I came back from school today looking pale and with so much burdens on my shoulder.
I felt so overwhelmed about school and stressed at the same time.

The thought of Lucy and her friends and the cute jerk I just met today were all just too stressful to think about and too much to take in.

I walked in inside the house to hear my moms sweet voice singing from the kitchen.

My mom and I have been distant lately because she has been trying to settle down, and start working again.
Work was like a drug to her.

" honey how was school today, hope it wasn't too stressful?" she asked while busy arranging some cutleries in the kitchen ,then she dried her hands and headed towards to the door as I walked in.
Just coming back from school.

"Fine mom"

" so how's things with you and Emma, you should invite her over sometimes Darling. You're too lonely in this house."

The last time my mom and I spoke about school was my first day in school when I told her about Emma.

" she's fine ok?. .....And you should be more concerned about yourself. You've been working too much this days mom, am worried about you".

I said in a sad and cold tone that touched her.

"Aww ....honey am fine, you know what, we've been so distant lately. How about we go out for dinner tonight and catch up on things. What do you think? "

"Sounds great mom, I'd really love that" I said giving her a sweet smile and she smiled back at me still wiping her hands with the kitchen towel.

Ding dong!!!!!

It was our door bell.
It was kinda strange because we were not expecting anyone.

We haven't even met the neighbours around here.

Mom and i looked at each other in suspicion before I headed to the door and she went back to the kitchen.

At the door, it was a nice, beautiful looking lady, She was probably in her late 30's I guessed.

In a few moments, my mom joined me at the door.

" hi, am Mr.s Williams. I live just opposite next door. Just thought it would be nice to welcome our new neighbors. Hope you like it here?"

She said offering a baked pie. My mom extended her hands and collected it and thanked her. She introduced us to her to

"It was nice meeting you Mr.s Williams.
And It such a nice and big house you got there. Do you live Alone"
mom asked with curiosity, thinking she might have been a lonely old lady.

" oh, no no no. I live with my son. But he doesn't like to stay here sometimes. He'll be back tomorrow from he's father's place and hopefully you guys can get to meet him.
Am sure you guys would make greàt friends. ..he's a very smart guy am sure you two will get along just fine. " she said while facing me. And winked with a sweet smile at me.
My mom nodded as we all exchange our goodbye wishes and she left.

Dinner with mom tonight was fun. She told me all the things she has done so far and I told her everything that has happened yet in my new school.

I caught her attention more when I mentioned something about a cute rude guy. She teased me a bit and later advised me to be careful and stay away from boys. Focus on your studies and remember your future plans and what your dad would have want.

I've heard all that before like a million times but she was right though. I've promised my dad that I'll continue to work hard and get into one of the most prestigious colleges in England..... Probably oxford.

It was 7:45 in the morning.
And I did my usual preparation for school.

My mom and I headed outside to the car after I was done preparing.

I decided to take a better look at Mr.s Williams home. The house was really beautiful and big. It almost looked like a hotel.

Suddenly a car stopped right in front of it and I waited to see who it was. Maybe it might be the son she talked about last night.

The front door of the car opened and a young looking guy walked out of it wearing glasses.

I couldn't see him well from the distance I was standing so I decided to walk to the other side of moms car to take a better look.

He ..he looked familiar.
I though to myself as I leaned closer for a better view.
I could not believe my eyes.

" was that not Jason that I just saw? What could he be doing in a place like this. What/ who was he looking for there." my mind was filled with thoughts.

As he came out of the car he stood straight looking around. He looked in my direction and our gaze met.

It was a long stare. And he didn't look so happy seeing me here.

My heart was beating so fast, I was speechless and my body was filled with chills and gooseboms.

I watched as he opened his boot and a woman who was dressed like a maid came out and carried his belongings out of it.

The thought finally hit my head. Could he be the guy Mr.s Williams was talking about......... The one and only cute jerk, Mr arrogant.

Mom came outside and hurried me to enter the car so I won't be late.
" well well, that must be Mr.s Williams son, isn't he a cutie"
She said smiling as she noticed him.

OMG, Jason lives just opposite my house. I am crazy freaking out now. He hates me, he hates most girls actually. He treats them as if they didn't matter or something like that.

I wonder how we're going to get along. Hopefully we could become friends.

what if he never opens up to me.
