Next Day;

Melody and Cyan didn't come to class because of student council meeting. It was supposed to end just before lunch break.

Ren's thoughts during class: She's not here? Seems like she's in that meeting. I won't be able to see her before lunch break. I hope she can sing now. If  only she tells me I was a little bit of help. But.... why am I so desperate for her to be my friend? I thought I didn't like her....I'm totally messed up here!

After the meeting ends Melody walks towards the door.

Cyan: Melody, wait!

Melody: What is it?

Cyan: Well.. umm... yesterday Ren...

Melody: He did come to talk.

Cyan: and?

Melody: I told him everything.

Cyan: So.. does that mean you trust him?

Melody: I don't know. It felt important for him to know the truth so I told him. There's nothing more to it.

Cyan: Yeah....., Umm! Your voice! Can you sing now?

Melody: Well......(Not gonna write what she said)

.............

Ten minutes later;

Cyan runs through the corridors looking for Ren.

After searching for some time, she finds him in his club room.

Cyan: Ren! *Breathing hard*

Ren: Cyan?

Cyan: Melody..... CAN SING AGAIN!!!!

Ren: What? Really?!! I'm... glad...

Flash back in Cyan's mind;

Cyan:Yeah.... umm, Your voice! Can you sing now?

Melody: Well..... Seems like I owe  him one. Talking to him really brought my voice back. I'm.... grateful to him....

Cyan: I... HAVE TO TELL REN!!!!

Melody: Don't tell him that I am grateful to him!

Cyan: Yeah I know, your EGO matters! *Runs away*

.......... END OF FLASHBACK........

Cyan: Ren , Thank you very much!

Ren: No it's okay. I mean... I just heard how she felt.

Cyan: Ren, you might not know this but her past is something only people closest to her know about. and that's only because they were a part of it..... You are the first person she told about this herself and without asking....

Ren: Am I?.....

Cyan: Way to go Man....

Ren: .............

Ren's thoughts: YES! YES! YES! , I don't know why but I feel like I have achieved something! And I'm glad...

Ren: So this means that she can start her practice?

Cyan: Well, The idol Melody is strict. She NEVER practices at school. She practices at home.

Ren: Huh? Why?

Cyan: She can't handle student council work and practice, both at the same time. Also, she doesn't want anyone to see her dance or listen to her song before concert.

Ren: I see... I can't wait for the concert then.

Cyan: Me too!

After the lunch break's over, they go back to their class. This time Melody is there. 

(Melody sits beside Ren)

During the lecture, Melody silently puts a piece of paper on Ren's table.

Ren opens it , reads it and blushes a little.

After that, time passed steadily. Melody worked hard for the concert and Ren prepared a present for her that he'd give her after her success of which he was sure. 

But as the days of competition came near, things got more tense. There was a chill in the environment.

Two days before the competition;

Melody and Cyan are walking through the corridors.

Whispers;

It's her.

What's she doing?

She's stupid!

Yeah, she challenged THE Karin and look how calm she is.

Talk about over confidence.

I heard she never practices.

She's dead.

I'm not going to the event.

No one is. We don't wanna get frustrated after losing.

Yeah. I'd better stay at home.

...............

Cyan: Melody, don't you think things are a little tense?

Melody: I know.

Cyan: So, what are you gonna do about it?

Melody: Nothing and what can I?

Cyan: Come on now. After these last few weeks, can you still be that cold?

Melody: It's not about being cold. They don't believe me to begin with.

Cyan: Melody....

Melody: Don't worry about it.*Walks away*

Cyan's thoughts: You say that but....

Melody goes to the terrace.

Looking down at many students in the ground beneath, she sighs.

Melody: Can I change it?

Ren: Yes.

Melody: You!

Ren: I've got a name you know.

Melody: I know. Sorry.

Ren: WO! You aren't the type to give up that easy, what's wrong?

Melody: It's nothing.

Ren: I'm not stupid. You are worried about how students are reacting to you being the school idol, right?

Melody: So you knew.

Ren: Kinda.

Melody:............ Tell me.... what should I do?

Ren: You're asking me?

Melody: I just wanna know what you'd do in this situation.

Ren: When it was my first concert, only 20 people showed up and those who never came regretted it. They missed something awesome.

Melody: I really didn't know something like this can happen. My first concert flooded the auditorium.

Ren: Lucky you.

Melody: I'm so unaware of difficulties...

Ren: A little bit. But I think everyone should be there at your concert.

Melody: How?

Ren: I would suggest you to ask nicely but you'd probably say no so I have a more acceptable idea.

Melody: And that is?

Ren: Tell them what you feel. You don't have to say nicely, just tell them whatever comes in your mind.

Melody: I... can't do that.

Ren: The choice is your own but remember this; "It's useless to try hard for someone if they aren't there to see it."

Saying this Ren leaves. 

Melody's thoughts: He's so annoying.... Am I kidding myself?! He's too nice! Very very nice......

Ren's thoughts: She really trusts me doesn't she? I don't know why but this feeling I'm feeling is beautiful. She seems to be so special. Being around her always makes so happy.... no, more of a kind... nervous. But when I can't see her, she's all I can think of. And I'm happy about that.........

After a little while Melody walks to Cyan and takes her with her to the announcement room.

Cyan: Go on Melody.

Melody: O..Okay...

She speaks in the mic:

"A..This is The Student Council President, Furukawa Melody but right now I'm The School Idol of Airi High School. The day after tomorrow is the R.S.C. (Ruler school competition) and I've heard that none of you are going to be there.... I'm not gonna request you to come. Just know that if you miss it then you'll always wish that you would've been there. When our school wins, you won't be able to hold that long lost trophy. You'll miss that moment and those expressions on Saika High's student council president's face. In short, I'll win either way but what you'll miss won't return.... Besides I'm working so hard and someone told me that: "It's useless to try hard for someone if they aren't there to see it."........ I..... want to see you all there.... I mean ! You should be there as a student of Airi high! ...T..That's all! Thank you!! "*PANICKED*

Cyan hurriedly takes over:

 "Umm... Sorry about that! What she meant was that she wants you all to support her. She can't do it with out you. That's all. Thank you for listening!!"

At the same time;

Melody leaves the room but stops seeing Ren leaning to a wall.

Ren: You did it. Good job.

Melody: T..Thank you! * She hides her face with her hair and dashes away*

But Ren manages to see her face just a little.

Ren's surprised.

Ren's thoughts: W..Was she.... smiling?! She... was!! And this feeling, it's back. And some how I know what it is. Now that I made her trust me... I think I've.... started to like her in THAT way.... I'm sure of it! I've feelings for her..... It's all clear to me now....

Melody's thoughts: Why can't I see him in the eye?! He IS like any other guy!....I guess..........

Cyan talking to herself:

I don't know about her being an idol but she's definitely affected by Ren's actions. And maybe she is falling for him! 

This is big news, must tell Nagisa!! *Takes out her cell phone*
