~Min-hee~

She didn't even know what to do. Her heart was racing, her stomach was full of an absolute explosion of butterflies. She couldn't even begin to believe that Tao's soft lips were on hers, that he was holding her so tight. Everything felt like a dream, she almost forgot about Xiumin. When Tao pulled her backwards, she forgot completely.

Tao groaned and stopped kissing her. "Do you not like me or something?" He asked.

Min-hee blinked. Of course she did! She had spent all this time thinking he didn't like her the same way, that she was just a toy while his girlfriend was being a b*tch. "I...I do." She said, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear.

"Then why don't you kiss me back?" He asked, voice quiet. His expression almost blank except for a slight pout on his lips. "Am I not good enough?"

Min-hee swallowed. Tao was perfect. It wasn't him that was the problem, it was her. Min-hee was too much of an idiot, too much of that little girl that no one asked to the prom, she didn't know how to kiss him back. She didn't want to just tell him that, but...it looked like she'd hurt his feelings by not doing it. "I've never really...kissed anyone before..." She said quietly matching his tone.

Tao laughed. Min-hee liked the way he laughed, it was so cute, if it was possible, he looked even more gorgeous, and his smile sent butterflies swirling all around her stomach again, especially since she was basically on top of him. Min-hee blushed dark pink.

Tao leaned toward her ear, and each breath tickled her ear and made her heart feel like it was about to burst. "Do you want me to teach you?" Tao asked slowly, his voice like a melody to her ears. Tao sat up with her on his lap. "I want you to enjoy it."

She felt like she was going to have a heart attack. It was hard to look in his eyes. God, why did he have to be so cute? And so flirty too? Min-hee put her hands to her cheeks to hide her blush.

"Are your cheeks hot? You shouldn't cover them then, it's bad for circulation." Tao said with a chuckle.

"Stop...!" Min-hee whined, gently hitting his chest.

"Stop what? What's wrong, Min-hee? You're so warm." He put his forehead to hers, staring into her eyes. "You don't have a fever..." He whispered.

"Tao...!" She whined again, covering her eyes so she wouldn't be locked into his stare.

"Oh, I know, you just need a kiss. A kiss from a prince, right? Will I do? Even though I'm just a pauper?" He said, and she felt his hand run through her hair and his lips kissing her hand.

"T-Tao..." Min-hee started. She couldn't help the stutter. Her heart was just about pounding against her ribcage, she was almost scared he'd hear it, that he'd feel it. It was beating out such a frantic unsteady rhythm, even though when he spoke it would stop for a millisecond, it would come back beating faster then before.

Tao got quiet. Just completely silent. So Min-hee lowered her hands to see if he was upset. He wasn't. As soon as she lowered her hands, he kissed her lips, softly, tenderly. Then his hand reached for hers, lacing his fingers between hers.

"I'm never going to let anyone hurt you again, okay?" Tao whispered. "I'm going to protect you, You don't get a choice. You're staying here with me."

Min-hee nodded. She wanted nothing more then for Tao to always be around her, she didn't want him to disappear for days again. "There are plenty of rooms here I guess."

Tao shook his head, surprising her. "I want you to stay here with me." Seeing Min-hee's eyes widen and her cheeks get so red and hot it was ridiculous, he continued. "Damn...It's not like I'm going to...do anything." He ran a hand through his blonde hair, "I just...You stupid dork, I just want to hold you, I thought you were dead a minute ago."

Min-hee looked up him--more specifically, his eyes. His eyes had been shifting through a lot of emotion, but now they had worry and sadness. Min-hee felt bad for making him worry. "I'm sorry..."

Tao rolled his eyes. "It's my damn fault, Min-hee, you don't have to be sorry."

Min-hee pushed her glasses up, that was a nice thought, that she hadn't just totally waltzed into that trap and been absolutely defenseless, and pathetic. "But I let it happen, I wasn't careful and--."

Her phone rang, playing a cute melody which seemed completely out of place. Tao smirked, obviously finding her choice in ringtone amusing. She answered it, just to make the ringing stop.

"Hello?" She asked, trying not to sound like she didn't really want to talk, though, really, she didn't.

"It's 3 f*cking AM right now, Min-hee, and you just casually answer your phone after your Grandma gives me a half screaming emergency call about how you're with some gangster and claims you've been kidnapped and held for some kind of invisible ransom." Jaemin's voice said over the phone. "Your Grandma woke me up, okay? Woke. Me. Up. Sleep is very damn important to me, and it turns out you just casually answer."

