Chapter 36
O P H E L I A ' S P O V
"Do we have to leave tonight?" I sighed unhappily. These past few days alone with Levi had been pure heaven. Not having to worry about work or making breakfast in the morning. Despite the fact that we had a cook back at home, here, my breakfast was always brought to me in bed.
I blushed at my thoughts. Home. Did I think of Levi's house as my home?
"Unfortunately, we do," Levi grumbled childishly. "I'd love to stay another week if I could, but I don't want my files to pile up even more that by the time we do choose to go back, I'm at work all day and night and don't have enough time for you," He said frustratingly as he rubbed his temple.
I took a deep breath and nodded in understanding as I cuddled closer to Levi's body. Today had been full of activities. We went to the beach for an hour and a half, we played pool, tried the Jacuzzi, watched television, and now here we were, at 5 PM, lying in bed.
My fingers traced his chest and then moved to his arm. "I like your tattoos," I murmured thoughtfully as I followed the pattern of the flowers. "When'd you get them?" I asked curiously.
He shrugged, "All at different ages. The first one at eighteen. Two others at 22, then completed my sleeve a year ago." He explained.
I threw my leg around his waist, engulfing the heat that he brought me. "Wow," I said in amazement. "Did they hurt?" I finally craned my neck to look at him. He looked down at me and smiled softly, placing a short kiss on my lips.
"They stung a little, it wasn't bad." He mentioned as he looked at the ceiling, the hand around my body tracing slow, rhythmic patterns on my bare skin.
"I want a tattoo," I said excitedly as I pushed myself up on my elbows to look at him.
His eyes snapped up to me, his hand reaching out to tuck my fallen hair behind my ear, "You're not putting any marks on your beautiful skin," He frowned suddenly.
"But you did it," I whined. "Not a big one, just a little bird, or a flower or something," I sighed.
"That's different, okay?" He huffed out as he looked away from me. He seemed frustrated, but for some reason, I knew it wasn't because of me.
"Are- Are you okay?" I sat up straighter, resting my hand on his cheek. "You seem troubled," I frowned.
He gritted his teeth, "It's nothing," He said. "We'll talk about it when we get back," He finalised.
I formed my lips in a thin line as he disregarded me, "You're going to tell me now," I said. "Whenever something's wrong with me, you want to bring down God and his angels that you're going to find out what's wrong, and now you don't want to tell me what's wrong with you?"
His eyes studied me as I straightened my posture, gazing down at him.
He seemed to be contemplating on if he should stick to his word and tell me when we get back, or listen to me and tell me now.
Suddenly he dropped the bomb.
"I don't want you working anymore," He said firmly, sitting up and grabbing a shirt, throwing it over his head.
"W-What?" I said as I wrapped the sheet tightly around my chest.
He walked over the dresser, leaning on it with his hands across his chest.
"You heard me," He stated. "I don't want you working anymore."
My lips turned down, "So what? You expect me to just sit home and what? Find a hobby and let you do everything?" I knew that my job didn't allow me to do much around the house, but if groceries were needed, I'd buy them and help out the best I could.
"Ophelia," He pinched the bridge of his nose. "I don't expect you to just sit home and do nothing, that's what I want to talk to you about," He sighed.
I sat and waited for him to continue. What did he mean?
"I want you to go to college as soon as we get back," He said.
I froze, my eyes widening a fraction. "No!" I shouted loudly, my arm momentarily letting go of the sheet around my chest, revealing my breasts to his wandering eyes.
His eyes immediately travel to my exposed goodies, where he stays for a moment before shaking his head swiftly to rid his head of his thoughts.
"What? Why?" He asked.
I breathed heavily, "Y-You can't do that. That's the only thing that I get to do by m-myself." I cried. Everything else he had done for me. He had given me a place to live, a place to sleep, food to eat, everything you could think of and now he was still insisting to put me through college? I wouldn't allow it. This wasn't about me being stubborn or not accepting his help; it just seemed like too much.
"I understand that you want to do it by yourself, Ophelia, but you can't. At this rate, you'd go to college by the time you're 35, then achieve your dreams at 50. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that but I refuse to have you in that situation, especially when I have more than enough ability to help." He explained, walking closer to me and resting a hand on my cheek.
I bit my lip. Why was Levi so good to me? Why did I deserve this? I couldn't help to think that maybe I did deserve this. Maybe this was my break, and I wouldn't get another opportunity like this and I wasn't talking just about college, I meant love...
because with how he was looking at me, I knew I loved him.
I cried silently, "When am I going to wake up from this dream?" I muttered softly, leaning into his touch.
