The next days pass with Melody planing and plotting her date and Ren studying his butt off.

Finally, Saturday night arrives.

Melody is sitting in her room, studying.

Melody's thoughts: Tomorrow's the day, everything is prepared. Hope everything goes as planed...(sigh) but that's least of my concerns.... I know we had a fight but still... HOW DARE HE IGNORE ME LIKE THAT?!... That's so not like him. Is there something more than just that fight? but how much do I know him anyways...? He must be the type who makes big fuss over small fights... But... maybe he didn't figure out that going out with Nagato is a part of my plan.... is he angry cause he's jealous? I wonder......Why are boys so complicated?! I'm dying with worry here and he must be enjoying a wonderful dinner with his...family?..or..friends...Does he have any female friends?.....A GIRLFRIEND?!...NO no no no no! He definitely doesn't. I really hope he doesn't....But why do I even care? AHHHHH!!!! He is so annoying!!!

Ren is having dinner with his younger sister and brother. They are twins.

Ren's thoughts: I'm dead tired! It's hard to study. I miss old times when all I needed to do was read the books and easily get brilliant marks. But even though I don't need to, just thinking of what Melody can do makes me study like this..... I've never been affected by a girl like this... She is so awesome.... I bet she doesn't even need me.... I just hope she'll be fine tomorrow.... AND that she doesn't find out that I'll be following her.... I can't let her go alone now can I? I know she doesn't care but I do......

Sister: Big brother...

Ren: What is it Haruhi?

Haru (brother): You are acting weird.

Ren: No I'm not.

Haruhi: Yes you are! You are studying like your life depends on it and just now, you were talking to yourself!

Ren: Technically it does, Keep your little noses out of it!

Haru: Okay but one last question... Who's Melody?

Ren: How do you know about her?!

Haruhi mimics his voice: " Just thinking of what Melody can do makes me study like this....She is so awesome..."

The twins begin to giggle.

(HE SPOKE SOME OF HIS THOUGHTS OUT LOUD)

Ren: Okay, now you two are in trouble!

Both of them jump off their seats and run while Ren chases after them.

(Both are 10)

Haru: Is she your girlfriend?

Haruhi: Or maybe crush?!

Ren: Come here you two! This is none of your business!!

Haru: Wait till we tell big sis!

Haruhi: Yeah, she'll investigate!

Ren: No, please! Anything but big sis!

Just then, a young lady appears in the main hall.

Woman: Look at you three running around the house again! I thought I forbade you to do so. Last time, you broke my vase worth 20 million!

Ren: It's your fault. You buy such useless and expensive stuff Ayano onee-chan!

Ayano: Always the rude one.

Haruhi: We were just talking about you!

Haru: We have big news!

Ren: No you don't! By the way, why are you home so early? Weren't you on a date with your boyfriend?

Ayano: He was late, so I broke up with him!

Ren:( SIGH) You never learn... This was you 13th boyfriend this year!

Ayano: Hm! I'll keep looking for my prince till I find him!

Haru: I wonder if such a guy even exists...

Ayano: What did you say?!

Ayano pinches Haru's cheeks.

Haru: Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! I said big brother has a crush!!!

Ayano lets go of him and smirks.

Haruhi: Yeah! He is always thinking about her!

Ren: You guys...

Ren regretted having dinner with them.

Ayano turns towards Ren.

Ayano: Is that true? You finally like someone?

Ren: I... whatever! It's none of your business!!

Ayano puts her hand on his head, ruffling his hair.

Ayano: I'm happy for you... Bring her home sometime.

Ren blushes and looks away.

Ren: You know I will.

Haru: What?!

Haruhi: We thought we'd get to know more about her!

Ayano: Well at least we can see how she looks like, right?

Ren: (SIGH) Fine!

Ren shows them her picture in his phone.

Ayano's eyes widen.

Ayano: She doesn't know that her picture is being taken. Are you stalking her?

Haruhi: It is possible.

Ren: No I'm not!

Haru: Then why didn't you just ask her for a picture?

Ren: Because she's very hot headed and... I was kind of... rejected...

Ayano: REJECTED?!!!

Ren: But I am still trying... I'm sure she'll fall for me... someday...

Ayano: My poor brother!

