Sorry for the delay everyone. I took a bit of a holiday during the first week to refresh my brain!

"Jay!" a distressed Yao burst into the living room and shouts for her husband, who is relaxing on the couch, watching some news. Jonathan immediately seats up with seeing the expression on his wife's face. "What's wrong?" he asks, wearing a look of concern "Where's Nawin?!" Yao asks, stopping in front of him "He's not in his room!" "He just got out of bed... You checked the bathroom?" "He's not there! The boy is still in his pajamas! Last I saw of him he was skipping around the hallway chanting it's his birthday."

Jonathan's eyes widen when feeling a slight breeze entering the living room. Without a word, he hastes toward the hallway and turns to see the front door slightly left open. "He's left the house!" "WHAT?!" Yao stops beside her husband and gasp when seeing the open door.

"Damn it!" Yao cuss then turns to her husband. "Jonathan stay here! Lucy is still asleep. I need to go get him" "Yao, calm dow-" "I can't calm down!" Yao retorts in anger "My baby is out there alone without protection! Stay here." Jonathan watches his wife takes off of the apron and throws it to the ground before rushing out of the house in haste.

"Hehehe!" the six-year-old Nawin giggle in glee as he skips through the neighborhood. The ears on the orange tiger pajamas' hoodie flop around with every step. "It's my birthday!" Nawin jumps and shouts out the words, grinning brightly. "Not only mine but Miraya's too! Hehehe." Nawin continues skipping toward his best friend's house.

Considering it is still early, the neighborhood was relatively quiet. Nawin giggles and does one more jump then once again land on his feet. The Pajamas' bottom covering the boy's feet is now dirty from dust. "Hmm?" Nawin blinks when looking at the asphalt and see a shadowy figure in front. The young boy blinks once more and is ready to turn around "NAWIN!" Yao's voice boom which promptly causes Nawin to jump around and sees his mother rushing towards him.

"Mommy?" Nawin utters, tilting his head before he is scooped up to the woman's arms. "You ok?!" Yao asks, examining her son's form carefully before releasing a sigh when spotting no ounce of injury or bruises on him. "You dummy!" Yao scolds, which cause the boy to flinch "Why were you leaving the house this early in the morning? No less in your pajamas!" "I-I wanted t-to see Miraya" Nawin answer in a stutter, his big brown eyes turning glossy "I-it's our birthday."

Seeing that look on her son's face, Yao's anger quickly diminishes. She can never stay mad when Nawin is on the verge of crying. Also, it didn't help her case that her son is the most adorable boy in the world in that pajama. "Oh dear," Yao kneels and gently set the boy on his feet. She dusts some specks of dirt caught on the pajama. "You really are going to give me a heart attack one day, sweetheart," Yao says "Sorry," Nawin replies and pouts "I make Mommy worry." "It's fine," Yao gives a soft smile and brings her son in to give him a kiss on the cheek. "I know how much you love your birthdays. It's natural for a kid to do some reckless stuff when they are this excited."

"Next time just don't go out all of a sudden without telling your dad or me ok?" "Ok!" Nawin nods and gives a big grin "I won't do it again" "That's my sweet boy. Now, want to go see Miraya?" "Yeah!"

"You won't have to look far," a new voice join, and Nawin's eyes beam. He turns around to see Miraya standing there, greeting him with a gentle smile. "Miraya!" Nawin shouts and jumps toward the girl, embracing her in a hug. "Happy Birthday!" he shouts with the biggest grin possible "Ehehe, Happy Birthday to you too, Nawin" Miraya replies, wrapping her arms around the boy.

Present

"What are you thinking about?" Nawin blinks to find himself back in the kitchen. He turns to the right and sees Miraya closing the fridge, the ice cream cake stored inside to be saved for after dinner. "Reminiscing that time I ran out of the house in that Tiger Pajama I used to wear," "Oh," Miraya lets out a giggle and wears a warm smile "You were so excited for your birthday that year. You gave your poor mother a scare there," "Yeah," Nawin admits, chuckling.

Nawin wears a soft smile, directing it at his longtime friend. "Because that was the first birthday we celebrated together. I was ecstatic." Miraya wordlessly takes the Makasha's right hand "Let's focus on this birthday, Nawin. Come now," she tucks gently "Everyone is waiting in the living room," "Alright." "By the way," Miraya glance back and give a grin "Thanks for helping me carry the cake here... That thing was heavy" "Ahaha, I saw you were struggling at the end there" Nawin state which has the girl giggle and nods in truth.

"There's the birthday couple!" Issei announces with a big grin, watching Miraya and Nawin entering the living room where everyone is seated. Before Nawin gets the chance to reply, Gabriel comes out of nowhere with a hug that sends both tumbling to the ground. "Oh my sweet child!" the beautiful Angel speaks in her ever motherly tone "Look at you now! Turning Eighteen. One step closer to becoming an adult!"

"Release him from your bosom, or he won't make it to an adult, Gabriel," Azazel comment, seeing his poor godson suffocating in the Angel's large breast. "Oops!" the slightly naive and air-headed woman quickly pulls Nawin away to see his pale face "I'm sorry there, my child" she bashfully apologies, giving a bright grin. Nawin shakes his head and gives a gentle smile "That's alright. I am glad you could make it, Aunt Gabriel" "Of course I would be here! I wouldn't miss it for the world."

With a more sincere and mature smile on her face, Gabriel places a hand on her godson's cheek. "I can still remember like it was yesterday when I was playing with you when you were still unable to walk, instead crawled around the place." Gabriel releases a pout "You were so adorable, but at least you have grown up to become a handsome man... Best looking one out of everyone here!" she quickly inserts the last one with a grin, which gets a chuckle from Nawin.

"I disagree with that," Riser inserts with a grunt "Really?" Miraya is the first to reply before anyone else. "Yeah, I'm the best looking guy here" "I disagree," Miraya speaks as a teasing smirk form on her lip "When the first thought in my mind of when I met you was wondering if this person was on the front page of the weekly douchebag magazine. I think that says something about you not being the best looking here."

"Bahahaha!" Xenovia, Issei, Kokoro, Senna, and Lucy, burst out laughing the loudest while the rest chuckle. Riser's face turns red from embarrassment and anger while glaring at the Culdos. "I hate you," he utters out "I am just stating a truthful fact here," Miraya merely replies.

"Miraya..." Gabriel calls out for the girl "Yes?" "Thank you," she gives a heartwarming smile while holding Nawin's hand "Thank you very much for being such a good friend for my dear godson. It is honestly a shame that I left before you came to his life" "It is," Miraya nod, giving her own smile "I think we could have gotten along fabulously" "Ahaha, nothing is stopping us for doing that now" "Ehehe, that is true."

"May I ask though," Miraya speaks, tilting her head "I met Nawin at a fairly young age. When he was five to be exact so how come we have never met before?" "Ah," Gabriel gives a smile, but it is strain ever slightly and express sadness "Due to some circumstances I was forced to move away. I said my goodbyes to Nawin when he was only four" "I see," Miraya nod "So you left a year before I met him."

Gabriel notice Nawin is squeezing her hand, making her turn to him and sees his warm smile. 'Don't hold regret about that anymore, Aunt Gabriel... I understand that it was a hard decision for you to have made, but you did it to protect Lucy and me. There's no need to be sad over the pass anymore,' 'Oh, Nawin,' Gabriel gives a loving smile 'Thank you for not holding a grudge. We haven't had a chance to talk about it, so it had me worry' 'Hold a grudge towards you? I could never, Aunt Gabriel.'

"Alright!" Senna exclaims and gains everyone's attention "Considering it is still a bit early for dinner! Why don't we play some games?" "What games exactly?" Kokoro asks "A game involving our birthday boy here!" Senna stops in front of Nawin and looks at him for a moment before grinning then proceeds to pinch his cheek. "... You do the most random things," Xenovia points out "Ehehe, can't help it" Senna releases Nawin's cheek, who's just giving her a blank stare.

"The first game should be," Senna claps her hands together and give a bright grin "Who knows our dear Nawin Makasha the best!" "Well... That's not fair," Kokoro comments "Yeah," Riser agrees then points at Nawin "Only a selective people present knows enough about Mister Secret here," "That's true," Misako says, pouting at the fact.

"That's why I decided to create this game!" Senna says and snatches Nawin's arm to pull him away from everyone then stops at the end of the room, next to the wrapped presents. "All the people that know Nawin-kun best shall participate in this game! Answer the questions I throw at you correctly, and you earn a point. Furthermore, while doing that the people in this room will get to learn more about our Enigmatic Birthday Boy here," Senna says with a teasing grin directed at Nawin.

"That's actually a good idea," Momo utters, impressed by her sister's plan. "This will certainly be fun to watch," Yuuto state with a smile, looking forward on seeing how this game will turn out. "But, Senna," Elise speak up "You don't know Nawin very well like us... So how are you going to give the question and expect to know the correct answer?" "Simple," Senna grabs Nawin's arm and use her other hand to point at his face "He will give me the answer to the questions first!" "Ah, I see."

"Why are you looking so grumpy, Na-tan?" Sirzech asks, seeing that look on the Makasha's face. "Na-tan?" Nawin repeats, his eyes widen in shock while some starts chuckling or giggling by the nickname. "I'm..." Nawin sighs "I'm not even going to comment on that. What I want to know is," he turns to look at the group "Am I really that enigmatic?" "Yes..." almost everyone answers in unison.

"Nawin," Riser points "Half of us don't even know what's your favorite food," "It i-" "Eep!" Senna comes forward and covers the Makasha's mouth with her hand. "That could be one of my questions! Don't ruin it." "Don't be so grumpy about that, Nawin-kun" Rias state, grinning brightly "You are just that kind of person. At least now the lot of us will get to know a bit more about you." Nawin merely gives a blank stare before grabbing Senna's wrist and pull her hand away from his mouth "Fine. Start the game then."

Senna takes stage and points at the first individual that will be participating. "Akeno-san! Of course, you'll be in this one!" "Ufufu, how exciting," Akeno giggles, wearing a bright smile. "Before I move one," Senna turns to two specific blonds "Family member won't participate!" "I am fine with that," Lucy shrugs then gives a smirk "I want to see how well the people you picked know our Big bro" "It will be very interesting!" Asia joins in, giggling.

Seeing the sisters are fine with her decision, Senna moves on to her next pick. "Miraya-san you shall enter this," "Happy to be a part of it," "Rias-san you too" "Ehehe, I was hoping to be in this!" "And lastly, Issei-san!" "Yeah, bring it on!" "So, you picked all the people who know him the best from the group," Xenovia state "Good choices, though I wonder who's going to win this..." Yuuto utters.

"Isn't it obvious," Riser joins in, crossing his arms "Akeno should have this in the bag. She is his girlfriend," "That is an obvious choice," Yuuto nods. "Who you think is going to win this, Akame?" Xenovia leans over to her friend and whisper "Miraya-san," "Really?" Xenoiva blinks in surprise by the answer "Yes, Akeno doesn't know Nawin-kun as well as you all seem to believe." Xenovia is once again taken aback by the comment from the Knight, who is merely observing the scene with a stoic gaze. Even though it wasn't implied, Xenovia can't help but feel like there's some conflict between Akame and Akeno. She has never once seen the two got along. Xenovia was about to open her mouth until she hears the game is ready to start.

"Alrighty!" Senna sees the contenders all seated on a chair in front, across from her and Nawin. The adults and group quietly rest at the background, watching while enjoying some snacks and drinks. "With these..." Senna pause and turn to a specific person "Akame-chan, do you want to join?" she asks. Everyone's sight is set on the Knight. Akame blinks and looks at Nawin, who merely gives her a smile to signal it is her choice.

