*2 weeks before*

Angel's POV     

I get back home after the funeral. I saw my parents are still here. I don't say anything, still feeling sad so I just go to my room. On the way to my room on upstairs, I meet Woobin oppa.

"Angel, Im sorry...."

"Don't." I just ignore him & walk straight to my room.

I jump on my comfortable bed. I found Baby, my teddy bear on my bed & hug it. I sigh in content. Im so tired that I want to sleep right now.

Then I hear a knock on my door.

"What?!" I shout in frustration. I just want to sleep!

"Ha Na, ur father wants to talk to u. We are at the living room. Come down when u are ready." my mom's voice can be heard from the other side of the door.

Now I feel guilty to shout at my mom. I will apologise later. But ugh! That old man! What does he want now??

I quickly go downstairs as I know it's not a good idea to make him wait. I go to the living room to see Woobin oppa & mom are also there.

I raise my eyebrow, "What is it?"

"Come sit." my mother pats the seat beside her.

I quickly sit beside my mom. My father is looking serious now. Too serious.

"What is it? Please talk quick. Im still tired from the trip & I want to sleep." I said.

"U will get married." My father said.

"What? But Im still young! Im just 18!" I start to protest, now fully awake.

"U are getting married & that's final."

Woobin oppa & mom just look at me with a pity look.

"Wait, why am I listening u? U said u won't interfere with my life anymore if I get out of ur mansion. So what is this?!"

"I never make such promise. But u must married this boy or I will send u to the States to study business!"

Im speechless right now. How could he? He just broke our promise!

"But--"

I look at Woobin oppa that starts to talk. Yesh! It's Woobin oppa to save the day!

"--she already has a boyfriend!"

Ugh... maybe not -_-'

"What? Why don't I know about this?"

I glare at him, "Why do u care?"

He narrows his eyes at me, "If u bring ur 'so called boyfriend' in this month, I will cancel the wedding."

"Oh yeah? How can I know u won't break ur promise?"

He ignores my remarks, "I will see if he's worth it or not."

I huff, "Fine..."

I will kill Woobin oppa after this!

*Present*

I sigh as I remember that I have to look for a boyfriend. Woobin oppa suggests that I hire a pretend boyfriend but who? The only person I could think is him, but I know he won't accept it.

I am now at the park, playing the swing.

"Hey Angel!"

I turn to see Kris walks to me. Speaking of the devil...

I salute at him, still gloomy.

"Hey, I want to visit Ha Ra. Want to go together?"

Wait! I've got an idea!

"Kris?"

"Hmm?"

"About our deal..." I smirk.

He widens his eyes, "I-I thought the deal is over?.."

"Yep it over...."

He sighs in relief.

".... cuz u lose!"

"W-what? No!"

"Yes, u do. Cuz u approach me first when we are here that night before we go to Eurwangni beach."

He gulps, "Y-you notice?..."

I smile even wider.

He sighs, "Ok, what do u want?"

"Be my pretend boyfriend."

Kai's POV

I wake up this morning to see Ha Ra still closes her eyes. I should've know... I look at the window to see the sun is already rises.

It's afternoon already. Im glad that today is Saturday. So I can be beside Ha Ra the whole day. I grab my clothes for today from my bagpack & go to the bathroom inside Ha Ra's room to shower & change. (Ha Ra gets a VIP room cuz I request the nurse. So she has a big room & a bathroom for herself.)

After I finish changing & shower, I walk out of the bathroom to see Ha Ra already awakes. I quickly goes towards her.

"Hey--"

Before I could say anything, the door opens revealing Myuna & Luhan. They are surprise to see Ha Ra's awake that Myuna shouts happily.

No One's POV

"HA RA, U ARE AWAKE!!"

She rushes to Ha Ra's side, shoving Kai. Ha Ra just look at them with no emotion.

"Ha Ra.." Myuna whispers, disappoint with Ha Ra's lack of response.

Ha Ra just look at the ceiling with a blank look.

"I-I call the doctor..." Myuna said quickly before rushing out of the room.

Luhan follows Myuna as he knows she's crying & he will comfort her.

It is just Kai & Ha Ra in the room. Kai smile as their gaze meet.

"Im so happy that u are awake."

Ha Ra just broke their gaze & look at the window with a sad look.

Then the doctor comes with a nurse, behind them are Myuna & Luhan. They check Ha Ra's condition.

"Miss Park, can u move ur right hand?"

Ha Ra moves her right hand slowly. The doctor removes the oxygen mask.

"Can u breathe properly right now?"

Ha Ra nods.

"Can u tell me ur name?"

Ha Ra opens her mouth but there's no sound come out. Myuna gasps in shock.

"Doctor, what's wrong with Ha Ra??" she asks.

"Let's talk in my office." the doctor said in a very serious tone.

Once again, Myuna & Luhan go to the doctor's office, leaving Kai & Ha Ra alone again.

Kai looks at Ha Ra with a worry face.

"Are u okay?"

Ha Ra doesn't answer him as she looks at the window. Kai just sigh mentally.