Ayano begins to fake cry.

Ren: Stop it big sis, you look worse... I am going to my room....

Ren leaves.

Next morning,

Melody is standing in front of the mirror with Cyan beside her.

Cyan: You look lovely!

Melody: Do I HAVE to dress like this? You know I'm more comfortable in..

Cyan: We don't want him to know your real taste and you have to look like you wanted to go on this date.

Melody: He's not an idiot so he already knows this is fake.

Cyan: Then won't he react to all you are planning on doing to him?

Melody: You know what's common between us?

Cyan: Umm... other than being scary?

Melody: No stupid, we both are student council presidents. THAT controls most of our actions. His pride won't let him apologize to others but that same pride will prevent him from breaking a promise he made. He has to pay for loosing this bet and if he doesn't, no one will respect him and he might even be expelled.

Cyan: I hope you're right.

Melody: It's okay. Just make sure you do your job right.

Cyan: Okay.

Just then a butler knocks at the door. He informs them that Nagato is here to pick her up.

Cyan: I'm so sorry that you have to go on a date with him.

Melody: This is not a date. It's a mission.

Cyan: Y..Yeah...

Melody goes down stairs where Nagato is waiting for her. Looking at her, his jaw drops open.

Nagato's thoughts: I hate her but she's beautiful...

Nagato: Good morning milady.

Melody walks to him.

Melody's thoughts: Uh! Gross!

Melody gives him a forced sweet smile.

Melody: Good morning.

Nagato: You are looking as amazing as always.

Melody: Thank you. You look quite handsome too.

Nagato: (smirk) Shall we?

He offers her his hand.

She takes it, trying to stop herself from making a disgusted face.

Melody's thoughts: Get yourself together Melody! This is all for your school and all those whom he hurt! You can do this!

......They sit in his car.

Nagato: So where are we going?

Melody: A few places. I'll tell you the way.

Nagato : okay.

..............15 minutes later...

Melody: Just right here.

Nagato stops the car.

Nagato: Here? But it's a kindergarten.

Melody: Yes it is.

Melody gets out of the car. Nagato follows her.

Melody: I come here every Sunday and sometimes even on weekdays.

Nagato: So you only wanted me to be your driver?

Melody: OH of course not! That'd be too nice of me. You are going to help me take care of the kids here. Don't worry, it's only for two hours.

Nagato: Very well.

Nagato's thoughts: What is she planning?

As soon as they enter the building, little kids come running towards them.Nagato takes a few steps back while Melody kneels down and laughs as they hug her.

Kids: Big sis Melody!!

Melody: Hey guys!

Nagato looks at her with shock as his face turns red.

Nagato's thoughts: How is she even making that face?! Why am I finding her so cute!

The kids look at Nagato .

Kid: Who is he sister?

Melody: He and I are on a date so I decided that we should spend a little time with you guys too.

Kids: Wow!!!!

They all walk to him.

Kid: Come! Lets go inside!

He grabs his hand and pulls him. He frowns and follows.

They all go to the large room.

Melody: Lets get started then!

One of the children asks Nagato to play horse which he bluntly says no to. The boy begins to cry. Melody, who was playing with other kids, turns her face and glares at Nagato.

Melody: He's a kid! Do what he says! Are you forgetting what our deal was?

Nagato: Whatever!

Nagato becomes a horse and about ten kids climb up on him. If it wasn't heavy enough, six more jump right on.

Nagato's thoughts: This is ridiculous! Why am I even doing this?!

Nagato, unable to bear the weight, goes crashing on the ground.

A child: You're no fun!

Another child: Yeah , get up already!

The kids begin to jump on him. He pushes them away and luckily they fall on the pillows.

Nagato: I'm not your toy you little brats!

Melody: Nagato!

The kids begin to cry.

Melody: Pick them up right now!

Nagato glares at Melody but silently picks two of the kids up.Just then, one of the kids pees on his shirt.

Nagato: What the hell?!

He throws both of them away like they are things. Melody catches them. Just then, the kids begin to throw pillows at him. He backs away and accidentally steps on a dirty diaper.

Nagato: Ewww!!!! You bastards!!! I swear I'll kill you all!

Melody laughs.

Melody: Why don't you go wash up first?

He walks to Melody.