He smiled softly at my response, his white teeth showing, "You aren't."
-------------
"Oh, my baby!" Shalissa screamed. She gasped quietly when she saw me walk through the door, "And you're glowing! You're not pregnant, are you?" She frowned suddenly.
I blushed and embraced her in a hug, "No, Shalissa." I mumbled.
She smiled, "Elijah! Come, they're here!" She shouted loudly.
Levi suddenly entered, holding all of our bags, sighing when he saw both Shalissa and his brother in his house.
"Why am I not surprised to see you two at my house? Can't a man get a little privacy?" He grumbled as he helped me shrug off my coat.
Elijah chuckled at his brother's demeanour, outstretching his hands to hug me to which I complied.
"I hope Leviathan took good care of my angel," He mused.
Levi turned around and shot his brother a glare. "He always treats me good, Elijah," I intervened.
Elijah smiled, "I know, I'm just teasing."
Shalissa rolled her eyes at our exchange, "Come on, let's go Elijah. Give the couple some privacy." She mused.
I waved at them as they left, both of them shutting the door after waving back and saying their goodbyes.
I sighed softly. I was back here. I haven't been here for two weeks and I even wondered if my room was still available or if he had renovated it for someone else.
I froze as I felt arms wrapping around my waist, "You okay?" He asked me.
I felt myself loosening up as I gently leaned back in his hold, wrapping my arms around his own, "Yeah..." I sighed.
He spun me around, silently swaying our bodies in the silence, "It's best we start looking for colleges now. I have a few friends that'll accept you in no time." He said.
I frowned, wrapping my arms around his neck, "Is that even legal?" I asked. "Accepting me without knowing my grades or anything?"
He shrugged, "I can pull a few strings. I'll make a few calls today, get my men on a couple of projects like sorting out your documents and by next Monday, the start of the semester, everything should be good and you should be going to school-"
"L-Like actually go to school?" I stuttered. "I-I thought that it'd be online classes."
He sighed, "I just think that being around people would be good for you. Maybe you could make some friends," He explained.
"I didn't know if you have realised, but I'm not the most social person. I become a stuttering freak," I look down embarrassingly.
"That's not true," He said firmly, leaving no room for discussion. "I'll deal with everything, okay? We have to get you more clothes and shoes for Monday. Now go and unpack," He ordered. I reluctantly headed for the stairs after nodding my head.
"Oh, and Ophelia?" He called out just as I reached the first step. "My bedroom," He growled.
-------------
Levi's tongue immediately entered my mouth after just moments of kissing, his hands making a trail down to my legs.
"Still sore?" He whispered huskily next to my ear.
I didn't know how it happened, but somehow, Levi and I ended up in his bed in the current situation that we are in now.
It was the second time that I had ever entered his bedroom, and I almost forgot how heavenly the bed felt.
I was, in fact, still sore, which I didn't really understand why it was lasting so long. I could thank Levi for that and the beast between his legs.
I spoke against his lips, "Yeah, but does it matter?" I breathed out, tugging on his hair as his lips travelled to my neck.
He let out an animalistic noise, spreading my legs open roughly before swiftly discarding himself of his jeans and rolling on a condom.
"I'll still go slow, okay?" He said, a huge strain in his voice.
I nodded my head eagerly, biting my lip as he slipped inside of my aching core, his lips sucking on the skin of my neck.
It still hurt, but the pain wasn't excruciatingly painful like the first time.
Just like the last time, Levi only entered me half-way before withdrawing, and I felt upset that he wasn't receiving all that he was capable of just because of the pain that I was still experiencing.
Moments passed of Levi's harsh grunting and my silent moans at his slow, steady pace. It didn't take long before I felt the familiar build-up in my lower stomach which had me panting loudly and holding onto Levi's shoulders for dear life.
He was mumbling incoherent sentences and curses beneath his breath with each thrust that he made, the sweat causing his hair to stick onto his forehead.
Within a short time period, my back arched off of the bed, my entire body convulsing and trembling as I gripped onto the sheets, unholy sounds coming out of my throat.
Levi kissed me roughly, sucking on my tongue and swallowing my moans as I felt my release last for at least a full minute.
It was still a while before I felt Levi's body begin to stiffen and for his muscles to tense before he locked his jaw incredibly tight, spilling his seed into the rubber.
He rolled off of me in an instant, lying on his back again and running his hands down his face.
"I think I'm having a heart attack," He mumbled as his fingers lightly placed pressure on the middle of his chest.
I giggled tiredly, wrapping my arms around his waist.
We just had sex in broad daylight.