Akame shrugs then get up to her feet. "If you wish of me," "Alright!" Senna cheers, watching her friend takes a seat next to Rias "Five strong contenders!"

"We are going to have a total of five questions! We will start off with an easy one, but it will quickly get harder!" Senna explains, and all the contenders nod along. "Momo, please pass the mini whiteboards," Senna asks her sister "Of course." Momo hands over all whiteboards to the contenders before returning to her seats. "Just right your answers down there. Don't want any of you to copy your opponents!" Senna says with a wink. Some sweatdrops a bit when seeing how serious the Hinamori is taking this game.

"The first question is an easy one," Senna says and grin "Even I know this. What's Nawin-kun's favorite color?" "He has more than one," Akeno state "Sure he does!" Senna grins "Write them down then!" It takes less than a second for everyone to write down their answers. "Easy," Issei state with a grin.

"Ok... Everyone, reveal your answers!" Senna orders and all five turn their boards around. "Wow... Same answers across the board," Senna mutters in a bit of surprise. "So, your favorite colors are Red, Black, and Blue?" Riser questions, seeing the answers when they were written done. "Correct," Nawin confirms it, smiling "Those are my favorite colors."

"Come now!" Rias whines "Really challenge here! I want to test my knowledge of how well I know about my Little brother!" "Little... Brother?" Miraya repeats, blinking in surprise by the out of nowhere remark. "Don't listen to her, Miraya" Nawin calls out, sighing "She's got a few screws loose" "Hey!" Rias pouts "That's mean, Nawin-kun" "Mhm." Miraya merely giggles at the two's interaction.

"Let's kick it up a few notches then!" Senna says then leans close to Nawin to whisper her question. Her voice is so soft and low that even the devils with their heightened senses can't catch it. After getting the question, Nawin turns to whisper the answer to Senna's ears. "Ehehe," Senna giggles and leans back "Your voice tickles my ear" "You are such a child at times," Nawin state "When I have a good time, I am a child again!"

Senna turns to the contenders and brings her right hand up to indicate the second question. "What is Nawin-kun's favorite film!" she asks and immediately sees almost all the contender's blinks at a halt. Unlike the previous questions, they aren't able to write an immediate answer. Except for Miraya, who is already done and have the board place down on her lap to hide the answer. Akeno's eyes gleam as an answer comes to her mind and she rights down. Rias and Issei are the next to write their answers. Senna watches Akame opens her eyes then writes on the board.

"Seeing that this was more of a hard one," Senna state "Let's have the participants show their answer one by one." "Issei," Senna point "You up first, buddy!" "Well," Issei brings the board up then turns it around, "I wrote down The Dark Knight. We watched that once and you'd said it was one of your favorite movies." "Good pick," Nawin reply with a soft smile "But, it isn't my all-time favorite, Issei." "Ah," the Hyoudou pouts "Oh well, I don't gain a point then" "No you don't!" Senna replies with a grin "You sounded... Too happy with that," Issei points out and receive a giggle as a response.

"My turn!" Rias announce and flip her board around "I wrote Perfect Blue! You love that film, Nawin-kun!" "It's in my top five," Nawin state "But, not my favorite" "Aww, alright." "Akeno!" Senna announces, "Show your answer, please." "Of course," Akeno turn her board around, and Nawin's smile widens when seeing the answer "You are correct, my love," he says "The Last Samurai... That's my all-time favorite."

"Ever since we dated, we have watched that film three times now," Akeno inform and giggles "You loved that film." "It's the only film that has made him openly cried," Miraya speaks up, turning her board to show the same answer. "Really?!" Misako asks, her eyes glowing in surprise "Wuss," Riser jabs in before getting smack by Ravel "Don't be rude!" "Can't be helped," Nawin comments, shrugging "I was young, of course, and that last battle scene was just a work of art... Especially when that music was playing."

"Before our birthday boy goes on a gushing spree," Senna state and sends a teasing wink at Nawin, who returns with a glare, "Akame-chan, please show us your answer." Akeno looks and is taken back when seeing Akame has written down the same answer as her and Miraya. In honest Akeno expected only herself and Miraya to get this question right considering besides his family, they are the closest to Nawin. The subject on favorite movies isn't brought up in the group, so of course, none of the members would know Nawin's favorite. Only the people that live with him or knows him long would.

Akeno underestimated how close Akame is with Nawin. And in deep down her heart, she honestly doesn't find that fact comfortable. "Good work, everyone!" Senna exclaims and claps "Akeno-san, Miraya-san, and Akame-chan scores another point!"

The contender watches Senna and Nawin exchange words once more. "Ok," Senna turns to the rest and grin "This is interesting... We are taking a bit of a different route with True or False question! So, truth or false! Nawin-kun once made his goal to be a doctor!" The question garners lots of intrigue from the audience while some of the contenders take a moment to think about that. Miraya merely wears a warm smile then silently writes her answer down.

A couple of minute passes by, and everyone has their answers written down. Nawin is interested in this result. Only one person in that row knows the answer. "Akame-chan!" Senna picks "Reveal your answer please!" "I wrote true," the Knight answers, showing the board. Akeno turns to Nawin, and her eyes widen when he nods "That's the right answer." "Really?!" Issei exclaims, showing his board to see the word false "I thought you'd wanted to be like an Actor." "At least something in the entertainment world. You'd do great in that market" Rias says, showing her board that displays the same answer as her lover.

"Perhaps now I wouldn't' mind giving stuff like Acting a go," Nawin state and tilts his head "But, in the past, I did want to become a doctor... For Miraya's sake." "Miraya-san's sake?" Xenovia repeats while the rest that is oblivious to this fact sends a look to Nawin for him to continue. "As most of you all know," Miraya decides to take over "I suffered from an irregular heartbeat and anemia. Not the best combo... and it made my life difficult at times. Some days I would feel so weak that I can't get out of bed and other days I was healthy enough to run around the park with Nawin. It was a struggle, and Nawin witnessed all of it."

Everyone remains silent, engrossed by the Culdos's story. Miraya looks up and sees Nawin giving a smile to her, which she returns with her own. "So, on that one day when I was too weak to leave bed... Nawin came marching into the room and stopped by the side to proclaim that he will become the best doctor possible to find a solution for my sickness. He wanted to become a doctor to get me healthier to the point I can live a normal life. If not, that then at least looked after me properly if I ever fell ill again in the future."

'Miraya-san...' Misako stare at the Culdos with a look of understanding. In a way, the two of them share a very similar path. They were both born ill. But, one difference is that Miraya had a friend in Nawin to be there with her in every step of the way. In a way, Misako is envious of that, but she is gladder that Miraya had Nawin with her. Hearing this story. Misako is happy that Miraya and Nawin are reunited after such a long separation. Somehow fate was kind to Miraya, and she survived after that dreadful event. 'It's almost like something out of a novel...'

"I expect nothing less from you, Nawin-kun," Irina speaks up, wearing a fond smile "Wanting to become a doctor to help ease Miraya-san's illness. You possess a good heart." Nawin sees everyone giving him that smile in agreement with Irina's words. "Come now," he speaks, getting a bit flustered "No need to give me such praise. It's only right I would make that decision considering what Miraya was going through" "Still doesn't change the fact it was a chivalry and thoughtful decision, Nawin" Miraya state.

"Hehehe, let's settle down now," Senna comes to her friend's rescue, knowing he doesn't take compliments well. 'The guy is too humble at times,' Senna state in her mind, grinning fondly at the fact. "Akeno-san," Senna turns "What did you write down?" "... False," Akeno utters and turns the board to show the answer. Senna blinks along with some of the group, surprised that Akeno got an answer wrong this early in the game.

"It's ok, Akeno." Nawin quickly inserts when seeing the troubled look in his lover's eyes. Clearly, she is taking it a bit hard on getting the answer wrong. Akeno looks up to see that warm smile on the Makasha's face. "That fact is something I kept hidden even towards you... It's ok that you got it wrong. I'm guessing you were thinking the same line as Rias and Issei?" "Y-yeah," "Ahaha, it's fine, love. Just win the other questions" "Ok," Akeno replies with a brighter smile.

Akame spares a mere glance at Akeno. A look of distaste lingers in those red orbs. 'I got it wrong... While she,' Akeno shift gaze to Akame, who is facing forward with the stoic expression 'Got it right.' The Himejima's grip on the board tightens ever slightly as she turns forward, ready to hear the next question and intending to answer it right.

"By the way, Akame" Nawin speak up "Yes?" "Why did you write true? Was it a guess?" "No..." Akame shakes her head then offers a faint smile "I knew that possibility is a fact. Nawin-kun, you never hesitate to help an innocent bystander, so in my mind, the idea of you being a doctor is not out of the realm of possibilities. That's why I picked truth." "Oooh," Rias nods "That's true! I should have thought more on that!" she berates herself.

A warm smile form on Nawin's face when listening to his Knight's words. "It's flattering to hear you thought so deeply into the question, Akame" he states, which causes a faint blush to form on the girl's face while she merely gives a quiet nod. Miraya wears a joyful smile, seeing Akame in a new light after that comment. 'Though she is quiet and impassive. She really cares for you, Nawin.'

"Hehe, now let's move on to the fourth question!" Senna announces and once again lean toward Nawin. "This is interesting," Senna grins "What is Nawin-kun's guilty pleasure?" Senna blinks when seeing all the five contenders quickly sets to their boards to write the answer without needing to think on it. Nawin rolls his eyes, expecting nothing less by this question.

"Um... I guess all of you show your answers," Senna says, not expecting such a quick response. Everyone turns their board around to show all five wrote down 'Cute things.' "Ahahah!" Lucy bursts out laughing "It is so easy!" "Onii-chan's biggest weakness and guilty pleasure," Asia informs, giggling. "The guy becomes a wuss against anything cute," Riser state with a smirk

"Is that really his weakness?" Sirzech says, as a devilish grin form on his face. "Aye!" Nawin glares at the Satan "Don't even think of coming up with some crazy idea in that head of yours, Sirzech" "Ahaha, you are simply observing too deep into the matter, Nawin-kun." The Makasha's eyebrows twitch when seeing Sirzech exchanging winks with Rias.

"Hehe, everyone gets the point!" Senna exclaims then quickly moves close to Nawin "The last question... This is going to be hard," she states with a wink before shifting to the Makasha. Everyone notices Nawin's expression change to one of shock when hearing Senna's words. Clearly, this next one is going to be different.

Senna faces the others and wears a smile. "What is Nawin-kun's dream right now?" The question caught a lot off-guard. Not expecting such a heavy topic. But, one person that's most surprised by it is Irina. Since she once talked about this matter with Nawin during that beautiful night. 'When I find out what my dream is... You'll be the first person I will tell,' Nawin's words reply in the Shidou's mind. 'Nawin-kun...' Irina utters in her mind as she looks at her dear friend with curious eyes.

Unlike before, the question has set the five contenders back. While everyone was thinking hard on the answer, Miraya merely stares at Nawin. She searches deep into his brown eyes. Nawin sees this and simply give a smile, which she returns with her own. 'I see...' Miraya shift to the board and writes down an answer, making her the first to do so.

Akeno grits her teeth as she stares hard at the blank board. Her lover's dream. In complete honesty, she has no idea. The topic of their future is something rarely spoken between the two of them. Miraya glances at the Himejima and see the emotion of frustration shown on the girl's eyes. A look she did not expect from Nawin's girlfriend. She assumed Akeno to know this answer without much difficulty.