Nagato: You planned this! You sneaky B..!

Melody cuts him off.

Melody: You shouldn't curse in front of kids.

Nagato glares at her and she smirks. Just then the kids bring buckets full of sand from their sandbox and begin to throw it on him.

Melody grabs his hand and takes him to the washroom.

Melody: You can clean up here.

She gives him an innocent look. He looks at her and goes in with out a word.

Nagato's thoughts: Why..? Why can't I just talk back to her?! What is stopping me from leaving ?! This girl.... She's more than what I thought....

Melody knocks the door of the washroom.

Melody: Nagato, hand me your shirt. I'll wash it for you.

Nagato silently hands her his shirt.

Nagato: Don't you have something else I can wear?

Melody: Kinda...

Melody hands him a girl's top.

Nagato: Are you an idiot?! Give me men's clothes!!

Melody: This is the only thing we have right now. Wear it and come out, the kids want to go to the bathroom.

Nagato: No ways! I'm coming out shirtless!

Melody: Do it and I'll break your ribs! We are in a kindergarten, don't be shameless!!

Nagato: I AM NOT WEARING THIS CRAP!

Melody: I've already sent someone to get you a shirt but wear it just till he returns. The kids really need to go to the washroom.

Nagato: FINE!

Nagato wears it and comes out. Melody tries to compress her laugh.

Nagato pins Melody to the wall and brings his face close to her's.

Nagato: You'll regret if you tell anyone about this.

Melody pushes him away.

Melody: This mouth won't say a word. (smirk)

After this, they wait for about fifteen minutes when the new shirt arrives. Melody washes his previous shirt. Then they leave.

In the car;

Nagato:.....

Melody: Won't you ask where we are going next?

Nagato: This date ends right here!

Melody: Seriously, you really don't get the situation you are in. I won the bet and so I tell you what to do. I told you to go on a date with me and this date ends when I say so.

Nagato glares at her.

Nagato's thoughts: I've never been speechless like this! You really got me this time Melody but This date won't end until I take my revenge in some way...

Melody: Next stop, The Mall.

Nagato silently starts driving.

They reach the mall.

Nagato: Now what?

Melody: Now we shop till we drop.

Nagato: Is this even a date?!

Melody holds his hand.

Melody: Of course it is. I promise I'll treat you like a normal girl treats her boyfriend in a mall and more.

Melody smiles at him.

Nagato's thoughts: As if I'll ever trust this face again!

At some distance, two very familiar unfamiliar guys are peeking at them from behind a pillar.

Ren: Usui! Move , I can't see them!

Usui: Stop pushing me!

Ren: Whatever, tell me what they are talking about!

Usui: We can't hear them from this distance. It was the same for the kindergarten. Lets just go home!

Ren: Never!

Usui: Then lets get closer.

Ren: But this is a safe distance. If they see me, Melody will kill me!

Usui: Well look at that, she's laughing and holding hands with that guy!

Ren: What?! Where?!

Usui: There !

Ren: I swear I'm gonna kill Nagato!

Usui: Chill dude, he's already suffering . Melody has already done so many terrible things to him and there's still more to come.

Ren: He deserves that.

Usui: True. Lets just keep following them then.

Ren: Yeah.

.....

Melody goes into a shop, selects some dresses and does the typical girly things. Trying them on and showing them to Nagato who approved most of them and then she made him pay. This went on for the next twenty shops. Worse, he carried all her stuff while she happily ate ice cream.

Melody: Does this seem more like a date now?

Nagato: Did you know you are really annoying?

Melody's reply should've been something cool but....

Melody began to shout in the middle of the mall.

Melody: Why?! You said you loved me! Why do you find me so annoying now?! It's my birthday so I thought you and me would have fun together!!!! I forgave you every time you cheated on me!!!! Oh Why!!!!

People started gathering around. Melody started to fake cry. She went to a couple.

Melody: Sir, Mam, isn't this love?! I gave up my everything for him. I loved him when he cheated on me! I bought him all this stuff and yet.... AAAAA ( FAKE CRYING) Why?! Everyone! Ask him why?!

Everyone started to talk bad about Nagato while he was humiliated. People started yelling at him, telling him to fall on his knees and apologize this instant. It became a public drama.

