Few Days Later:

( lunch break)

Melody: Why are you constantly late for school? You are known for your punctuality.

Girl: I...I get up late for school, I study till late at night!

Melody: You are telling a lie.

girl:I..I'm not!

Melody: Tell me the real reason. As the president, I'll help.

girl: What can you do?!

Melody: Anything. Now answer!

girl: I..I'm getting bullied... by some boys.

Melody: I thought so. Give me their names and where to find them.

girl: Are you sure?

Melody gives her a stern look.

Girl: Okay.....

Time skip:( Girl is being bullied again)

Melody: Stop right there! What do you think you are doing?

Boy: Nothing you have to be worried about. Get lost!

Melody: Listen up close. If you tried to bully her or anyone else again, I'll make you regret it your entire life. I'll warn you only once. This is a serious warning. Believe me, you'll not only be expelled but also will be hospitalized at least for a month.

Another guy: Who do you think you are? You!!

He tries to slap Melody and the girl closes her eyes. Melody stops his hand and roles him away like a piece of junk.The guy hits the wall hard. Everyone is surprised.

Guy: S...Such power. You'll regret this!

The five boys ran away. Melody knew they were third years. She was second year and the girl was first year student.

Girl: Thank you Senpai!

Melody: It was my duty. What happened here must stay between you and me.

Girl: yes!

A few days later:

Cyan is walking alone in empty hallways because the school's out. Suddenly she is surrounded by at least 10 boys.

Cyan: W.Who are you?! W..What do you want?!

Guy: Don't worry girly, your dear friend just made a mistake and now you'll pay for it.

Cyan: Melody?

Guy: poor you, getting caught in a fight between her and us.

Cyan's thoughts: This is bad! I have to run!

Cyan tries to run but a guy grabs her arm. She struggles to get away but all in vain. When she struggles too hard the boy pushes and throws her towards the wall and her head hits it , causing it to bleed. Just then Melody arrives there. When she looks at Cyan bleeding, she gets enraged.

Melody: You! How dare you! You are paying for this!!!

In extreme anger, Melody starts beating up the guys. With out much effort she beats them all up but the guy who actually pushed Cyan was still getting beaten up. He was in a bad condition but Melody won't stop punching and kicking him. Cyan asked her to stop but it won't work.

Melody: HOW DARE YOU HURT HER?!! WHY?!!! I'LL KILL YOU! YOU BASTARD!!!!HOW DARE YOU HURT MY FRIEND?!!!!!................

Just then Ren passes by. As soon as he realizes what's going on, he grabs Melody from her arm, pulling her away.

Melody: LET ME GO! I'LL KILL HIM!!! HE TRIED TO HURT MY FRIEND! (teary eyes)

Ren: Stop it Melody!

Cyan runs and hugs Melody, trying to calm her.

Cyan: It's okay.... I'm fine. Calm down.... (Crying)

Melody: I.....I'm sorry.... (Panting and crying)

Ren: Y..You guys should go home.... I'll take care of this mess.

Cyan:Are you sure?

Ren: Yes, just go.

Cyan: Thank you so much Ren-kun!

Ren: No problem. Just...take care of her.

Ren's thoughts: What in the world was that? She was so angry..... at least she accepted the fact that Cyan is her friend. This is the side of her's people don't want to see. She also has feelings or should I call them intense feelings...........

Cyan's thoughts: Melody....... Thank you soo much for always being there for me. I'm so happy to learn that you still consider me your friend.

Melody's thoughts: Calm down..... take a deep breath.....Cyan's fine. Don't let these feelings take over you!

Next day:

In the student council room, Ren visits Melody and Cyan.

Knock Knock!

Cyan: Come in....... Oh, Ren-kun!

Ren: Good morning.

Cyan: Same to you.

Ren: How are you feeling?

Cyan: I'm fine. It was just a scratch.

Ren: and Melody?

Cyan: I think she is fine. The only thing that bothers her is that she showed her violent side too soon.

They both look towards Melody who is normally doing her president work.

Cyan's and ren's thoughts: She is acting like nothing happened at all!

Cyan: I hope Melody doesn't get into trouble...

Ren: Don't worry. The situation was taken as self defense. Although that guy has been hospitalized for two months, no one will find out about this incident.

Cyan: Thank you very much.

Ren: Don't sweat it.

Cyan: I almost forgot. I have some work to do, I'll see you guys later. ( Almost out of the door)

Melody: Cyan!

Cyan: Yes?

Melody: T..Take care. ( slightly blushing)

Cyan: Yes Maám! (Very happy) (leaves)

..................................

Ren: You really care for her.

At first there is no answer.

Melody: I do. No matter how much I deny it but she is very special to me. She is my single friend.

( emotion less face STILL)

Ren: I get it. You are not as cold as you show everyone.

Melody: I am, now go away. I have work to do.

Ren: Fine I am going. Always that cold lady! (Leaves)

Ren's thoughts: The more I know about her, the more I feel happy. What is this strange feeling? She is a wonderful person after all....AND she actually talked to me normally although it was only one line... 

Melody's thoughts: Why am I feeling this desire to return to my real self again after all these years? I mustn't! but....... what's this strange feeling I feel around him?........ I'm thinking too much! He's just another dumb guy!

Cyan's thoughts: Finally after all this time, she is returning..... she is changing. I'm so happy. I am keeping my promise....Nagisa!
