Reyna nodded to the other doctors as she made her way to President Snow's office, her curled lip hidden behind the mask. Honestly, she thought about killing a few, the ones she had encountered before while strapped to that God-forsaken table. It was more difficult than she expected to fight the urge.

She finally got to his office, slipping through the door and closing it quietly behind her. Snow was behind his desk, watching the latest of the Rebel propaganda. Her heart swelled to see Katniss alive and well, at least for now.

Without turning to look at who it was, he calmly said, "Would you like to see your precious Mr. Odair?"

She froze, slowly moving her eyes to the screen. There he was. His speech was so convincing, so compelling against the Capitol, she wanted to out Snow right then and there, even more than before.

"Finnick..." Reyna murmured, the needle going slack in her hand. It, along with the bottle, cracked against the floor. She didn't care.

Instead, she stumbled forward, paying no heed to Snow for the moment. She caught herself on the edge of the desk, sagging against it. Her hand shook as she tried to reach out to him, but it passed right through his image.

Snow cut the screen then, making her whirl around to face him. "Turn it back on!" She hissed out.

He chuckled, tossing the remote aside. "The only place you will be seeing your lover ever again is in your nightmares."

Her eyes widened and she turned around to escape, but it was too late. Peacekeepers spilled into the study, weapons aimed at her chest. She could still feel the phantom pain of being shot in the shoulder, even now. It wasn't pleasant.

So she held her hands up, eyes burning in hate. A guard shuffled forward, but her glare made him extremely reluctant. He secured an electronic collar around her neck, barely pulling his hands away in time to save his fingers from being bitten off.

She lunged at him, and he shut his eyes tight for the death that surely she would cause him. It never came.

Instead, she felt electricity shoot through her body. It stung all the way down her spine to her feet, making her let out a cry. She was brought to her hands and knees, panting for breath. Snow laughed from his comfortable position, holding the remote.

Two guards that were obviously more seasoned than the one before put the same cuffs on her wrists and ankles, chaining it all together. Then they dragged her back to her cell, kicking and screaming.

Johanna and Peeta barely looked up as the door opened, but upon seeing her limp body, they surged their feet. Jo shouted curses that could set water on fire, lashing out at them. Peeta weakly pounded on the bars, but he was so, so frail.

He was pale and sickly, gaunt to the point of near-starvation, and so empty.
It broke Reyna's heart to see him like this, and Johanna wasn't much better. They tossed her on the ground like a rag doll, giving one last kick to her side each before leaving.

A little bit later, she sat up and inched over to her side of the bars. "Jo? Peeta?"

"I'm here, Reyna." The baker's son murmured, slumped against the wall.

"Where's Mags?" She asked worriedly.

Johanna appeared then from the dark shadows of the unlit cell. "Dead."

Reyna's sea blue eyes widened a fraction. She shook almost unnoticeably. "Oh." Was all that came out. A single, tiny tear rolled down her cheek, but if either of them noticed it, they didn't say any thing.

She looked around the cell, seeing a pile of scraps she assumed was the food she was given for that week. Instead of scarfing it down as she usually would, she brought the plate closer to the bars. "Peeta," she whispered, slipping the food through the bars.

He opened his eyes weakly and sat up, although even that made his arms shake. Reyna carefully set the food in his outstretched hand, closing his fingers around it for him so he wouldn't drop it.

The young man wolfed it down, literally starving. "We're gonna escape, Peeta. Have hope." Reyna murmured to him and to herself, before slipping into an uneasy sleep on the cold, hard floor.

"Where did you get that? That was Finnick's!" Reyna growled out, taking a step forward.

"Easy, Princess of the Amazons. He gave it to me. A token of good faith, if you will. Oh, and we should probably go if we don't, you know, want to die." He drawled, giving another lopsided grin.

"You watch my back, I'll cover yours." She begrudgingly made her first alliance, sprinting off for the forest with him.

After they had run for what felt like nine miles in the woods, the boy finally had to stop. He leaned against a tree, his hands on his sides and his back curled in.

"You won't catch your breath well that way. Put your hands on your head, try to make yourself as tall as possible."

He did as she instructed, and already his breathing had improved. "Thanks," He panted out. "I'm Will. William Robins, District 1."

"That's an unusual name for your District." The girl commented.

"Well, my parents weren't sucked in by their culture. And my grandfather's name was Will, so there's that too. What's your name?"

"Reyna. Reyna Bowman, from District 4." She answered softly. Of course, they both knew each other's name and origins, but this was a way to break the ice.

"Oh, the one they had to hold back last year during the male Reaping. Didn't you try to scratch someone's eyes out when they called that guy's name? Fredrick, or something?" He tilted his head to the side in curiosity. His eyes shone, making her heart constrict. Her sister made that exact expression.

"Finnick. Finnick Odair." Reyna murmured, standing upright again. "Let's get going, I want to put enough distance between us and them before nightfall."

"Lead the way."