At last , having no other choice, he fell on his knees and apologized. Just then, Melody ran towards him, tripped and spilled her ice cream on his head. Everyone started laughing at him.

Melody: Ooops sorry, Sweet heart... (note the sarcasm)

People left them alone as she wiped his face with her napkin. He angrily snatched it from her, cleaned the rest of the ice cream, put the napkin in his pocket and went to the rest room.

As he left, Melody smirked.

Melody: My poor fake boyfriend on this fake date.

Nagato's thoughts: This girl.... I could literally kill her right now.... I won't let this go like this.... She'll pay dearly for this. I get your game now.... You and I both, our pride is very important to us. You humiliate me?, I shall do something that'll hurt your pride so much that you'll never look at me in the face.... Just wait till this plan of your's end....

Nagato walks out of the restroom. Melody was waiting for him just outside. All of the bags had just vanished.

Nagato: Where are the bags?

Melody: I gave them to a friend I just met. She'll drop them back at home.

Nagato: If you're done humiliating me, can we go home now?!

Melody: But we haven't had lunch yet!

Nagato: It's okay. No need to go to a restaurant. Just buy something here and throw it on me!

Melody walks closer to him and holds his hand, making the most beautiful innocent face.

Melody: I'm so sorry for all that has happened today... I really want to end this date on a happy note. No more pranks.... We'll have a nice lunch and go home....please?

Nagato's face turns red.

Nagato's thoughts: I know she's lying. I know she's planning something worse.... But... I can't say no to her.... I want to but.... I just can't..... Why?...

Melody's thoughts: Finally all this ends.

.....

Usui: I haven't seen her make a face like that before. She's really good at acting.

Ren: Shut up!

Ren's thoughts: I know all this is acting.... but I am awfully jealous... She's too close to him... If this is what I get for loosing a bet then I'd rather lose.... But I'm sure she'll never treat me the same way as him...

Melody and Nagato go to a fancy restaurant , hand in hand.

They take a seat and order.As they wait for their food to arrive,

Nagato: You must be very pleased. You achieved your goal.

Melody: Let me tell you something about me, I always keep high goals and I always achieve them. It's up to you if you think this was one of those goals or N.O.T.

Nagato gives her a confused look.

Nagato: So what exactly were you hoping to achieve from this?

Melody: (Smirk) I just want you to realize that apologizing would've been way better. I'm known to leave quite some holes in my enemy's heart.

Nagato: Then it looks like you failed. I still think this date was a good choice.

Melody: Please tell me that when this date finally ends.

Nagato: Gladly...

The waiter brings their food and they have lunch.

As they leave the restaurant, Melody stops on her way to the car. Nagato turns and looks at her smiling and looking at the ground.

Nagato: What happened?

Melody: Nothing.

Nagato: Lets go then.

Melody: Actually there was one more thing.

Nagato: What?

Melody: Can you walk me to the bus stop right there around the corner?

Nagato: So now you want to push me in front of a car?

Melody: I wish I could but no. I just wanna talk and I have to take bus to home too.

Nagato: And I'm fired from your driver's job.

Melody silently begins to walk to the bus stop and Nagato follows her.

They reach the stop.

Melody: The bus should arrive in about five minutes.

Nagato: And this ends this date.

Melody: Yeah. I had a lot of fun.

Nagato: Me too. (sarcasm)

Melody: Now that it's over, I believe that you deserve to know what just happened to you.

Nagato: What do you mean?

Melody: You are a student council president, just like me and what fun would it be to humiliate you if your school fellows won't see it?

Nagato: What?!

Melody: I've captured each and every moment of your utter embarrassment and I'll show it to your fellows and mine. You'll lose all the respect you've built up as the president. THIS is my revenge and as I promised, I won't say a word.

Nagato clenched his fists with anger.

Nagato: You...

Melody: I didn't want to do this but you were the one who didn't apologize. I told you. I never lose.

Nagato begins to laugh loudly.

Melody , shocked, takes a few steps away from him.

Nagato: Amazing! You really are smart.... You surpassed even the highest level I set for you....

Melody's thoughts: What's wrong with him?!

Nagato: It can't be helped now, can it?...... Despite the fact that all this happened, it was still a date right?

Melody: .....

