the Evil of Humanity given form, but it was slipt apart into several other minor beasts that could only be descried as nightmares, simple horror stories.
"666... But how?" And more importantly how could he fit into a plan to stop it such danger, he was but a young man striving to achieve happiness for once, why did the world see fit to make his task so dificult?
"The supernatural may look under control, or so they try to, but in reality each of the three races hate each other, it is clear as day. All that negativity, all that malice, has attracted it. Not that humans have done nothing themselves, the last hundred years should hold enough hatred to equal all the years up to this point. What matters is that we are running out of time."
Kin knew there was more to it, he could tell the Marshal was trying to keep him on a need to know basis, annoying but understandable.
"...Why me?" The mage had no outstanding magic circles, no sacred gear and certainly no experience that could make up for the lack of those.
"Despite growing up under that pig of a father, you've turned out to be an admirable man, more humane than most who haven't been told to hide their emotiones as they aged. You have the guts to act, and will to go through with anything you belive in." While it was nice to hear it certainly played around the truth, Zeltruch knew something that he would not divulge easily. The ex devil could only sigh mentaly and sharpen his stare, there was only one answer when doom threatened your world, however that didn't make it any easier.
So, with a worried mind and confused heart Kin spoke up.
"What's your plan?"
_______________________________________
Utter madness. That was the only word Kin could use to describe what was, hopefully, just about to happen. It was less than an hour ago when Zeltrich explained his plan which made everything else that happened that night look cute.
The magi was currently in one of the Clocktower's underground floors, the room was devoid of any piece of furniture as stone marbling covered every inch, a red magic circle in the middle which softly glowed, giving the place an eery atmosphere. Stepping forward he looked closer and used the memory of a Gremory transportation circle in order to compare the two. This circle was much more complex, it's pattern a haywire connection of points that expelled enough mana he grew lightheaded staring at it for so long. Even with such an impressive output however Kin didn't know if it would cut it, the memory of the plan flashing in his mind.
"We will have to do Alaya's job." The vampire spoke as if that would be an easy task. "In apocalyptic events the Counter Force summons Heroic Spirits to protect humanity, since Alaya is unable to flow trough we shall do this ourselves. I will arrange for you to summon one of them, that should be enough to have Alaya on alert, so when the danger comes it will get off its metaphorical arse and summon the rest of the heros."
How something so extreme and out of left field could work was past the magi. But if anyone could pull it off it was Zeltrich, the magician had deceased if not centuries of experience, he was the cause of many events and learned from each of his endeavors.
One of such events was the Holy Grail War, a ritual which was created by the 3 eldest magi family. The Holy Grail, one of the oldest artifacts in the worlds, was actually an omnipotent wish granter, it could give the user anything but to claim it one nedded to win a battle royale against 6 other mages. And to top it all off, each contender has a heroic spirit under their control, also refered to as servants in this context. These heros were brought to this world and remain in it using their master's mana through a summoning ritual, should their master die they would soon perish as well. The whole ordeal was insipred from the way Alaya summoned servants to protect humanity, just at a at a smaller scale. A catalyst needed to summon a spirit usually tho Zeltrich assure him there was no need for one this time.
It was only a rumor, yet it claimed the person who gave the families the idea for the Grail War was Zeltrich. It was plausible, the wizard was a vampire at the end of the day and it was his nature to meddle as much as possible.
The blue eyed man stopped focusing on the circle and stood walking away a few feet. His nervousness showing, with each breath he steeled his mind to the best of his ability, this required every ounce of willpower and strength he had available to work. The thought of Trihexa set in, a horror of such magnitude he couldn't grasp it.
This was no longer an 'if' situation, this would work. He didn't know why it was Kin Tozen that needed to face such a challenge, the colossal task made him feel like a rat in front if a cobra, cornered and ready to accept defeat, yet he moved on.
He raised his hand and gave one last sigh of exasperation, eye lids shutting instinctually, his chest rising and falling with each steady breath. The distant sound of a fire resonated in his ears, before each spell he used an aria, a specific sound or feeling that trrigered his magic curcuits, to him that was the crackilng of a flame, so peaceful and dangerous at the same moment.