"What's wrong with my sister, doc?" Myuna asks the doctor.

"She's being doing pretty well right now. She can breath herself & she has gain enough strength in her body..."

"So why don't she speak?"

The doctor rubs his temple, "Does she experience any traumatic events recently?"

"Umm... she's been depressed with her mother's dead but it was weeks ago." Luhan answers.

The doctor nods, "I assume that she force herself to not speak."

"W-what... what are u saying, doctor?" Myuna asks.

"U said u found her in half dead state after weeks of trapping herself in her house, right?"

They nod.

"I assume she's been too depressed that she shuts herself from the world. Maybe she doesn't want to talk to everyone that she stop talking & automatically loses her voice..."

"Are u saying she's mute?"

"Sadly yes but this is just temporary. The therapy sessions will help her to overcome the depression & start to talk to people again."

Myuna sighs in relief when the doctor said it is just temporary. Luhan squeezes her hand, assuringly.

"When will she released?" Luhan asks.

"She can go tomorrow afternoon after I do some blood test."

Luhan & Myuna nods.

When they reach Ha Ra's room, they didn't expect to see the scene. Kai is sleeping, his head on the side of the bed & his arms as his pillow. Ha Ra, now in sitting position, caresses Kai's bangs with almost lovingly. The nurse already removes the oxygen mask.

Luhan clears his throat. Ha Ra notices the two & quickly retreats her hand & look at the window with a slight blush but still in her stoic face. Myuna rushes to Ha Ra's side & hugs her.

"Oh Ha Ra... I miss u so much!" Myuna said, a little too loud that Kai wakes up.

Kai squints his eyes cutely, still sleepy. He sees the two girls hugging & smiles at them. He then gets up from the seat & go outside, dragging Luhan along. They are sitting at the seats outside the room.

"Yah! Why are u dragging me along with u??" Luhan whines.

"They need some sister bonding time, so we better don't disturb them. I also want to talk to u."

Luhan raise his eyebrow, "About what?"

"Remember about our competition?"

"Yeah, why?"

"I give up."

"Huh?"

"I... I misinterpret my feelings. I like Ha Ra, not Myuna."

Luhan mouth an 'o'.

"So we are good?" Kai asks.

"Of course! But u have to help me to get Myuna." Luhan said, grinning at his dongsaeng.

"No problem."

Luhan then tell Kai about Ha Ra's condition & she can leave tomorrow afternoon. When they get back into the room, they see Myuna trying to feed Ha Ra with lunch food.

"Ha Ra, please eat. Just a little bit, please~" Myuna pleads Ha Ra.

Ha Ra shakes her head. Myuna sighs.

"What is that, Myuna?"

"Ha Ra's lunch. The nurse advise me to feed her as she still can't move her hands properly but she won't eat.." Myuna said sadly.

Kai gets near the girls. Ha Ra observing his action skeptically. He grabs the spoon with porridge on it & look at her.

"Eat."

Ha Ra narrows her eyes at him then shakes her head.

"Ha Ra, u must eat so that u can leave the hospital quickly."

Ha Ra realises that he is right. She really wants to get out of this place. So she hesitantly opens her mouth & let Kai feed her.

Luhan & Myuna just gawk at the two, surprise that Kai success to persuade the stubborn Ha Ra. Ha Ra manages to eat half of the porridge, which is good.

"So Kai, u will spend the night here, right?" Luhan suddenly asks.

"What? No, I want to take care of Ha Ra!" Myuna said.

"Relax, Myuna! Kai can take care of Ha Ra very well. U saw he fed Ha Ra easily, right? So no need to worry. And we also have a date!" Luhan winks at Kai, giving signals.

"Yeah, Myuna. I can take care of Ha Ra. Don't worry."

"But--"

"Okay, let's go on our date! Bye Kai, Ha Ra!" Luhan cuts Myuna & drags her outside.

"Luhan!"

It is midnight. Ha Ra & Kai already sleep with Kai on his position earlier. Ha Ra wakes up suddenly, having a bad dream. She dreams about her mother leaves her alone in the dark. She can't control her breathe & squirm a lot, making the bed moves & Kai awakes.

Kai looks at Ha Ra and see she's panting non-stop. He tries to comfort her. He rubs her hands, trying to assure her that everything's okay but she just couldn't calm down. He then gets on the bed & whispers calm words to her ear that she finally calm down.

"It's okay, Im here. I will always protect u."

Ha Ra practically melts as she hears Kai sweet words.

'Maybe it's okay to not be bothered with my problems. Just for tonight...' Ha Ra thought.

The next thing surprise both of them as Ha Ra hugs Kai. Ha Ra doesn't care anymore right now. She just want Kai's comfort. Kai also shocks with her action but then hugs her back.

'Stay with me until I sleep?' Ha Ra tries to tell Kai her thought with pleading eyes.

Kai seems to understand her & hugs her tightly. He kisses her forehead, the same warmth she feels on her cheeks last night. He then strokes her head soothingly.

"I will never leave ur side, jagi."

They then cuddle to sleep.