A few minutes pass, and everyone has their boards set down. "That took a bit," Senna notes "Not exactly an easy question there, Senna" Issei replies, wearing a sheepish grin. Nawin remains silent and just watch on, genuinely curious on the answers from his friends.

Senna picks the Gremory to go first. "Well," Rias turns the board around "A long and happy life?" she reads it out with a beaming grin "... Don't all of us want that?" Nawin replies with a blank look "Well... Yeah, soooo?" "No, you are wrong" "Awww!" Rias pouts. "I got a better one!" Issei inserts with a big grin and turns the board around "Getting rid of all the douches in the world... Including Riser!"

"You wanna go, Hyoudou!" Riser shouts, standing up and ready to march forward until he gets a whack on the head from Lucy. "Sit your arse down!" "Grrhhh!" the Phenex growl before reluctantly returns to his seat. Crossing his arms, he glares at the chuckling Issei while ignoring the sound of sniggers around him.

"Amusing as your answer was, Issei," Nawin state with a smirk "That is wrong" "Ahaha, I knew it would be. Can't really think of one currently so I just decided to make a joke" "And it was a good one" "Ehehe, thanks."

"I decided to write nothing," Akame starts and turns the board around, showing nothing on it. Nawin blinks along with the rest. "Um, Akame-chan you sure with that decision?" Senna asks and merely receive a nod. In truth, Akame has an answer, but if she were to write that down and display it, it would cause some commotion. For her King's sake, she refrains and simply doesn't answer.

"Alright then," Senna turns to the Himejima "Please show yours, Akeno-san." "... Starting a family," Akeno informs and turn the board around. The answer catches everyone off-guard. "Oh, my heavens!" Gabriel speaks, fanning herself "Too early for my sweet boy!" "Calm yourself," Azazel inserts, sweatdropping at the flustered woman. "Awww," Yao giggles, finding the answer adorable while Jonathan chuckles in amusement.

With a soft smile on his face, Nawin opens his mouth to speak. "Lovely answer, my love, but that's not my dream right now" he states then gives a teasing grin "A bit too early to think of that. Miraya turns the board around and shows what's written on it. "Unclear?" Senna reads the answer, blinking in surprise, a feeling that is shared with many others.

"There's no solid answer for that question was it?" Miraya asks. Senna's eyes widen while Nawin merely closes his eyes as a small smile form on his lip. "H-how?" Senna asks, which left everyone speechless that Culdos got the question correct. "I looked at him in the eyes... I've seen that looked before when we were young. Before Nawin decided that he wanted to be a doctor, he didn't have a clue what he wanted to do for the future, doesn't know his dream. Right now, he has that very same look. Unclear on what his dream is."

Everyone is stunned by the Culdos's words. She keeps surprising many at how well she knows Nawin. Even better than a person like Akeno. '... Miraya,' Yao looks at the girl with heavy eyes. Many emotions run through those brown orbs. Same with Jonathan, who stares at the young girl with sadness and confliction.

'So...' Irina stare at Nawin 'You still don't know your dream, Nawin-kun.' She shifts to Miraya. 'They really do share a special bond.' A smile of envy appears on the Angel's face. Try as she might to hide it, it appears.

Rias quickly notice Akeno being utterly silent. Even though she sees that stoic look in her friend's face. There's hidden anger behind those violet orbs. 'Akeno...' Rias hopes that her friend won't do or say anything reckless. Though, she has much more faith in the Himejima now compared to the past. Akeno has matured a lot since then.

Opening his eyes, Nawin gives a warm smile to his longtime friend. "Good job, Miraya. As expected of you... You can read me like an open book," "You aren't as stoic as you like to believe, Nawin" Miraya replies with a teasing smirk. "Oh no, Miraya-san," Issei speak up, pointing at his friend "You should have seen him when he first enrolled in Kuoh Academy! That guy is as cold as ice!" "Ehehehe, that might be true, but he always has been a big softy to me" Miraya replies.

"Hey," Senna turns to Nawin and gives a stern look. "Why can't you be a big softy towards me?!" "Because you are annoying," Nawin replies so swiftly that it causes Senna to hold her chest and gasp in shock "H-how could you?" The others chuckle at the two's interaction.

"Anyway," Senna faces the contenders with that bright smile back on her face. "Winner of this game is Miraya-san! Who comes out with a flawless victory! Woohoo!" Everyone gives a warm applaud for the Culdos winning. "Thank you, everyone" Miraya bows her head in respect before shifting to the Hinamori "That was a fun game, Senna-san. Well done." "Ehehe, glad you enjoyed it!"

"Second place goes to Akame-chan! Who scored four points. Third place goes to Akeno-san! Who scored three points. For Rias-san and Issei-san... You two are the losers" Senna state with a teasing smirk. "Lovely," Issei cross his arms and rolls his eyes. "Be more open to your big sister!" Rias demands, pointing at Nawin. "Not happening," he replies which sets the Gremory to hang her head down, as a cloud of depression appears on top of her.

Nawin shift to Akeno and the two make eye contact. He gives a warm and reassuring smile which sets the Himejima at ease and wash away her frustration. She is able to give her own sincere smile in return.

Time Skip

"Gotta go!" Issei runs up the stairs and rushes down the hallway to finally reach the front door leading to the lavatory. The bathroom downstairs is currently occupied. Some drank too much drink before dinner. "Need to hurry, or those delicious looking buffalo wings will disappear!" Issei grabs the doorknob and is about to twist it when a hand taps on his shoulder from behind.

Issei blinks and glances back to see Kokoro staring at him. "I need to go as well," she states forwardly. "Ok?" Issei replies with confusion, not moving a muscle. Kokoro raise an eyebrow "Isn't it a common courtesy to let a woman go first?" she asks. Issei stares long and hard at his Queen before sighing, stepping aside "Fine."

Kokoro steps forward and grabs the knob. Before she can turn it, Issei places his right hand back on her stomach while moving his feet behind hers. "Guh!" Kokoro yelps when she is trip backward and lands on her bottom. She blinks in utter stun and looks up to see Issei in the bathroom while wearing a devilish grin. "Psych!" he shouts then shuts the door, locking it.

Kokoro blinks in dumbfounded before shooting up to her feet. She glares with heat at the door then slams her right fist on it. "Issei! Get your ass out here!" "I yearn for gender equality, my dear Kokoro!" Issei retorts from the other end "Oh yeah, then there won't be any problem when I kick your ass the moment you finished!" "Then I guess I'll be in here for a while!" Issei sings back which just serve to anger the orange-haired girl further.

"What is going on up there?" Xenovia comments, hearing all the shouting on the second floor from all the way to the dining room. "Sounds like Issei pulled another stunt on Kokoro," Rias state with a smirk "Happens often?" Yuuto asks "Not really, because Kokoro can get quite scary when she's angry." "Those two do have a bit of a physical relationship," Asia notes "I hope Kokoro-san doesn't accidentally hurt Issei-san," "Ahaha, don't worry, Asia-chan" Rias speaks up in a reassure tone "It's just a different type of relationship they share. Even though Kokoro is a bit violent, at the end of the day she cares for Issei's wellbeing." "That's why she is very dedicated to getting Issei in the best shape of his life and maintaining!" Elise inserts. "That's a relief to hear," Asia reply with a warm smile.

"She does act like his mother at times," Koneko notes. "I heard that!" Everyone at the table turns to see Elise and Issei entering the room. The latter is rubbing his head in pain. "What happened?" Misako asks, watching Issei takes a seat beside Rias while Kokoro seats next to him. "Got whacked," Issei replies before grinning sheepishly "Kind of deserve it. Anyway?!" he turns to all the food at the table "You guys haven't started yet! Thank goodness."

"Didn't I informed that we were going to wait until everyone is at the table?" Yao question "Oh, sorry, I was rushing so I must've not heard you." "Well, now that everyone is here," Yao claps her hands together and smile "We can dig in!"

"Buffalo wings, mash potatoes, lamb chop, salmon," Nawin looks at all the fantastic looking dishes at the table before shifting to the right at Miraya. She is seated next to him while Akeno occupies the other side. "You selected all of this, haven't you?" "Ehehe, of course," Miraya admits then give a wink "All of your favorites, birthday boy." Nawin chuckles and gives a grin "Thanks, Miraya" "You're welcome. Now, please dig in! I, your mother, Akame-san, Grayfia-san, Gabriel-san, and Kokoro-san worked hard to make all of this."

"Before we dig in though," Nawin speaks up to gain everyone's attention. "I didn't get to say this yet, but... Thank you, everyone. From the decorations around the house to the food on this table. All of you worked hard to get it done in such a timeframe. Really, I appreciate it." Everyone at the table wears a smile at the Makasha's words. "In other words," Issei inserts, "You love us, right?" "Yes," Nawin lets outs a short laugh before giving a big smile "Everyone set at this table is very dear to me."

"Love you too, buddy," Issei says, bringing the glass up "Now let's cheers to our birthday boy and girl! Can't forget about you, Miraya-san!" Rias stands up, holding her own glass "It wouldn't be possible without you," she states, grinning at the Culdos. "Please," Miraya taps Nawin on the shoulder "It's all about him today." "Come now," Nawin grabs Miraya's hand and stands, pulling her too "It's also about you, Miraya. It's a Duo Birthday."

"Alright," Miraya grabs her glass of water and brings it up, wearing a bright smile "It's our birthday." Soon everyone is on their feet holding their glass forward. "Cheers!" Issei exclaims. "Cheers!" Everyone shouts and click their glass together before drinking down their chosen beverages in one go.

"Now let's eat," Nawin says, and with that everyone digs into all the delicious meals set in front of them. "This was the kind of food you eat regularly back in the day, Nawin?" Azazel asks his godson "Yeah." "No wonder you got a bit chubby in those photos that your mom would send to me." "Hey now!" Gabriel inserts and gives a soft glare to the Fallen Angel "My sweet child was adorable!" "... I didn't mean it as an insult, Gabriel" Azazel state, sweatdropping.

"Are they always like this?" Sirzech question Jonathan, who is set on his right. "Very much so when it comes to Nawin" the Father state before chuckling "Gabriel was always afraid Azazel would corrupt Nawin. Sometimes she is more overprotective of him than even Yao." "That is not difficult to believe," Grayfia comment with a small smile, relishing the peaceful and bright atmosphere around the table.

"Miraya," Rias leans in and whispers to the girl's ears. Keeping it as quiet as possible and away from Nawin, who is chatting with Akeno at the moment. Miraya swallows a spoonful of the pork fried rice before turning to the Gremory, blinking. "Yes?" "I have to ask to this... But do you have a picture of Nawin-kun when he was young?" "I indeed do," Miraya answers, a bit taken aback by the erupt question "Why do you ask?" "Akeno and I once tried to get a hold of the photo album showing Nawin-kun younger days, but he caught us before we got the chance to look. Since then he hides them so do you have some right now?" Rias asks, her eyes gleaming with excitement.

Miraya can't help but giggle before giving the nod. "Lucky for you... I do have some in my possession. There are specific ones I have saved on my phone actually," "Oh please! You simply have to show me!" "Ehehe, a moment." Miraya reaches into her jeans and pulls out the phone. "Nope," out of nowhere Nawin snatch the smartphone out of the Culdos hands. "NOOO!" Rias reach over to gets it, but the phone is already resting by the Makasha's chest and away from her reach.

The Gremory's shout gains everyone's attention on the table. "What are you kids up to?" Azazel asks, "He took the sacred treasure!" Rias shouts, pointing accusingly at Nawin, who sweatdrop at the term the Gremory used to describe his past photos. "You are no-" Nawin gets interrupted when feeling a soft hand slithers into his and takes the phone away. "Eh?!" he snaps to the left and sees Akeno possessing the phone now. "I think it is time we see the time when you were at your most adorable, Nawin-kun" Akeno state, grinning teasingly.