Melody's thoughts: This is not what I expected.... He's creeping me out!

Nagato: Let us end this date now but...

Melody: But?

Nagato: Fortunately, you enjoyed this date, right? So now like every normal date we should end it with... a kiss...

Nagato smirked. Melody took a few steps away with shock. His face gave her the chills.

Nagato's thoughts: Now it's time for my revenge! I'm not effected by this girl!

Melody's thoughts: What kind of a person is he?!

Melody: Stay away from...!

At that very moment, Melody let her guard down. He grabbed her arm and pulled her towards him. She lost her balance and couldn't stop herself from moving towards him.

Melody's thoughts: No! This is too fast for me to back away! Someone, make it stop! REN!!!

After that, everything went in slow motion...... As his face slowly got closer to her, she closed her eyes as tears filled them.

The bus came and stopped in front of them. It waited and then left.

As the bus went, it revealed them again. Nagato was on the ground while Melody was crying in Ren's arms.

As Nagato and Melody's lips were about to touch, Ren came in , pushed and punched Nagato away from her.

Melody's thoughts: HE... CAME! REN!!

Ren: Stay away from her!!!!

He then pulled her in his arms.Melody silently buried her face in his chest, crying.

Ren hugged her back.

Ren: It's okay.... I'm here now....

Melody's thoughts: I'm.... so glad you came... you saved me....

Nagato stands up laughing.

Nagato: So you were following us.... seems like the AMAZING President is actually scared of me.

Ren lets go of her and walks a few steps forward.

Ren: Get lost before I kill you!

Nagato: Oh I'm so scared... Seriously, you haven't changed a bit. You're still all talk. And so is she. She's crying like that because I was going to kiss her? She's such a baby!

Ren: Melody is way stronger than you'll ever be! I'm surprised she didn't kill you yet.... and guess that was a mistake... but I'm not that nice!

Ren took a step towards Nagato but Melody held his arm.

Melody: This... is the very reason I hate boys!!

She yelled in anger.

Melody walked past Ren and slapped Nagato. Then she punched and kicked him. Just when she was ready to break his every bone, Ren stopped her.

Melody: What?! Now you wanna save him?!

Ren: You mustn't Melody.... We mustn't.... Trust me, I wanna kill him too... but beating him up will surely get Airi in trouble! Your reputation will also be damaged that way..... That's what he wants!

Melody looked at Ren and calmed down.

Melody: You're right.... It's not like beating him up will change anything...

Ren: Lets just go...

He grabbed her hand and they turned around to leave.

Melody: For a moment I thought that you weren't so bad and maybe I could forgive you. I might hate guys but I won't hurt them for no reason. Remember that YOU were the one who made a mistake..... People like you never realize how they hurt the other person... girls are not toys you can play with and break.....and be grateful to Ren for your life....

Nagato looked at her in shock. He stared at her, walking away with ren until they turned around the corner.

After walking for a few minutes, they reach Ren's car. Usui had left earlier. They stood beside the car silently. They were staring at the ground standing in front of each other, holding hand.

Ren's thoughts: This is all my fault... I should've stopped them earlier... She must be so hurt.... I don't know what to say anymore....

Melody's thoughts: What am I supposed to say to him? I should say thanks right? I'm so glad he came when he did...

Ren: ..A... You okay?...

Melody lets go of his hand.

Melody: Yeah.... Thank you for saving me....

Ren: It's okay. I'm glad I was there.

Melody: I'm so sorry...You got involved into all this for no reason...

Ren: Don't say that! (He exclaimed) I mean... I wanted to protect you...

Melody: You.... I want to ask you something....

Ren: Sure.

Melody: Do really like me?...I mean... When you said you did.... Did you mean it?

Ren: I... do li..!

Before he could finish his sentence, Melody puts her hands on his lips, preventing him from speaking any further.

Melody: Shut up! Don't say it!

Melody's thoughts: Why did I even ask him that?!

Ren gave her a confused look and she removed her hands.

Ren: But you asked me..!

Melody: I told you not to say it! I know your plan very well! You'll say something weird to me so that I'll get distracted and you'll get better marks than me on these exams! I'm not falling for that!

Ren's thoughts: Seriously?

