Chapter 6

Percy

As soon as the words came out of my mouth, I regretted saying it in that way. Annabeth's hand fell from mine and she refused to look at me.

"Annabeth, that's not what I meant. In my nightmare." I explained hurriedly.

"Is that what happened when you passed out?" She asked softly. I reached out and grabbed her face, forcing her to look at me. When I succeeded I wish I hadn't, her eyes were shattered, and a few tears slid down her face. I pulled her closer, until she had her arms wrapped around me in a hug.

"I want to know details." She said. I sighed. "Well it started when I..uh.." I started off.

"Kissed her." She said sadly.

"Uhh, yeah and then I saw you, you ran away and Carly turned into Gaea." I said

"What did Gaea say?" She asked.

"Umm..well she.."

"Percy tell me." She said

"ShesaidthatIbrokeyouandthatIbrokeyourheart." I said super fast.

"Percy Jackson slow down, you can tell me." She said.

"She said that I broke your heart and that I broke you." I finished lamely. She looked me in the eyes and said, "Percy I love you so much and yes I would be broken but I know you and your loyalty would kill you if you did that. I would give you a second chance too, so don't worry about me leaving cause I'm not leaving any time soon." She finished with a smile. I sighed in relief, and kissed her. We melted together and a bomb could have exploded but we didn't care. When she pulled away she stood up and grabbed my hand. I stood up and we left the Nurses office.

"Where are we going?" I asked her. She rolled her eyes.

"Class." She said in a matter of fact tone.

"But, I don't wanna go!" I said. She laughed.

"Come on Seaweed Brain, it's Home Ec. We can have a cookie dough war!"

"Oh it's on!" I said and with that we ran to the room and explained why we were late. Luckily Mrs. Johnson was really nice and understood. We sat down at a station and set to work making the dough. At the end of class I had blue icing on my nose and Annabeth had chocolate chips in her hair. The teacher let the class out early in order to get cleaned up. Annabeth and I walked out of the class hand in hand until we got the bathroom. I kissed her on the forehead and headed into the boys bathroom. I washed my face and excited the bathroom just as Annabeth ran out. I ran after her. "Annabeth!" She turned around as ran into my arms.

"Hey, hey what's wrong?" I asked. She stopped crying and sniffled.

"Do you love me?" She asked looking up at me. I was so startled I didn't say anything for a minute.

"Of course I love you, you are everything to me. But I have to ask, why would you think I didn't?" I said.

"Nothing, I just wanted to know."

"Annabeth tell me." She shook her head and I stared at her until she gave in.

"Carly was in the bathroom and said that you didn't love me and...and that you deserved better." I was about to say something when she kept going. "I've always known you deserved better, I just don't know why you didn't find someone better, you could have anyone and you keep me. I...." I stopped her there with a kiss. I pulled back and ran my hand through her hair.

"You are the best, I wouldn't want anyone else and to be honest I always say that to myself, you could have any guy in the world but you stay with me. But I'm glad you chose me because I couldn't imagine my life without you." She looked at me in amazement, "you really think that?" She asked softly. "No, I know that." She looked at me and smiled.

"Your so cheesy!" She exclaimed.

"I know but you love me." I said

"That's one thing that you are right on." She said.