Min-hee's eyes widened, she knew exactly how important sleep was to Jaemin. Not letting Jaemin sleep was like just letting a tornado happen, no preparation or running, just standing there, waiting for it to hit you. He got very upset very fast. Really, if something woke him up, he woke up pissed off. "Oh, Jaemin, I'm so sorry! Grandma didn't call the police or anything yet, did she?"

Tao had said so very specifically not to call the police, and Min-hee had tried to make it clear to her Grandma, but she hadn't told her why, so she might not realize how big of a deal it was. These creeps could come after her. use her as leverage.

Jaemin sighed over the receiver. "No, she asked me to call you first, though, she might have gotten excited and hit the panic button. Seriously, Min-hee, I could just slap you so silly right now."

Min-hee watched as Tao got up, taking off his suit jacket. "I'll make it up to you somehow, Jaemin, I promise, I'll buy you food, okay? I'll take the gang out for lunch, on me, and you can eat as much as you want."

"Damn right, and not some low class place either, you are going to splurge, Min-hee, like never before in your whole life, you can kiss your wallet goodbye."

"I know." Min-hee started, Tao had hung up the jacket in the closet and was coming back toward her. "I'll look up a place in the morning, okay? What kind do you wa--?" Min-hee was interrupted by her own giggling. Tao had picked her up, and Min-hee was kind of ticklish, and the electricity from his touch didn't help.

"What the hell are you giggling about? We're talking about food here, Min-hee, it isn't funny." Jaemin said, though the tone of his voice wasn't really all that upset.

"I know, I know. But what do you want? Like noodles, beef, ch--." Min-hee interrupted herself again. Tao had set her down on his bed. She mouthed a quick, 'What are you doing?' to him. Tao just smiled.

"Oh my god. Min-hee, are you with someone?" Jaemin asked. "I don't think I even want to know, but it's that guy isn't it? Ice-cream-guy-who-has-friends-without-morals-and-picks-fights?"

"Um...yeah?" Min-hee said, watching Tao take her sneakers off. She wished he'd just say what he was doing, she was scared of what it might be.

"Yikes. Okay, I'm hanging up, we can resume this tomorrow. And uh...Remember to be safe, and careful and you know..." Jaemin said, and Min-hee could feel how awkward he felt over the phone.

"Jaemin...! It's not like that." She said, intently watching as Tao took his own shoes off, before sitting on the bed next to her.

"Yeah, sure, it's okay, Min-hee, really, It's part of...something. Anyway, sorry for interrupting...whatever it is. Bye."

"Bye." Min-hee said back, not feeling like trying to explain it to him.

She put her phone on his nightstand. Then dared a glance at Tao. He was just looking at her for a moment, then his arms wrapped around her waist, he leaned into her so much she ended up falling sideways, her head hitting his pillow.

"Tao?" She asked, half scared of what he had in mind. What if he wanted to...?

Tao kept his arms around her waist, laying behind her. "Yeah?" He squeezed her middle gently.

Min-hee cleared her throat. "You...You're not going to try to do anything...dirty, right?"

Tao was quiet for a second. "No. I just want to hold you, I told you. You know, just..." He stopped, sighing.

Min-hee turned so she faced him. Her face was probably red as a beet, but she wrapped her arms around him too. She was nervous about this whole thing to be honest, she'd never really done anything romantic with anyone before, she'd been that library mouse that didn't have time for this kind of thing. "Yeah, okay."

Tao smirked. "'Yeah, ok'." he repeated.

Min-hee yawned. It was late, she was very tired, she felt like she could sleep for days.

"You're tired? I'll sing you to sleep, I've heard my voice is very relaxing." Tao said before yawning himself.

And he was right, his voice was very relaxing. He sung in Chinese, and Min-hee didn't know much of Chinese, but it still sounded beautiful, his voice was like the moon's glow put into sound, like heaven. Baekhyun was right, his voice was something to fall for.

She was asleep in less then 10 minutes. But then came the nightmares. The nightmares about Xiumin, the thought that he was just waiting outside the door, waiting to hurt Tao. She should have told him more about Xiumin before she fell asleep, but she'd forgotten. And now it plagued her all throughout her dreams. She wished she could forget the whole thing.