"Heed my words..." Kin's magic curcuits came to life, their marine blue glow piercing the darkness of the chamber yet paling to the outburst of energy formed by the magic circle.
"My will creates your body... And your sword creates my destiny..." Wind formed inside of the enclosed space, it picked any particles of dust that were present and caused a difficulty in breathing as it speed up. The mage ignored it, his mind feeling a tug onto his mana, it was weak and inconsistent, like whatever was trying to reach him was held back, and it only felt weaker, causing panic in the magi.
"If you heed our prayer of salvation... Answer and take up arms..." The blonde's panic subsided gradually with each word, it wasn't even feeling like he tried to speak, each syllable rolled off as he spoke truthfully and wholeheartedly. The circles pattern expanded as lined of red slithered on the ground covering the marbling, it's output growing by the second as the wind pressure became so strong Kin's hair and clotches flutered constantly.
"I hereby swear that I shall be all the kindness in the world... That I shall purge, all the hatred in the world..." The youngling could not explain what was happening, he felt a constant intake of mana from his magic curcuits, they buzzed and sparked while the crimson pattern extended onto the walls and the ceiling claiming every inch of stone. That weak grip to his mana now taking a syrong hold, feeling as if someone stuck a pump in his mystical veins and tried to dry his out.
"Seventh realm clad in great words of power..." His voice distorted, echoing as if millions spoke at once as his eyes rolled to the back of his head, body still standing miraculously. There was so much emotion, power, he felt hatred, happiness, agony, pleasure, envy, pride, overwhelming him to the point of spasming like he was having an epilepsy seizure.
"Come forth from the ends of the world, Guardian of Scales!"
A blinding flash of light took place, as it slowly cleared Kin dropped to his knees as the walls and ceiling crumbled, pieces of them falling around him. He was completely empty, no trace of mana left in him yet his magic curcuits still glowed perhaps in a state of shock. The human felt his face impact the ground as his own body weight was too much strain on his muscles at the moment resulting in his upperbody tipping over.
'Clinnnk-k-kk'
The sound of metal clanking rang in the mages ears, with his tired body he barely managed to register it and move his head to its source.
Even with his blury vision he made out a bright golden light, it was so breathtaking, it filled his heart with hope, slowly his vision became clear enough to make out a figure clad in silver and blue armor, a cloak, and a helmet carved to resemble a lion's face with mane. They were holding that briliant light in their hand, were they some kind of kind of divine being, Kin didn't know.
All he could do was watch as they reached up and just as their face was about to be revealed he blacked out, embraced in the realm of dreams.

Took my time, sorry, but I hope you enjoy.
I wish to explain how I rationalized some parts.
The "Age of Gods" is technically still going on in DxD, i know, but what deity is gone? Big G himself, so basically his absence resulted in the same thing that happens in the actual Nasuverse, yet seeings as humans have no way of knowing they think that mythological gods dissapeared, mages attributed it to gods taking their leave.
Zeltrich, man is basically deadpool but Dumbledore at the same time so him knowing about Trihexa coming is quite believable.
Now, Trihexa being all the Evil's of Humanity together was something that again was just a radom idea, but as I thought about it it made sense. It would be more powerful like that inherently and be able to break its prison, it took time but hey all that happened in the last century would be sure to make it only grow.
Alaya sleeping in, God's death has effectively weakned the counter force greatly and set it into a state close to hibernation, hence why many of the problems that happen in DxD can take plave without Archer coming in to kill everyone (poor guy).
And I assume y'all know who was summoned, to answer ,yes, 'they' are a grand servant in this. Nasu stated in the Fgo 5 year interview with Famitsu that any servant can claim the title of 'Grand' so why not.
Keep in mind English ain't my first language, so any mistakes you see are perhaps able to be skipped over in terms of grammar.
I'd love to have a beta for stuff like that (and also to get my ass into gear so procrastination isn't so freaking annoying) but I have no idea how to get one that's decent.
Thanks for reading, please give me any constructive criticism you have, I'll see you next time.