"Have you honestly not shown even Akeno-san your old photos, Nawin?" Miraya asks "Well..." "Now why would you refuse your girlfriend to see the photos of when you were the cutest boy in the world?" She presses on, carrying a teasing smirk. "Miraya speaks the truth," Gabriel joins in "It's a great shame that none of your friends have witnessed what you look like back then. It's almost a crime that none of them really know just how adorable you were!" the Angel starts gushing, thinking back on how her dear godson used to look like.

Hearing all the comments about how Nawin used to look in the past quickly have everyone at the table become exceedingly curious. "Show us!" Everyone jumps when Misako suddenly yells out those words. They all turn with a look of surprise, not expecting the usually modest girl to speak out first. Misako blinks as a bright blush form on her cheeks, realizing what she just did. "I-I mean," she whispers, looking down in embarrassment "I'm c-curious to see what Nawin-kun... Looks... Like."

"Bahaha!" Senna burst out laughing "She reverted to a child at that last part." "See!" Rias points at the blushing girl "Even poor Misako wants to see it badly! After all the talks we have to see it!" "Hmm, I don't know if any of you guys are worthy enough to see how adorable my Big Bro used to be" Lucy state out with a smirk, which just build more excitement around the table.

"I really don't see the big deal here," Nawin looks at all of his friends that are just staring at him. "Then show us, bro!" Issei exclaims, supporting his girlfriend "Are you that embarrassed?" Riser asks with a taunting smirk. Seeing just how much his friends want to see the photos, and noticing Nawin isn't budging, Miraya decides to take the situation to her own hands.

"Nawin," Miraya calls out to her dear friend, gaining his attention "Yes?" "Please show them at least a few pictures... Consider it one of my birthday wishes, hmm?" "Y-You..." Nawin stares in astonish that the Culdos is taking their side. But his eyes suddenly narrow when spotting that teasing grin just ready to burst from Miraya's face. The side of her lip is twitching every slightly upwards. 'Oh, I see... You just want to embarrass me.'

Nawin sends a glare to the Culdos to deliver her the signal that he knows what she's up too. Miraya merely responds with an innocent grin. "... Damn it," Nawin's shoulders lower in defeat as a massive sigh escape from his mouth. He can't refuse that innocent grin. It's as effective as Lucy's puppy eyes or Asia's adorable smile.

"Pass me the phone, love," Nawin request, shifting to Akeno. "If you really don't want to show it then it is fine, Nawin-kun" she replies, a bit worried that their joke has gone too far and irritated the Makasha. With a reassuring smile, Nawin takes the phone off her hand "It's alright. I shouldn't be so childish over the matter. You all clearly want to see what I used to look like, so I won't refuse. Especially after what all of you have done to make this celebration possible."

Nawin throws the phone to Miraya, who catches it then looks up. "Two photos," he states "That's all you get to show them so pick wisely." "You just made that rule to see which ones I would pick, aren't you?" Miraya asks with a knowing smirk. Nawin wears his own smirk before crossing his arms "Perhaps."

Miraya giggles before opening her phone. "... No peeking," she says, holding the phone close to her chest when catching Rias leaning from the side. The Gremory pout before returning to her seat. "Was he really that adorable?" Sirzech whispers to Azazel to get the most honest opinion out of the rest of the Makasha family. "The kid was pretty adorable," Azazel chuckles "He could charm anyone with just a smile back then." "I see," Sirzech reply with a warm smile.

"Never thought I'd see the day we all are so invested on some photos," Kokoro state, seeing everyone's eyes are set on Miraya, eagerly waiting for her to show the photos. "Life is strange, isn't it?" Lucy state and chuckles, crossing her arms behind her head.

"Considering I can only show two..." Miraya's smile widens "I might as well show all of you some of my favorites. Though," she looks up and gives a wink "Not my personal favorite though. That's only for me to see." "That's unfair!" Senna shouts, "Now you just made us even more curious on what your favorite is!" "She did it deliberately, Senna" Nawin state.

Miraya giggles before turning the phone around to show everyone. "Anyway, here's the first one." Everyone's eyes set on the screen and all the girls let out a gasp while the boy's eyes widen. "Awwww!" the girls at the table gushes and leans close to the screen to examine the photo closer. "Look at him in that custom!" Rias says, blushing at the cuteness "And that hat... So precious" Misako whispers, looking like she's about to burst in a cry of joy.

"That grin... So adorable," Irina utters and shifts to Nawin, who is sat there quietly with a faint blush adorning his cheek, his eyes remain closed. "I told you all," Gabriel speaks up, grinning proudly "My dear godson was the most adorable boy in the world!" "Be that adorable again!" Senna demand, pointing at the Makasha. "Bahaha, we better find a way to reverse time then," Xenovia state, chuckling.

"Nawin-kun," Akeno grasp his right hand and gives a soft squeeze. Seeing he still a bit adamant with the idea of showing the photos. "You should take a look." With the help of his lover's encouraging words, Nawin complies and opens his eyes to view the picture Miraya has chosen. A smile tugs on his lip when seeing the one she selected. "That's a cute Santa costume you were wearing there, Nawin" Issei state with a grin. "Yeah... It was the first Christmas I celebrated with Miraya. So, it was a special one."

The photo shows a six-year-old Nawin wearing a Satan Claus costume, minus the beard. He was holding a red sack with his right hand while giving a thumbs up with the left hand. A big grin adorns his slightly chubby face, which was directed straight at the camera.

"When I saw him entered the living room in that outfit, I just knew I had to take a picture," Miraya informs, wearing a warm smile. "Look at his chubby cheeks," Rias whispers then shift gaze to Nawin "Please g-" "I don't even want you to finish that sentence," Nawin interject, giving a blank look at the now pouting Gremory.

"Got some good genes in you, Nawin" Kokoro state with a smirk "Young you were cute and now older you are handsome." "Isn't everyone cute when they are young?" Riser grumbles out. "Ooh," Xenovia's expression shifts one to grimace "I am smelling some strong stench of jealousy around the table here. It's awful!" The other laughs at the comment while Riser sends a glare toward the smirking Knight.

"I envy you a bit, Miraya-san," Akeno state "Getting to know Nawin-kun at such a young age, and when he was that adorable." "Ahahaha," Miraya lets out a soft laugh before giving a smile to the Himejima. "Please don't be. Look at him now," Miraya shifts to Nawin, giving him a warmer smile. "He's grown up to be a fine man. A handsome one too. I believe lots of girls are envious of you now, Akeno-san" "Ufufufu, I cannot deny that."

"Show us the next one," Xenovia comments, finding all this highly amusing to watch. Seeing a youthful picture on a person she looks up to is weird but at the same time very entertaining for the blue-haired Knight. "The last one so please make it good, Miraya-san!" Senna quickly inserts, watching the girl scroll through the photos.

Something catches Nawin's eyes. He spots how quiet Asia is and notice that expression on her face. Even though her eyes have become permanently shut, the emotions on her face are always clear to read. So, the current look of sadness worn on Asia's face is clear as day. Koneko notices this too and sees him looking. She sends him a look as if asking for aid to cheer her best friend up.

It didn't take much for Nawin to figure out why his little sister is sad. With her sight sealed away. She can't participate in this act currently happening around the table. Even though fixing her eyesight is out of his hands right now, Nawin still won't stop to find a way to make his little sister happy. To turn that look of sadness into a bright smile that he adores.

'Asia...' The young Makasha perks when hearing her brother's voice in her mind. 'O-Onii-chan? Is something wrong?' she asks, a bit taken aback by exchanging words through telepathic method, in the middle of dinner. 'Don't think I haven't notice that look on your face, Asia,' 'Oh...' 'I know it must be tough not seeing those pictures with the others,' 'Everyone sounds like they are having a good time... And, I want to see what you looked like when you were young, Onii-chan.'

Nawin's eyes considerably soften when hearing the sadness in the blonde's voice. 'Asia, I love you, and if I have the opportunity this very moment to get your sight fix, then I would do it without hesitation. If I had to, I would fight against the gods to make it possible... As much as I wish there's a solution, there currently isn't one.' 'I know, Onii-chan,' Asia gives a faint smile 'I believe you would do anything to help get my sight back. I will never doubt you on that.'

'I am a relief to hear that. Then I want to make another promise to you, Asia,' Nawin announce, surprising the young girl. 'When your sight returns... Before I take you to heaven... I shall show you all of the pictures relate to my young self. All the picture books... You will be the first person to see all of them.' Asia's lip quiver slightly but she holds herself from crying. Not wanting to ruin the fun everyone is having. 'R-really?' 'To see you happy... I would do anything, Asia,' Nawin state, wearing a warm smile.

Asia takes in a deep breath and quietly exhales. She shifts to Nawin's direction and gives him the biggest and brightest smile possible. 'I can't wait, Onii-chan!' 'Ahahah, there's that smile,' 'Ehehehe. I love you, Onii-chan,' 'I love you too, Asia.'

The shift on the blonde's attitude is immediately apparent to Koneko. She turns toward Nawin to gives him a grateful smile. He responds with a simple wink and smile. "Awwwwwww!" 'Oh boy, what did she pick.' Nawin turns to look at the phone, and his mouth goes agape while his eyes widen in horrid.

The picture reveals a Seven-Year-Old Nawin desperately following Miraya, who was just laughing in amusement. He, on the other hand, was openly weeping from the three large white rabbits chasing after him behind.

"Ahahahaha!" Issei burst out in a fit of laughter along with many others at the table. "Why the hell were you crying?!" Riser asks through his laughter "From bunnies no less!" Instead of answering, Nawin simply shifts to Miraya and glares. "I hate you..." "Ehehe," the Culdos merely giggles before sending him a loving wink.

"Does this have something to do with your fear for white rabbits, Nawin-kun?" Akeno asks in amazement, believing she may have finally found a reason to this amusing fact about her lover. "Wait... That's actually true?" Yuuto asks, blinking in astonishment. Ever since they learned about this little fact regarding their friend from Akeno. Most of them took it as a joke. It's hard to believe that a person like Nawin, who isn't afraid to stand in front of individuals that possess the powers to match with gods and cuss in their faces. To imagine him being fearful of an adorable rabbit is absolutely absurd.

"Please tell us what happened in this photo!" Senna asks, clasping her hands together, going full dramatic. "This is gold," Elise comment, giggling out loud. Everyone's eyes at the table are set on the Makasha. Except for his family. Yao, Jonathan, Lucy, and Asia are just grinning at the background. Unlike the others, Asia already knew of this thanks to her sister.

Miraya sees Nawin isn't budging and merely revert to crossing his arms and shutting his eyes. "Well," she giggles, setting the phone down "Guess I will be the one to tell you all." "This picture here was taken at a zoo. We came across the bunny zone which showcase all kind of different species of rabbits. From babies to fully grown adult. Of course," Miraya grins "Nawin adoring cute things, quickly rush in a special playground for kids to interact with the grown and young bunnies. I was there with him and was having a fun time playing with the cute fluffballs. Everything was fine until out of nowhere I heard a scream and turned to see Nawin being cornered by two fully grown white bunnies. He was tearing up then screamed 'Demonic red eyes!' Before rushing towards me for help. Yao and Jonathan were laughing along with the other adults. Of course, the sight was just so funny that I couldn't help but laugh and ran away, which caused Nawin to cry even more and chased after me while the bunnies continued to follow him."

