Chapter 14
"Okay girls, so we're going to do two different pranks. The first one is really easy, we're going to cover Chad and Fallon's entire bedroom with glow-in-the-dark google eyes," I say mischievously. The girls laugh, as we head down the hall. Now this room is pretty big, we're going to need backup.
I text the plan to everybody, except Chad. Fallon and Caleb are going to distract him, while the rest of us focus on the room.
Minutes later, everybody joins us upstairs. Everybody has their own bag of eyes, and we stick them on everything.
"Alex, you're a genius, an evil genius!" Joey exclaims, while sticking eyes to the pillows. "He's gonna be scared out of his mind," Alan says. We all laugh picturing that image.
Soon, we're done, and we close the door behind us. "We just have to keep him out of there until he goes to bed," Kelsey says. Brycie nods, "That's going to be the hard part."
"Guys, want to help me with one more prank?" I ask them. Everybody nods, "What is it?" Joey asks. I smirk, "I want to put slippery soap on the bathroom floor."
"Alex," Alan says, "you're one evil genius!" I smile, "I've actually got some soap, it just has to be put on the floor."
Alan and Kelsey head off to do that, and the rest of us downstairs. Fallon and Caleb are distracting Chad by playing Candy Land.
"Hey Chaddy," I greet him. He looks up from his game, "Hi Alex." I sit on his knee that's sticking out the side on the table.
"What's up?" He asks me, moving his piece, the green gingerbread man. I shake my head, "Nothing." He rolls his eyes, "Than why are you sitting on me?"
"Then," Caleb quickly corrects him. I shrug my shoulders, "I don't know, there wasn't another chair." He grins, "You always have a good excuse."
"I win!" Fallon exclaims, moving the yellow gingerbread man to the end. "That's unfair! I was gonna win!" Caleb pouts. Chad glares at Fallon, "You couldn't even let me win once."
Fallon laughs at them and does a victory dance. "Oh yeah, I won, I won, I won!" She sings. Presley and AJ giggle, trying to copy her crazy dance moves. Alan and Kelsey sneak downstairs at this time, and pretend they were here the whole time.
"Well, we're all gonna go. Have a fun night!" Alan says, as him and his family leave. The girls giggle as they follow their parents out the door.
Joey, Caleb, and Kelsey decide to leave too. "What should we do now?" I wonder aloud. "We're going to the bowling alley," Chad says.
"Let me go get my phone!" I exclaim dashing upstairs. Chad follows but he goes into the bathroom, in there he falls on his face.
"Alex! Not funny!" He calls out. "Huh? Cuz I'm laughing!" I exclaim. He chases me downstairs, screaming about how evil I am.
He finally catches me, and picks me up. "Chadwick, put me down," I struggle. "Struggling will only make it worse," he bluntly points out.
He holds me in his grasp for a good 10 minutes, then decides we should be going. We get in the car, and Chad drives to a bowling alley.
He gets us a lane, and we all put on bowling shoes. We each pick out a different colored ball. Chad gets green, Fallon gets pink, and I get a blue one.
Chad makes a big deal about entering funny nicknames for us. His is 'Pin Crusher', Fallon's is 'Strike Magnet', and mine is 'Gutter Ball.'
I go first, and soon they all find out, that I'm not a gutter ball. I got a strike.
"Woah! That was awesome!" Chad exclaims. I bow, "Thank you! Hold your applause!" Fallon giggles and picks up her ball.
We play about three games, and then we stop and walk over to the arcade section.
"Let's do the bumper cars!" I exclaim. Everybody rushes to pick their car color.
Chad rushes over to a little boy who took the last green car. "Hey buddy! Wouldn't you rather have an orange car?" Chad asks him. He shakes his head, "Green is my favorite."
Chad sighs, and climbs into the orange car. I notice throughout our ride, Chad runs into that kid as much as he can.
We play a few of the arcade games, then present all our tickets to the prize people.
Chad and Fallon agree to let me pick something, so I pick a huge panda. Squeezing my panda tight, I climb into the car.
"That was fun!" I exclaim, buckling my seatbelt. "Glad you had fun!" Fallon exclaims. Chad rolls his eyes, "That kid ruined my evening."
I giggle, as he pulls into his driveway. We all walk upstairs, and enter our bedrooms.
A childish scream comes from Chad and Fallon's room. I laugh, realizing that Chad has found our prank.
"Alex, honey?" He asks through my closed door. I answer it, "Yes Chad?"
"Why is my bedroom covered in eyeballs?" He calmly asks. I giggle, "Presley, AJ, and I wanted to prank you."
He crosses his arms across his chest, "This isn't a funny prank! You scared me!" I laugh, "Uh, isn't that the point of pranks?!"
He rolls his eyes, "I'm so going to get you later." I fold my arms across my chest, "Fat chance."
I close the door, and change into some pajamas. I put my dirty clothes in the hamper, and head back to my room.
I get under my blankets, and turn on the TV. Some Full House is on. I watch it for a while.
"Alex," Fallon knocks at the door. "Come in," I answer her. She opens the door, and sits next to me on the bed.
"Just wanted to tell you good night," she says. I smile, "Well, good night." She laughs, "Sleep well, Alex, if you need anything you know where we are." I nod, and smile as she leaves again.
I finish the episode I was watching, then turn the TV off. The police took Matt away, I can sleep in peace tonight. I close my eyes, and happily drift into dreamland.
