Chapter 2
Annabeth POV

I woke up at 7:15, five minutes ahead of my alarm. I sat up straight in my bed and smiled to myself. I get to see Percy today. I looked outside at the already busy streets of NYC it was a lot different from California. Until 3 days ago I had gone to Bryant's Academy and now I will go to Goode High School with Kelp Head. I got out of bed and washed my face. I threw on some light wash jeans and my favorite grey over sweatshirt that had dark purple owls all over it, underneath I had a thick strap purple tank top. I slipped on a pair of grey converse and my silver leather jacket. I walked downstairs and made myself a bowl of Cheerios and poured myself orange juice. By then it was 7:45 and it took about ten minutes from here to the school. I ran upstairs and brushed my teeth as quietly as I could. I wasn't so lucky though, when I went to put my toothbrush away it fell hitting to sink and setting off a loud clang! Bobby walked out with his hair tousled and his eyes half opened. " Hey Bobby, it's fine just go back to bed." He looked at me and breathed out "ok" and walked back to his room. I slipped out of the house with my keys and turned the ignition on in my tiny buggy. I pulled out if the garage and made my way to school. I turned on the radio and listened to some country songs until I got to the school. I stopped to car and took the keys out. I walked out and started towards the building. I stopped by the main office but before I could ask for my schedule a Hellhound disintegrated and I knew exactly where Percy was.
After that I asked for my information for the year and made my way to my locker, I stopped a few feet away from my locker because there he was. I could only see his back but he had on some jeans and a green shirt with some gold monster dust still visible on his tee. He started walking away towards the english room. Yesss!! I thought we both have english. I put some stuff in my locker and then made my way to the English room. On my way there every girl stood there staring at me and sizing me up like they were trying to tell which way to bring me down. Ya right I though, like they could take me down. I walked into the room and Paul saw me, I put my finger to my lip and he smiled. I snuck around Percy and sat in the back. "Percy will you sit in the front today?" It was more of a statement than a question. Percy looked puzzled but did what Mr.Blofis said and with that the day started.
I had decided to reveal myself at lunch. I had been able to avoid him all day and thankfully we didn't have to take attendance. Finally it was lunch. I grabbed my bag out of my locker. (I've had bad experiences with school lunches.) I walked into the cafeteria and saw Percy's back, I walked up to him and poked him on his Achilles heel. "Percy!!" I squealed in a really high voice. He stiffened, "Carly I told you yesterday, no I won't be your boyfriend!" What?!? I thought, what girl is trying to be MY boyfriends girlfriend? He spun around and his face showed it all. First confusion then surprise and finally overwhelming joy. "Annabeth?!" He asked. I gave him my flirty smile,"Heyy Perce!" He picked me up and whirled me around. After about a minute of that he set me down and kissed me. It was a short little kiss but it was perfect. I heard a cough from where he was sitting and we both turned to see 2 very shocked people. Percy laughed at their expressions. He sat down and I sat next to him. "Annabeth this is Jeremy, my best friend and co captain on the swim team and his girlfriend Caitlyn." "Hi" I said. They smiled weakly. I whispered in Percy's ear "What's wrong, do I have something on my face." I said worriedly. He laughed at my expression, "No your perfect." I blushed a deep crimson. Then I felt a a hand and a few nails in my shoulder blade. I whirled around, "Excuse me would you like something?" I said angrily. Before me there was a girl with a mini skirt that went just below her underwear line, gross! She also had a orange spray tan, with spaghetti strap tank top that showed way too much cleavage, fake nails and enough makeup to last me a year. "What are you doing with my boyfriend?" She said in such a high pitch I'm pretty sure a window broke. "Your boyfriend?!" I asked angrily, "You heard me right!" She squealed. Percy wrapped his hand around mine and squeezed it. I looked at him. He looked at me tiredly, "For the last time, Carly I AM NOT YOUR BOYFRIEND!!" He spat the last few words at her. She looked ready to murder someone. "You say that now but you will be mine when this is over." And with that she stalked away in 5' inch heels, followed by her posse. I huffed and Percy wrapped me in a hug. "Don't worry WiseGirl I won't leave you." I looked into his sea green eyes and knew he was telling the truth. "I know..I...I...just don't want to lose you." He looked in my eyes, "I will never leave you I swear." I sighed and leaned into his chest. "I love you Seaweed Brain" I murmured. "I love you too." He said and with that we ate our lunch and before I knew it the bell had rung for the last period of the day and I was on my home.