"Ahahahaha!" Everyone at the table laughs and chuckle at the story while Nawin's face turns to a shade of light pink. Even Koneko and Akame can't help but giggle, no doubt by the image formed in their mind from the story.

"The strong and confident Nawin Makasha afraid of bunnies," Riser state, grinning "This is just too rich." "Aww, I find it cute!" Misako comments, gushing at the photo still. Even though he was crying, Nawin again looked adorable. "Ufufufu, are you honestly still afraid of them, Nawin-kun?" Akeno asks "Not really... But," Nawin sighs and opens his eyes "They still do unsettle me. Those ones with white fur and red eyes just creep me out for an unknown reason."

"Well, if you ever need help with any bunnies, Nawin-kun" Rias speaks and gives a wink "Just call me, and I shall assist you on the matter." "Yeah," Issei joins in, grinning "I'm also available at any time. If there are like two bunnies around, then oh my goodness! They could destroy you, bro!" Nawin's eyebrow violently twitches as he gives the chuckling couple a heating gaze.

"Seriously," Senna turns to Miraya and gives a bright grin "Thanks for showing those to us," "It's nice to finally see what Nawin-kun used to look like," Misako giggles "He was such a cutie." "One of my quests is finally completed thanks to you," Rias gives a thumb up "Thanks, Miraya" "Ehehe, it was not a problem at all, everyone. I'm glad you all enjoyed it so much."

Watching the scene silently, Nawin can't help but smile. He is so glad to see how well Miraya is bonding with the group. Everyone at the table has taken a quick liking to her. Even someone like Riser can't help but be nice to her. She just has that special air around her. You want to get to know her better and want to be her friend. 'Still the same after all these years. Through even the hardships you endured... You can still smile brilliantly and possess that gracious heart. You really are one of a kind... Miraya.'

"There you are," Irina gently shuts the front door of the house, looking at Nawin seated on one of the swings. "Taking in some fresh air?" she asks, taking a seat beside the Makasha. Kicking her feet to the ground gently, Irina rocks back and forward ever slightly on the swing.

Nawin carries a warm smile, happy to have the Shidou's company. "Lucy kind of kicked me out of the house since some still haven't entirely wrapped their presents yet... Or Issei did such a terrible job with some of them that they had to be re-wrapped again." "Eheheh," Irina giggles "Sounds like him. He was frantic considering we had such a short time," "Yeah, it's an understandable mistake."

A soft night breeze flows pass the two friends as they stare up at the starry night sky. "I didn't get to say this earlier," Nawin speaks "But, thanks for coming, Irina. I know you have a busy schedule with training and taking missions." "Come now," Irina beams "I wouldn't miss your birthday for the world. Today is supposed to be one of your happiest days. I want to be there to see you having fun and hopefully... Help you be happy," "Trust me," Nawin shift to her, his smile remains "Having you here makes me very happy. It wouldn't be right without you present."

A faint blush radiates the Angel's cheeks as her smile changes to more sincere and warm. "You know," Irina shifts back to the skies "I really am grateful that Miraya-san has returned to your life, Nawin-kun. It is a miracle. I can see the effect she has on you immediately. You look... Much happier now and content with life. You are smiling much more now." All Nawin hears in those words are sincerity and happiness. Irina meant what she said. "I'm glad you feel that way, Irina. It means a lot to me that you see Miraya in such a light" "Really?" "Of course, because," Nawin looks at her in the eyes "You are a dear person to me. Like Miraya. I want you two to get along."

'You know, Irina-san... You and Nawin would make a lovely couple." The Shidou's cheeks shift to red when remembering the Culdos's comment from earlier today. "... Nawin-kun," "Yes?" "What... What do you like about me? Why is that you treat me different than the other girls?" "Uh," Nawin blinks and shift his gaze to the girl. "You are always so kind to me. Irina's looks at Nawin's eyes shock. Her lip starts quivering then she turns to the other side to hide her glossy eyes that ready to release the tears. "I-I wished... I wished we met earlier, Nawin-kun." Nawin reaches his right arm out to gently grasp the Shidou's hand. He smiles softly "I wished so too, Irina. Having you with me would have made my once bleak life brightened considerably."

Nawin feels Irina holding his hands tightly before she turns back to face him. A beautiful smile worn on her faces and her eyes show much care and warmth in them. "Thank you for saying all of that, Nawin-kun... It really means a lot to me," "I'm just stating the truth, Irina."

A comfortable silence falls on the pair. Nawin and Irina stare at each other with nothing but smiles, their hands still firmly holding each other. "You know," Irina gives a grin "My birthday is on September 29th... Three days from now?" "Wow," Nawin chuckle "So we are both born at September," "Ahaha, yep."

"But," Irina shift up to stare at the sky "I can't have a celebration like this since I'll be going off to a critical mission tomorrow." "What kind?" Nawin asks as concern raises in his voice "Nothing too dangerous," Irina quickly inserts, looking at him and gives a reassure smile "Hunting down a criminal that has fallen from grace. That's my specialty, hunting down or capturing evildoers."

"Remember if you ever n-" "Need help you'll be there in a flash, I know," Irina finish with a grin, then brings her right hand up to show the black ring worn on the index finger. Nawin looks surprised before chuckling "Good."

"Well, Irina" Nawin starts, looking at her "If you can't celebrate your birthday then I will do something special when we meet again." Irina tilts her head as a smile of fondness form on her face. "That so?" "Nothing grand... It will just be the two of us," "I am fine with that."

"Good," Nawin stands up and pulls Irina up to her feet. "Then when you can, come to visit us soon" "Of course," Irina replies with a bright grin, giving a soft squeeze to the Makasha's hand. Out of nowhere, the Shidou leans forward to plant a kiss on Nawin's cheek. She pulls back as her cheeks light up in a shade of pink, then a grin form on her face "I can't wait for it, Nawin-kun." The look of surprise is quickly replaced with a warm smile on the face of the Makasha.

Elsewhere

"There we go," Miraya claps her hands together as she looks at the pinata hanging in front of her. Akame is seated on a tree branch, done tying the string on it. "After Nawin is done opening his presents... He will finish the night off with hitting the pinata," Miraya state with a soft smile "He always wanted to hit one when we were young, but we never got around to doing it."

Akame wordlessly hops off the branch and lands to the grass ground, beside the Culdos. "You know Nawin-kun very well," Akame speaks for the first time since the two head out to the backyard. Miraya blinks before nodding "Well," she giggles "He and I are childhood friends, so it only makes sense."

Seeing Akame isn't speaking, Miraya gives a warm smile. "I wanted to say this earlier today, but couldn't, considering all of us were busy." Akame is taken off-guard when the Culdos suddenly bows to her. Miraya leans back straight. "Thank you," she speaks "For being such a good friend for Nawin. He has told me a bit about you, and he seems to trust you whole-heartedly. That is a rare token from him. People can't gain his complete trust so easily."

Akame looks flush for a moment. Not really used to this much compliment. "Please," she speaks "You don't have to thank me." "Oh?" Miraya blinks before giggling "I expected a bit of a cold reply considering how quiet you've been with me. We barely exchanged any words while at the mall" "... Sorry," "No, no, it's fine."

"The truth is," Akame speaks, her normally sharp eyes soften ever slightly "I should be thanking you, Miraya-san. Thank you for making Nawin-kun happy. I have never seen him smile or openly expressed his emotions this much before. It's... It is a joy for me to see that." "You truly care for him, don't you?" Miraya speaks, wearing a warm and sincere smile "All you want is for him to be happy?" "Yes," "Ehehe, you sound just like me. Perhaps that why I wanted to get to know you more than the others. When we were playing Senna-san's game. I saw how you were so concentrated on every answer that was given. You truly have given much care to your answers and wanted them all right. And, when that last question hits you... Instead of answering, you just left it blank... Because you didn't want to get it incorrect, right? You rather left it blank then get it wrong."

Akame remains silent and merely shift her gaze to the house. "That action alone spoke volumes to me. I mean," Miraya gives a faint smile at this, many emotions can be shown on that smile alone "You were able to score better than even Akeno-san." Hearing the Himejima's name, the Knight's eyes sharpen ever slightly. A change that did not go over the Culdos's head.

"You..." Miraya stops herself "No," she is surprised when Akame speaks "I don't like Akeno Himejima. If you were observing me during the game, then I figured you hold that thought in you ever since." Akame shifts back to the Culdos, her eyes revert to stoic. "Why?" is all Miraya could say "Because I believe one day, she will hurt Nawin-kun. Not physically but mentally. She doesn't realize that some of her actions in the past are wrong. Instead of helping him... She makes things difficult for him, but... Nawin-kun puts up with it because he does love her."

Akame gaze returns to the house. "You believe what I am saying is an act of jealousy?" she questions to the Culdos "No... Far from it." Miraya's eyes soften "You just don't want to see Nawin hurt," "..." "You have a fierce loyalty to him, Akame. This is honestly a surprise to me" Miraya admits.

"Do... Do you believe you are a better fit for Nawin? Better than Akeno?" Miraya asks, wanting to get to know more of the secretive Knight. "No," Akame answers as the cold night breeze blows pass them. "I am not fit to be in that kind of relationship with Nawin-kun. People like Irina-san and you, Miraya-san would be the best fit for him. People that look toward the bright future instead of being stuck in the past and drags Nawin with them."

Akame turns around to look at the stunned Miraya in the eyes. "Even though Nawin-kun has given me a bright future by befriending me. I still can't get rid of the past I still clutch deep down within my heart. But the difference between Akeno and me is that I am not in that kind of relationship with him... I am not selfish in that way. Even though I still have a painful past in me... I still want nothing more but for Nawin-kun to look toward the bright future and be happy."

"Akame-san... I am in a bit of a loss of word here. Do you want them to breakup or something?" Miraya asks "...It is not my place to insert myself in their relationship," Akame replies. '... You don't want to get involved because you are afraid it could put your relationship with Nawin in jeopardy,' Miraya notes in her mind, seeing the mix emotions in Akame's red eyes.

"I see. Why are you telling me this, Akame-san?" Miraya questions "This is clearly a secretive opinion from you." "Because I trust that if something ever happens to Nawin-kun... If he gets hurt... You will be the only one that will be able to drag him back to happiness." "Akame-san... Is there a chance you are being a bit too... Dramatic?" Akame closes her eyes for a moment before opening her mouth "I hope I am."

Akame starts making her way back to the house. "Akeno loves Nawin-kun... I can see that. But she is blind to her ways at times... And that's what frustrates me about her" she gives her final words before opening the backdoor. Miraya wears a soft smile as she stops at the side, then places a comforting hand on the red-eyed girl's shoulder. "Have faith, Akame. I can see the two love each other deeply. If their love is strong, then I'm sure things will be fine" "... I'm honestly surprised you aren't harboring any resentment toward the relationship" Akame admits.

Miraya giggles while pulling her arm back. She gives a warm smile "Just like you. If Nawin is happy then so am I. It is as simple as that. I can never be selfish when it involves him." A genuine smile forms on the Knight's face. "I see. Shall we head back inside?" "Let's."

Time Skip

"Don't you dare sing..." Nawin utters, seated right at the center of the pile of presents surrounding him from all direction. His stern eyes set at Miraya, Rias, and Lucy who is stood by the doorway. "Oh come on," Issei inserts, looking at his friend "Why not?" "Because..." "Because he is embarrassed," Miraya adds in, giving a knowing look. "Then we shall continue!" Rias says "A One, a two," Lucy starts "Happy Birthday to you!" Everyone sings along and start clapping their hands as the three girls make way to Nawin while holding the giant cake.

