𝗹 ، ⌕ have you . . . ever dealt with a panic attack ? cuz i have .
𝗹 ، ⌕ i couldn't breathe , and i didn't even know i was having one until my best friend's boyfriend , told me . it felt so stupid honestly .
𝗹 ، ⌕ i handled it myself , with these steps . athough , i can't promise that yours can be helped by doing these simple actions , but i'm pretty sure it'll be a tad bit better . insyaAllah .
꒷꒦ close your eyes
↺ this is mostly the most basic thing you should do . especially when you are in a crowded place . close your eyes , and imagine you are alone . in a room , ( dark , probably ) .
꒷꒦ take deep breaths
↺ inhale . exhale . inhale . exhale . take those as deep as you can go , as it can actually calm down your nerves .
꒷꒦ know that you're having a panic attack
↺ it's kinda weird if you don't . especially when you can't breathe . however , truly know that you're only having a panic attack , not a heart attack , or even dying . you're not dying.
꒷꒦ muscle relaxation
↺ how to do this ? simply relax your muscles . it's easier said than done , however , that's why there are three steps for this one . relax your muscles one by one . try and start with your fingers . just one is enough , and move on to another . and keep going and going .
꒷꒦ learn your triggers
↺ by learning your triggers , you can avoid them . though , i know sometimes you can't avoid whatever's causing your panic attacks , then do the steps that are stated above .
꒷꒦ focus on one thing
↺ try to not focus on the panic attack . focus on the things that make you happy . chocolate ? books ? leaves ? trees ? it can be as simple as a picture you saw that morning . anything that can take your mind off things .