Ren was usually very cool headed and no matter Melody did, he never got angry but it was changing. It was twice now that he got this pissed off because of her.

Ren: THIS is what you think about the guy who saved you just now?!

Melody: So now you'll brag about it?!

Ren: I'm not bragging!

Melody: Yes you are! And more than my savior, you're my enemy right now! And I'll crush you!

Ren: If this is how you want things to be then FINE! Lets see who wins!

Melody: It's on!

Ren turns around but Melody holds his hand.

Melody: Wait.

She painfully squeezes his hand.

Ren: Ouch! What are you doing?!

Melody: Nobody, Nobody finds out what happened today. Especially Cyan. And I am really serious about this. Cyan must NEVER know what happened.

Ren: Okay , okay! I won't tell anyone!

Melody: Also, drop me home.

Ren: Yes your highness! Please. (Sarcasm)

Melody smirks.

They get in the car and Ren drops her home.

Melody gets off the car.

Melody: Thanks... for the lift and everything else.

Ren:.... Melody,...

Melody: What?

Ren: I... I meant it... When I said that I Li..!

Melody turns around and runs into her house before Ren could complete his sentence.

Ren sighs.

Ren's thoughts: Is it so bad to know that I like her? Why does she ignore me? Why does she run away like that?.... Why ?

Melody's thoughts: Idiot! I told him not to! I can't be thinking about meaningless stuff! I hate him so much!

Melody was blushing like crazy.

Melody goes straight to her bedroom and falls on the bed.She closes her eyes and puts her hands on her chest. Her heart was beating so fast.

Melody: What's wrong with me?

Melody's thoughts: Flash back...

Melody and Nagato walked out of the restaurant. Just then, she sees some bushes near by, move. She takes a few steps towards them and her eyes fall on Ren who is pulling his shirt, tangled in the bush. He didn't notice her.

Melody smiled and looked at the ground.

Melody's thoughts: So he was following me.... This is weird, I should be mad but... I feel kinda happy..

Nagato: What happened?

Melody: Nothing...

..................

Melody's thoughts: What am I doing? Why am I treating him different?..... Am I falling for...! No! No no no no! Am I forgetting everything?! Boys are all the same... I can't fall for him... It was hard enough to be friends and now this feeling... Please let it be anything but love! I won't do the same mistake!

Just then, Cyan rushes into her room.

Cyan: Melody! Are you okay? You took way too long than you were supposed to so I was very worried!!

Melody: Yeah, I'm fine. Just a bit exhausted. I was with Ren.

Cyan: Ren?

Melody: He was following me around. Never mind that, you are sure that all the pictures and videos were taken?

Cyan: Yeah. They are ready to be released tomorrow.

Melody: We are not releasing them. Just tell everyone that Nagato was so terribly humiliated that even I couldn't be mean enough to show it to everyone.

Cyan: But that's not true, is it? You went through so much to do this...

Melody: I'm not forgiving him. I am just gonna make him go crazy. He'll always ask this one question, Why didn't she show them?... I can tell that for him, that curiosity will be a poison. And I think he might also like me so now he'll regret his actions forever and that's how I'll leave a hurting hole in his heart.

Cyan stared at Melody.

Cyan: Did he do something to you? I know you. You'd never go this far... This is not just about the bet now ,is it? You are being cruel right now! That's not you! You'd never hurt someone's feelings....

Melody: Cyan, you are my best friend and I love you but even you can't know everything.... Please do what I said.... It will be fine.

Cyan: Melody.... I really wish you'd go back to being who you were...

Melody: I can't.... I've changed for good.

Cyan leaves the room.

Nagato is lying on his bed.

Nagato: I don't get it.... Wny was my heart beating so fast when I pulled her? Why was I so embarrassed when we were about to kiss?.... Am I in love with her?.... (SIGH) I am.... She's the first girl I've felt this way about..... And she hates me... I wish I had just apologized to everyone....

Nagato begins to laugh.

She was right... She really did make me realize my mistake....(sigh) How can someone be so perfect?.... And that Ren got her first..... I'll hate myself forever for losing her.... She DID leave a hole in my heart forever.... I HATE MY EGO....

As for Ren, He went home and started writing a song because it helped him relax. This song, "Crush" is what he's thinking.