"Happy Birthday dear Nawin! Happy Birthday to you!" "Now make a wish!" Lucy exclaims with a bright grin. The cake held right in front of her brother's face. Nawin looks at all the individuals in this room and sees them smiling at him with joy. He turns to the right where Akeno is seated next to him. She gives him a loving smile then offers his hand a supporting squeeze. With a warm smile on his face, Nawin shifts to the birthday cake and close his eyes to make his wish. And for the first time in five years, Nawin blows the candles out on a birthday cake.

"Yeah!" Misako cheers, clapping loudly with the rests in the room applauding too. Then, suddenly everyone sees one of the candles comes to life. It's fire still alive. "Got one more there, bud" Issei points. "No, it's not mine then" Nawin replies, and shift to Miraya "Clearly this for you to also make a wish, Miraya" he states with a warm smile. Everyone just smiles while the Culdos looks at Nawin in surprise. Then, a soft smile makes way to her face "Alright."

Leaving the cake to Lucy and Rias, Miraya sets her arms down on the sides while closing her eyes. Nawin's smile widens ever slightly when he sees an image of a young Miraya appears over the current one for just a moment. With her wish responded, Miraya opens her mouth and blows the last candle away.

Everyone gives another applaud while Nawin and Miraya share a warm smile. "Alright, this is already cut so get your plates over!" Rias informs as she and Lucy gently set the cake on a table next to all the presents. "Get the birthday boy his big piece," Akeno request, taking Nawin's plate and pass it to Rias "Ehehe, of course!"

With the knife, Rias skillfully brings the delicious chocolate over to the plate and sets it in one piece. Akeno takes the plate and gives sit to Nawin. "Thank you, love." Nawin looks at the cake and sees it is an ice cream cake. He blinks and looks up "Who chose the cake?" "That would be Miraya," Lucy answers, "So that's why it's an ice cream cake," "Is it not to your liking?" Akeno asks, getting worried. "No, no," Nawin chuckles "I love ice cream cake. Prefer it over traditional cake."

"That's a relief," Miraya sighs, "Thought you'd outgrown them." "If the day ever comes when I stop liking ice cream cake or ice cream in general then it is the day I die" Nawin comments, which earn chuckles from the people around him.

When everyone has their own slice of cake, they all dig into it. "Mhm! Well picked, Miraya" Gabriel praise, going for another bite immediately "This is simply delicious." "First time I ever had an ice cream cake, truthfully" Sirzech state, chewing the dessert "And?" Rias asks in great curious to know her brother's opinion. Sirzech opens his eyes and grin "It is delicious! I already prefer this over a traditional cake!" "We agree on something for once," Nawin state with a smirk, which makes the Satan chuckle.

"How is it?" Miraya asks, taking a seat next to Akame while watching Nawin going for his third bite. "It's terrific," he states with a smile "One of the best cakes I had in a while" "Ehehe, I am glad to hear."

"Now!" Xenovia shouts, some cake still in her mouth "Time to open your presents, Nawin-senpai!" "Yeah, let's get the train of presents rolling!" Senna inserts. "Is this really all mine?" Nawin asks, staring at the piles of presents everywhere "Yes, honey" Yao answers with a loving smile "Everyone here bought all of those just for you" "I see," Nawin can't help but smile wider when knowing just how hard everyone worked to make this the best birthday possible for him.

Scanning at all the presents, Nawin decides to pick the bright blue with black strips wrapped first. "Who's t-" "MINE!" Senna exclaims, raising her free hand up in the air with a big grin plastered on her face. Some chuckles at the girl's enthusiasm. Nawin merely shakes his head in amusement then starts to tear off the wrapping.

Nawin blinks when seeing it is a small hand-sized polished wooden box. He presumes the gift is inside it. But there is no engraving on the box to signify some kind of brand name or anything. Opening the box, laid inside is a black and dark blue nylon bracelet. "This..." "Ehehehe," Senna giggles as a faint blush form on her cheeks "I actually made that a few weeks back but didn't found the right time to give it to you until now" she states, watching Nawin takes the bracelet out of the box to examine it. The black and blue cords are beautifully wrapped around together to form two different colored patterns in the bracelet.

"It's a friendship bracelet! See!" Nawin looks at Senna and sees the identical bracelet worn on her right wrist. "I thought," Senna gives a warmer smile than her usually bright and energetic one "It would be a good idea of a fist consider... Well, you were my first friend I made when we moved, Nawin-kun."

"Senna..." Nawin whispers, wearing a soft smile "Thank you... This is a really thoughtful gift." The Hinamori grin as Nawin puts on the bracelet. "Looks great on you," Akeno comment brightly. "It is really a wonderful gift, Senna-san" Miraya insert "You handmade it, so it holds an exceptional sentimental value." "Ehehe, thanks" Senna giggles as her blush intensifies at all the praise.

"You are going to make all our presents look crap now," Xenovia comment with a teasing smirk "Too bad," Senna replies with a coy wink. "I don't expect all of your gift to be handmade," Nawin state, setting the wooden box on his left "It's the thought that counts. Your gifts don't have to be anything grand." "Mature words there..." Miraya state with a highly amused tone, looking at Nawin with knowing eyes. "Why are you giving Nii-chan that look?" Koneko question "Oh because your dear Nii-chan were used to be a spoiled boy... Once I simply got him a video game on his eighth birthday, and he was pouting for the entire day, expecting more."

Everyone shifts sight to Nawin, who looks flustered for a moment before recomposing. "I was Eight! What do you expect?" "I am just stating a fact, darling" Miraya replies and gives a wink "Though I don't regret that purchased because you were so adorable just pouting for the rest of the evening" "Ahahah, that is true" Lucy joins in, beaming at the memory.

Akame notices that the moment Miraya called Nawin 'darling' that Akeno eyes show disapproval. She can't resist but quietly roll her eyes at this. "Hearing these stories about my dear godson younger days makes me wish we were able to turn him young again," Azazel inserts, wearing a smirk, "I say it would be an improvement!" "Oh silence, you!" Gabriel whacks the Fallen Angel's head while sending him a disapproval look "My sweet godchild is fine as he is" "... Argh! You didn't have to hit that hard!" "Oh... Apologies, I don't know my strength at times."

"If only there were a time machine," Rias comment, sighing "What would you do if you met young Nawin-kun, Buchou?" Yuuto asks in pure curiosity. "I would take him and make him my official younger brother. Ehehehe!" Everyone sweatdrop as they watch Rias giggling like a mischievous devil. "You frighten me sometimes," Nawin informs, shaking his head "She can be pretty scary," Issei agrees.

Deciding to move on to the next present, Nawin picks the one that has caught his eyes a few times. He takes hold of a medium size box shape present in his hand. It is wrapped in a black and red strip paper. Some giggles quietly when noticing Akame staring at Nawin with much anticipation "Jiiiiii."

Done tearing the wrapper, Nawin is greeted with a small cardboard box. He opens it and sees a polish wooden A4 size frame inside. Nawin brings it to his face, and his eyes widen at the picture displayed behind the glass. "What is it?" Senna asks with great curios, leaning in. "Akame... You drew this?" Nawin asks, turning to his Knight. She gives a faint smile and nod "Yes," "... Wow, I never knew you were talented in art."

The drawing behind the glass shows Akame and Nawin. Both are in their favorite Korean barbeque restaurant, and the picture shows them just munching down on the food while having a heavenly expression on their faces. "Show us, Senpai," Xenovia urge, greatly curious on her Fellow Knight's work.

Nawin turns the picture frame around to show the drawing. "Whaoooo!" many utters in astonishment at the realistic art. "H-How did you have time to draw that, Akame-san?" Irina asks "Well..." Akame blushes a bit "I actually drawn that early this month in my spare time. Drawing is a bit of a hobby of mine. That picture has set on my desk for a couple of weeks, and I was contemplating if I should give it to Nawin-kun for a while..."

"Why would you think of not giving it to him, Akame?" Rias asks in surprise "Ehehehe, Akame-chan is a bit shy when it comes to showing her art skills!" Misako inserts "You know about her talent?" Xenovia question "Yeah, but by accident. Last month I was visiting her place, and the door was opened, so I walked into her drawing session! Akame-chan was so shy when I found out about her talent" Misako state, snickering at the memory, while the others look on in amusement.

"Does that drawing depict a scenario that happened?" Miraya question "Yes," Akame answers "Judging by the clothes I wore. This was when they gave us a special promotion that allows us to eat the best selection with half a price" Nawin state before chuckling "I was eating so much of salmon and the expensive slices of beef and pork that I almost collapsed." "Seriously?" Issei asks then laughs "Ahaha, though it makes sense. Barbeque can be a heavy meal if you eat those specific meats."

"How did Akame fair?" Miraya asks "Took it like a champ," Nawin state, smirking at his Knight "She ate so much that I had to ask for the bill before she emptied the entire restaurant" "Bahahaha!" some burst out laughing at the answer. Akame is blushing but still wears a smile at the fond memory.

"Thank you, Akame," Nawin says with a warm smile "This picture display one of the many fond memories I share with you. It's a lovely gift." "I'm glad you like it, Nawin-kun" Akame replies with a beautiful smile that took some people off-guard, rarely ever seeing the Knight smile. "Whoa," Issei whisper under his breath, never knew that Akame could be so adorable.

Akame's eyes quickly turn cold, and she sends a glare to Issei and the rest which cause all of them to squeak in fear. Nawin merely chuckles at his Knight's act before he gently places the photo on a free space at his left.

"More cake!" Asia exclaims, holding her empty plate forward. "Ehehehe, of course," Rias takes the plate and fill it with another slice for the blonde. "How can a small girl eat so much?" Miraya asks in astonish. "You'd be surprised," Lucy state with a grin "Asia can finish an extra-large pizza all by herself," "Eheheh, she has an appetite just like Nawin when he was young," Miraya state "Ahahaha, that is true" Lucy laughs, agreeing with the remark.

"It is kind of funny," Jonathan speaks up for once, gaining everyone's attention. Usually, he preferred just to relax and watch his kids have fun. "Even though Asia is our adopted daughter. She holds some of the Makasha's traits. Bottomless appetite, courage, and a golden heart." "Waahh! Papa, you are making me blush!" Asia whines, her face turning to a shade of tomato red. Everyone around her chuckles. "You speak the truth, Dad" Nawin state, which makes a big smile appear on Asia's face.

The next present Nawin pick is wrapped in a brown paper with purple spirals swirling to the corners. A unique design compared to some of the others. Irina perks up, seeing that it is her present. With the wrapper rid of, Nawin is surprised to see on his hands is a beautiful music box. Miraya's smile widens every slightly when seeing the gift 'Good choice, Irina...'

Wordlessly, Nawin opens the box, and the music begins to play. The cylinder moves and the set pins start hitting the notes. Everyone listens to the soothing and lovely melody playing. The music is light-hearted and, in a way, uplifting. A type that if a person had a bad day, they would feel better listing to such a soothing melody. Nawin's eyes soften as his smile widen every slightly, taking in the music.

Nawin gently shuts the box when it finishes and looks up to the crowd. "Who's this?" he simply asks, which gets Irina nervous, but she raises her arm anyways "M-me." "Irina... Thank you," Nawin says "Huh?!" "I used to have one of these," he states, indicating to the music box "And I love them. They always bring me ease."

"It's a really great gift, Irina" Yao speaks up, smiling warmly "Gabriel actually got Nawin one when he was just a baby. We would play it every night put him to sleep." "And it seems my sweet Nawin still loves them," Gabriel comment with a bright grin before turning to her student "Well done, Irina! A magnificent gift!" she gives a motherly pet to the Shidou's head.

