~~Roman Pov~~

Virgil told her uncle that she staying at my place so we can study up on some history or P.O.D. I think she just don't want to at home for a bit, since she was cooped up in the house the whole summer.

"Ro?"She said looking at me with worried in her eyes.

"I'm fine, Emo Nightmare," I assure her.

"Okay don't space out on me like that," She huffed. I smiled thinking how adorable she looks. I pulled into my drive way  and opened the door for her," Thanks Princey"

"Your welcome," I said with my prince like smile. We headed in. My mother came running out of the kitchen and gave Virgil a hug.

"Are you okay?" My mother asked.

"Yes I'm fine Mrs. Sanders," She said trying to escaped my mother grasped,"Um Roman wheres your dad?" she asked.

"Oh, he had a family reunion to go to," my mom asked letting go of Virgil.  

"Okay," Virgil responded. 

"So, what are you two up to tonight?" My mother asked giving me a wink.

"Nothing. Just going to study up for P.O.D" I said turning red. Virgil and my mom laugh. I rolled my eyes and stomped off to my room. I could hear them talking downstairs.

~Virgil Pov~

Roman walked off to his room.

"What a child?" I said laughing.

"He always like this when your around," His mother said.

"Really?" I questioned. She nodded.

"I think you change my little boy for the better," She sighed looking at me.

"I think he changed me,"I said remembering what I was like before I met Roman.

"You do think he changed you? How?" she asked. I rubbed the back of my neck.

"Um.. well, let me think here," I said trying to figure out the words," Well before I met him. I was quiet and to myself. I never asked anyone for help or think I needed it. I also had problems with my parents. It was my junior year or last year that I came out of  my little safe bubble. Now my senior year I'm more out going," I said concluding my backstory. 

"I totally get it, now," She nodded putting her hands on my shoulders, "add less jumpy,"She added making both of us laugh.

"That is true," I said whipping away a few tears.

"Can you go check on him for me? I have to finish dinner," She asked. I nodded and headed up to Roman's room.

"Princey are you okay?" I asked knocking on his door.  I heard stuff moving around in his room," Princey are you going to let me in?" I asked getting a little irritated. No responds  but more movement coming from inside."ROMAN LET ME IN!" I yelled. The door opened slowly,"What the hell is wrong with you?"  I asked pushing the door open.

"Nothing wrong," He said.

"Then why did it take you so long to opened the door?" I asked sweetly cupping is his face in my hands.

"No reason," He said melting his face in my hands.

"Come on tell me?" I asked giving him puppy eyes.

"Its not going to work," He said trying to avoid them. I let out a little whimper,"AGGGH, YOU WIN! It was supposed to be a surprised for our adversity,"

"What seriously," I said completely forgot about.

"Yea, Verge did you forget about it?" He asked taking my hands into his. 

"Yea so much had happened last year and us together is like a dream," I said embarrassed that I forgot our adversity.

"It doesn't matter just as long as we are together," He said hugging me. I hugged him back burring my face into his chest smelling his preferred stock cologne.  I could fall asleep in his arms and I mean that literally and figuratively. 

"DINNER!" Roman's mother yelled. We looked at each other and headed down the stairs. Roman grabbed what was on bed side table. 

"So when are you going to give it to her?" She asked looking at him. 

"After dinner," He said putting it on the table. We were eating. I kept looking at the box and think of what in it. Dinner was over and Roman's mom walked out of the kitchen and headed to her room.

"So, whats in the box, Princey?" I asked giving him a side glance.

"Well opened it," He said handing me the box. I looked at the black box and slowly opening and it revealed small, handmade pendant on a chain. The pendant was a sword and shield. I was in tears at the sight of it.

"Thank you so much Princey. I love it," I said with tears rolling down my cheeks. He quickly wrapped his arms around me.

"I love you, Virgil,"He said kept me protectively in his arms.

"I love you,"