Irina happily smiles when knowing just how much her gift means to Nawin. "I'm so glad you like it, Nawin-kun! I was looking all over the place to find you a nice gift" she sheepishly admits. "Well," Nawin tilts his head, his smile widens "You did a wonderful job. I will be placing this by my bedside starting today and listen to the melody whenever I feel down."

Irina's smile brightens considerable "Sounds great!" she says. Xenovia silently chuckle at her friend's attitude. She is just on top of the world currently. Irina turns to Miraya, who glance at her and gives a wink, signaling that she did a great job.

Done placing the music box down, Nawin takes small present wrapped in green paper with crimson dots. "Tear that bloody wrapper up, Big bro!" Lucy cheers, getting giddy "You have really gotten a naughty mouth now, don't you?" Miraya points out, giving a disapproving look. Lucy responds with cutely sticking her tongue out. "Oh, you won't believe her latest incident," Rias comment, gaining everyone's attention. Lucy blinks before her eyes widen in realization. Nawin catch this instantly and gives a stern glare "What did you do?" "... Nothing..." "Rias," he shifts to the Gremory "Tell me, now" "Well... This was what Sona told me."

Flashback

"Urghhh! So much homework!" Lucy grunts in annoyance, striding down the steps at the front door of Kuoh Academy. "Ehehehe, come now," Reya walks beside her best friend, giggling at the blonde's behavior "It's not that bad. At least we didn't get math, your least favorite" "That is true," Lucy sighs, straightening her shoulders then looks toward the front gate of the school that they are heading for. "Anyway, if it were math then I would have Big bro helped me" "Is he good at math?" "Hates the subject but good at it, yes."

"Yo, wait up!" Genshirou rushes out of the building and catches up with the girls. "Why are you tagging?" Lucy asks "Geez, don't have to be so cold," "I'm not... Just asking out of curiosity," "Oh, well, I thought we could have a study session to finish our homework together. The three of us has all of them in the same subjects." "I don't' mind," Reya replies with a smile while Lucy shrugs "Sure, let's head to Reya place" "Ehh?! Why mine?" "Because you live alone," "Oh..."

As the trio makes the way out of the courtyard. Generally, there are some crowd gathering, considering the reputation that all the member in the Student Council held. And there's Lucy, who is undoubtedly one of the top five most attractive and popular girl in the school.

"Look at Lucy... Striding around like she thinks she is some kind of a big shot," "I know right. She only got this popular because she is the Dark Prince sister." Out of nowhere, some rude comments started appearing from the crowd. Even though they were all whispers, they still get caught by Devils with their heightened senses.

'Oh uh...' Reya glance at the crowd and see a group of girls giving the Makasha a nasty look. Knowing her friend is already in a foul mood. This is the worst time possible for the haters to start spurting out insults. Genshirou nervously looks at his friend, knowing how scary she can be can when pushed.

One of the girls opens her mouth again "Should just go crawl back to Thailand." Reya and Genshirou start sweating when Lucy suddenly comes to a halt then swiftly turn to the direction of the girl that thrown that comment, making way towards her. "You know what?!" Lucy snaps, glaring at the girl that freezes her in place while the crowd backs away in fear. "I'll go back to Thailand, and you go back to screwing your brother, you stupid bitch!"

Everyone that heard the comment is left gobsmacked and watch with wide-eyed at the blonde swiftly turn around and march out of the courtyard. The girl that offended the Makasha with the last insult is just frozen in place like a stone.

Reya and Genshirou snap out of their shock and quickly follows the Makasha out of the school. Lucy grunts and looks forward only to be stopped dead on her track. Her face shifts to pale every slightly. Standing just a few feet away from her is Sona Sitri, who is wearing the coldest and sternest expression possible. "K-Kaichou?!" Genshirou shouts in shock, noticing their King after catching up with the blonde.

"S-Sona," Lucy speaks with a nervous smile "W-what are you doing here?" "..." the Sitri remains silent and continues to give a piercing gaze with those violet orbs. "... Good talk!" Lucy grins and starts walking forward. As she passes Sona, the Makasha thought she'd be able to go free only to feel a hand snatch her left ear, pulling it. "Ow, ow, ow, oooowww!" Lucy screams in pain, feeling the hard pinch. "You and your foul mouth," "Y-you heard that?" "Course I did!" Sona retorts, glaring at the pouting blonde.

Sona turns to Reya and Genshirou. "I'll be taking her for some punishment. Instead of studying with those two, it will be with me." "Oh, come on!" Lucy whine, flailing her arms around "Studying with you is boring!" "Tough luck," Sona replies "This is bul- AHH!" Lucy gets stop by feeling the pinch tighten. Reya and Genshirou just watch the scene with immense entertainment. It's like a scene of an older sister teaching her little sister a lesson on respect.

Without another word, Sona turns around and drag Lucy with her by the ear "Come now, we have a lot of work to do" "Grghhh!" "Ehehe, bye, Lucy-chan!" Reya waves goodbye while wearing a bright smile. "I wish you luck!" Genshirou shouts out, waving too.

Present

"... Wow," Riser utters. Everyone excluding the Makasha Family all stares at Lucy with wide-eyed. Jonathan, Yao, Nawin, Akeno, and Asia gives Lucy a disapproving look. "Lucy!" Gabriel marches toward the blonde and grabs her by the shoulder "Don't ever use such language again! Understand, young lady!" "I was gonna do that, but it seems Gabriel-san got it covered," Miraya state.

Lucy starts sweating when seeing the Seraph's piercing eyes. This is the first time she has ever seen her loving godmother serious, and it is terrifying. "O-ok, I'll try" "You better!" Gabriel reply, her glare shift to a stern look "I don't want to hear another incident like that" "... Understood."

Releasing Lucy's shoulder, Gabriel stands back up then avert her attention to the parents. "Yao, Jonathan! How could you have Lucy learn such language?!" "No matter how many times I encourage her to refrain from using such language... She continues to say those bad words," Jonathan replies, scratching the back of his head with a helpless expression plastered on his face. Azazel merely chuckles "You can forget about ever stopping her. After all, she's taken after her mother."

"Yao!" Gabriel turns to the mother "Haven't you done something about it?" "Come now, Gabriel, she's just teaching some idiots a lesson. It's not like she carelessly cusses every day for the heck of it. Someone annoyed her, and they got what they deserved." Some chuckle when seeing the look of stupified on the Seraph's face.

"Even though I would prefer she'd not cuss so much... It's a useless battle to stop her, Grandma" Nawin speaks "It's just in her personality." Gabriel sighs and nod in defeat. "I will try to cut it down, Godmother," Lucy says, watching the older woman returning to her seat "Alright, as long as I have your word on it."

With that matter settled. Nawin goes on to tear away the wrapper on the present that's in his hands. "This..." Nawin blinks in surprise, seeing that it is another photo. With a glistering and beautifully designed gold frame around it. "That... Looks expensive," Senna state, chewing on a cherry. Nawin simply nods then turns the frame upwards to take a look at the picture behind the glass.

A warm and nostalgic smile form on Nawin's face at what he is seeing. Inside the frame is a photo that was taken after his quest to find the lightning gemstone. The photo was taken by Gado using Rias's camera that Issei held in his pocket dimension.

In the photo. Nawin, Issei, Erza, and Jellal all stood in front of Gado's house, smiling with success. The lovable Bork was behind them with a big grin plastered on his face while his right arm is stretch forward to motion a fistbump. The same action that Issei made in the photo. Issei's other arm is wrapped around Nawin's shoulder, who merely crossed his arms and gave a warm smile. Erza stood next to the Makasha and wore a smirk while her hands rested on her waist. Jellal stood beside his partner and gave a smirk as well along with a peace sign.

Issei grins when seeing that smile on his friend's face. "I'm guessing this is from you, Issei?" Nawin asks, looking up at the Hyoudou "Hehe, yep! You like it?" "I really do. That was a fun journey... Really, this is a great present" "Glad you like it, bro. But, that present is not mine alone." Issei pulls Rias close "That frame there is brought by Rias! I asked her to go find the best looking frame possible for it" "... Typical of you to go all out, aye?" Nawin state, indicating to the frame made of real gold. "At least it looks good, right?" Rias replies with a grin "Yes," Nawin smiles "It does look good so thank you, Rias" "Eheheh, no problem, Nawin-kun."

"Are you going to show us the photo?" Momo questions "... Nope," Nawin replies "What?!" Senna leans forward and glares "Why not?!" "Because I rathered not." With Senna, Momo, and Miraya present, Nawin can't tell the true story about the photo in his hands. It would be easy to make up a story that Bork is just some mascot in the picture, but Nawin rathered not go through the length of telling a whole made-up tale to everyone. Also, with Miraya present, Nawin will be essentially lying to her if he went on with that action, which is something the both of them promised never to do to one another. They never once laid to each other, and he wasn't about to start now with something as trivial as this.

"Now, now," Akeno speaks up "If Nawin-kun doesn't want to show it then it is his wish." Considering she is sat next to Nawin, Akeno can see the content in the picture. With Bork in the photo, it would definitely raise some questions. She knows the story of this already as Nawin told her after her birthday. Senna pouts then leans back "Fine," "I'll show you all one day," Nawin says with a smile, before setting the frame facefirst down on the carpet to conceal the image.

Lots of the devils in the room stayed quiet. Already having a clue that the photo has to be a supernatural world related to caused Nawin not to show it to everyone.

"So..." Xenovia speaks up to move on to the next topic, her sight shift to the Gremory "How much was that frame?" "It wa-" "Don't say it," Nawin cuts in, shaking his head and gives a stern look "Because the moment I know how much it caused it'll only make me feel guilty" "Awww, you are too sweet, Nawin-kun" Rias squeal then leans in to pinch the Makasha's cheek. Miraya watches the scene unfold with an eyebrow raise, her eyes gleam in amusement at the weird relationship shared between her friend and Rias Gremory.

The night continues, Nawin opened the rest of the presents. Lots of gifts are normal and some adorable. Like Asia's which is a keychain with a custom made design of a Chibi version of herself getting a piggyback ride from a Chibi-Nawin. The gift got lots of funny reaction from the crowd. Koneko also got Nawin something custom made. Which is a black t-shirt with an image of herself seated on his lap, eating some cookies with a heavenly expression plastered on her face while Nawin was petting her head. Nawin did question how the two girls were able to get these present done in such a short amount of time. Asia already had the keychain made in advance since she knew when his birthday was. Koneko already had that very image drawn and simply asked the people to print it into a shirt out for her.

For the rest of the presents. Gasper gifted a jar of cookies that contained all the favorite flavor of the Makasha. Yuuto bought some new shoes since Nawin only had two of the same pair. Xenovia got him a nice looking training glove. Both Kokoro and Elise gifted the Makasha a ton of expensive looking clothes. Momo got Nawin some of his favorite movies in blu-ray. Wendy bought an adorable tiger plush, tigers being Nawin's favorite animal. Misako gifted another cute gift which is a pikachu pajamas that looks exactly like hers. Some chuckled when seeing the dreaded look behind Nawin's eyes, but he puts on a bright smile for the Ichiru's sake. Ravel got the Makasha a beautiful and expensive reading glass since he loves to read to pass the time. Riser also did not go cheap and got his friend a brand new phone. Lastly, Lucy got her brother a photobook so he can start collecting all of the pictures they have taken since moving here to Kuoh.

For gifts coming from the adults. Sirzech and Grayfia both got Nawin a unique book that contains beautiful artworks of all the famous locations in the Underworld. Yao got her son an excellent noise-canceling headphone since he loves to listen to songs while reading. Jonathan gift his son an expensive pocket watch. Gabriel's present is a special photo of her holding a baby Nawin, the very first photo of them together. Of course, every girl gushed when they saw baby Nawin. And Azazel gifted a new battle jacket that looks just like the Makasha's current one, but it has been upgraded protection wise with stronger counterseals for offensive attacks and spells along with other bonuses that Nawin will have to figure it out himself.

"Damn..." Nawin sighs and looks on his right that shows all the presents he has received so far. "This is getting a bit exhausting here," "Ahahah!" Issei laughs "You should be on top of the world, bro! Most kids would kill for that many presents" "True."

"Alright," Nawin turns his attention to the last presents left in front of him. "So there's two remaining," Rias points out, smiling "One from Akeno and the other is Miraya-san's!" "You purposely made it this way, didn't you?" Riser says "Nope," Nawin shakes his head "It just came to be like this" "Hmm."

Nawin decides to grab the present covered in a simple black paper. With the wrapper tore off, what's left is a small glossy black box. Nawin raises an eyebrow before using his other hand to pull the uppercase open. And inside, laid on top of a clean white cloth is a sparkling gold signet ring with the words 'A&N' inscribed on top. "Akeno..." Nawin whispers in shock, not expecting such a gift.

"I thought it would be appropriate," Akeno speaks, wearing a loving smile "Your first ever gift to me was this bracelet... Then at my birthday, it was this necklace that you worked so hard to get. I thought to get you a ring with a special custom engraving that will display our love would be the best way to go. You know," Akeno's face shift to a shade of pink as her smile grows, "They say gold is eternal... And I hope our love will be eternal as well, Nawin-kun."

Many smiles from the Himejima's words. Finding it sweet and heartwarming. Nawin looks at Akeno in the eyes with love. His smile grows considerable by the sincere words he heard. "Akeno," Nawin speaks and pulls Akeno close by the hand to give her a soft kiss on the forehead. Leaning back, Nawin looks at her "Thank you for this lovely gift. ANd I hope too our love will continue to last forever."

Unable to contain her happiness, Akeno leans in and gives a kiss to the Makasha's lip, who is surprised by the sudden motion, but whole-heartedly returns it. Miraya takes a glance to the back and sees Irina's gaze shifting to the other direction. She also notices Misako's smile strained ever slightly. 'Poor girls,' Miraya shift to Akame, who has her eyes closed.

Pulling away from each other. The couple smiles lovingly at each other. "H-here, I'll put it on for you" Akeno speaks, a bit embarrassed that she displays such action in front of a live crowd. Usually, she is never easily flustered, but when it comes to Nawin, she has always shown more of this emotional side.

Removing the ring out of the box, Akeno takes hold of Nawin's left hand since the right hand already wore the black ring. Gently, Akeno slides the jewelry into the index finger until it is all the way in. She smiles with joy when she sees it fits perfectly on her lover's hand. "Looks good," Nawin voice his agreement. "Yeah!" Akeno looks up at him with a grin "It looks lovely on you, Nawin-kun."

"Woooh!" Senna cheers, clapping her hands "What a lovely scene! It's almost like straight out of the movies!" "Aww," Gabriel sighs passionately "Young love, they are always so heartwarming to watch." Azazel rolls his eyes at his longtime friend comment, though he too can't help but smile by the couple's show of love.

Nawin merely chuckles by all the smiles and comment thrown toward him and Akeno. "Alright, let's finish it off with Miraya's present," he speaks, shifting to the last gift laid in front of him, "It's starting to get late now." "Open it up!" Issei encourage "Best for last?" Akame comments with a raised eyebrow. Akeno sends a displease glance toward the Knight, which did not go over Akame's head, but she ignores it.

Done tearing through the blue and red paper, Nawin is greeted to a medium-size black cloth bag. Pulling the drawstring loose, the Makasha takes out whatever it is inside, and it reveals to be a wristwatch. Nawin's eyes snap wide along with Yao, Jonathan, and Lucy when they take notice of what kind of watch it is.

"M-Miraya," Nawin stutters out, which quickly gains lots of curious from the crowd. All of them take a look of the stunning watch. Miraya merely tilt her head and smile "You wanted that watch ever since you first laid eyes on it, no? I promised I would buy you one when you grew up to an age you are capable of wearing it." "B-but," Nawin looks back at the watch "T-this cost a fortune! H-how in the world were you able to buy this?" Miraya merely brings her index finger to her lip and winks "A secret."

"Why is this a big deal?" Riser asks, not getting all of this shock "That watch is something Big bro always wanted when he was young. He has a love for wristwatches. After Miraya promised she would get him that specific model one day, he has only worn one watch that's on his wrist right now that act as a substitute which was also bought by Miraya. A simple Casio G-shock watches," "Ok... So what's so shocking about this specific new watch?"

"That watch in Nawin's hand is Patek Philippe made," Jonathan state, eyeing the thing with fascination "And since lots of you aren't versed in this kind of subject. That watch right there, the Nautilus Moonphase cost Forty Thousand dollars... In other words, 4.5 Million Yen." "... EYYYY?!" Almost everyone in the room shriek in absolute shock.

"H-how can a watch be so expensive?!" Issei exclaims out. "Ehehe," Miraya scoot closer to Nawin to take the watch off his hand, "Because this watch is made to last forever. That's what Nawin wanted. He wanted a gift from me that could last for a long, long time and would remind him of me. So, this watch became that purpose."

Nawin watches in silence as Miraya moves to his right wrist to remove the Casio watch. "It's time to move on from the past," she whispers in a soothing voice, placing the old watch on the carpet then grabs the Patek Philippe "And stride onwards to the future, darling." Nawin stares at Miraya with many raw emotions shown in his eyes, but there is a specific one evident, love. A soft and warm smile built on his lip as he watches her gently push the clasp to secure it in place. The watch fits around his wrist perfectly.

Holding both of Miraya's hand on his, Nawin looks at her in the eyes. "Thank you, Miraya... For all of this, for being back, and for remembering" "You don't need to thank me, Nawin... I am glad to be back with you again and see you this happy." While many stares at the scene with a warm smile. Few doesn't share that sentiment. Yao and Jonathan observe the pair with sad eyes, their smile may be present, but it is strained. Akeno's smile is devoid of any emotion.

Time Skip

With the celebration ending at near midnight. Nawin decides it is time to end the event. Even though many in the group informed that they were fine to continue a bit more, Nawin felt guilty for keeping them up for so long and decided it is best to end with the presents. So, with thanking everyone once last time for all their hard work to make today possible, Nawin wished all of them goodnight with a bright smile on his face. That smile alone made everyone felt overjoyed, showing that all of their hard worked and the headaches they were dealt with paid off when seeing their usually stoic friend be this happy.

With most already gone. Azazel, Gabriel, Irina, Miraya, and Akame are the last left. "Azazel! Instead of just relaxing on the couch come and help Yao and me with the dishes!" "I rather not... I decided to sleep over here, so I'm just gonna go pass out now" "Lazy as always!" "Ahaha, you should know by now that is never going to change, Gabriel."

"Those two's interaction is sure entertaining to listen," Nawin state "Ehehehe, I agree. Gabriel-sama doesn't usually get this flustered when in heaven" Irina state, giggling. Currently, the pair stood in front of the house. Nawin wanted to see off the Shidou.

Irina shifts to the Makasha and smile. "A bit of Deja Vu, no?" she comments, remembering the two of them stood right in this spot when Nawin was seeing her off after the end of Akeno's birthday celebration. "This has become our little spot," Nawin state with a warm smile "Ehehe, our goodbye spot," Irina adds.

"Be careful with your next assignment, alright?" Nawin comments "I know, I know," Irina gives a soft smile and brings her right hand down on the Makasha's shoulder "Don't worry so much about me. I have grown quite strong since the tournament" "I know you are strong, Irina. You never gave up... Even when you faced a strong opponent in the past, you would somehow find a way to outwit them. I admire that about you."

Irina blushes a bit by the praise before wearing a bright grin "Thank you, Nawin-kun." "Ok!" Gabriel burst out of the front door with a beautiful smile "Most of the chores are done! Irina, dear, it is time for us to depart." Releasing the Makasha's shoulder, Irina provides a nod "Of course, Gabriel-sama."

Gabriel stops in front of her godson and gives him a big kiss on the cheek. "Once again, Happy birthday, Nawin," she says with a loving smile, stroking the cheeks of her godson. "Thank you, Aunt Gabriel. It's always a blast to have you here" "Ehehe, I promise I'll come to visit again soon. When I am not busy. It would be nice that we go on a little date with just the two of us," Gabriel state, giving a playful wink "We still haven't had a chance to catch up with just the two of us," "True. Hopefully, we can soon."

"The teleportation is ready, Gabriel-sama" Irina informs. "Well, it's time I depart," Gabriel whispers, then leans in to give a soft kiss on Nawin's forehead before pulling back, smiling warmly "Take care, sweetie" "You too, Aunt Gabriel."

Nawin watches the bright light enveloping the two women, ready to take them to heaven. He wears a smile and gives a wave. "Take care, Irina" "I will. See you next time, Nawin-kun!" the Shidou says with a bright grin, waving widely before she along with Gabriel disappear in a flash of light.

The Makasha follow the light shooting up to the skies before disappearing into the clouds. Nawin perks when hearing the front door open. He turns around to see Miraya walking out with Akame. "I could have helped you two with the trash," Nawin state, eyeing the two big garbage back in his Knight's hands. "Birthday boy doesn't do trash," Akame simply replies then head to the trash bin that's set pass the fence.

Nawin and Miraya chuckle at Akame's response. "Well," Miraya walks forward and stop in front of her friend, wearing a bright grin "Is this the best birthday you ever had?" "I don't see how you can make it any better," Nawin state with a smile "You have outdone yourself, Miraya. Thank you for this special day." Miraya merely tilts her head and takes the Makasha's hand, giving a soft squeeze "Anything for you."

A soft breeze blows by the pair as they stare at each other eyes. "... Well, Nawin," Miraya leans forward and plant a soft kiss on the Makasha's cheek before pulling back "I wish you a good night." "Yeah..." Nawin nod, smiling "You too, Miraya."

Releasing her grip, Miraya takes a few steps back and gives a grin. "I'll swing by tomorrow to give you the box for the Nautilus," she informs "You kept it away to give me the full surprised, right?" Nawin asks with a smirk. "Ahaha, of course! If you saw the Patek Philippe symbol, then you would immediately know what it was inside."

"Akame," Nawin calls out to his Knight, who's stood by the pavement "Yes?" "Can you do me a favor take escort Miraya home?" "Of course," Akame agrees with a faint smile. "She was going to take me home anyway, Nawin" Miraya informs "Really?" "Ehehe, yep. She offered." Nawin can't help but smile when seeing Miraya is getting along well with his Knight. If there were a person in the group that he would prefer Miraya to bond well with, Akame would be one on the top of the list.

"Goodnight, Nawin-kun," Akame says as Miraya stop beside her. Nawin shuts the fence and locks it. He looks up at his Knight and smiles "Goodnight, Akame. Again, thanks for that lovely drawing. It's one of my favorite gifts today" "I'm glad you like it" Akame replies with a broader smile.

With his goodbyes said, Nawin watches the girls depart. The Culdos glances back to give him one last loving smile for the night before turning forward. "Miraya..." Nawin looks down at the beautiful watch on his wrist as a sincere and warm smile appears on his face "Thank you..."

Watching through one of the front windows in the house is Akeno. She stares solely on her lover and sees that smile. A particular emotion starts swirling around her heart. An expression of anxious form on her face as she grips her chest. 'Nawin-kun...'
