"Ahh!"

Five

I took in a deep breath as I seathed my sword and adjusted my mask. I looked back at the fifth ghoul I killed. And again, none had information on the eyepatch. My phone went off and I groaned as I took it out to see that Hide was calling.

"Shit." I mumbled.

"Hello?"

"Mira! Hey! What are you doing right now?"

I looked  back to see a ghoul moving, I walked over and stuck my sword through him.

"Oh, nothing important, why what's up?"

"Well, you seemed to enjoy coming to work with me, so how about keeping gme company today?"

I took of my mask and strapped my sword.

"Sure! Sounds like fun."

"Okay, hurry up and get home then."

"Okay, see you in a bit."

"Bye."

"Bye."

I sighed as ran all the way home, once I did I took a quick shower and got dressed and waited for Hide to arrive. The door opened as he walked in.

"Hey. You ready to go?"

"Yep." I said as I jumped up and followed him outside as we mounted our bikes and rode to the CCG.

Hide and I walked around the building handing out packages to the the CCG investigators.

"Hey, thanks. See ya." Hide said as we rounded the corner. Only for him to bump into someone.

"Ah crap, sorry about that sir." Hide said as he bowed. I looked up to see who he bumped into abd stiffened once I did. My eyes widened as I took a step back.

He was the man that saw my face at the Aogiri attack.

Shit! I'm so screwed

"Nagachika, right?" He asked. He didn't seem to notice me.

"Wow. You know my name?"

"I try to learn everyone's. You're not hurt are you?"

"Huh no. Hang on, let me help you sir. Mira could you pick up the ones being you." Hide said as he helped him pick up his papers.

Dammit Hide

It was then that the man looked up at me and his eyes widened as I looked away as if nothing happened. Hide distracted him as he picked up a paper on the eyepatch.

"What's wrong." He said as he took his eyes off of me.

"I was just thinking about this eyepatch guy I've heard a lot about him in the news lately." Hide said as he looked down.

"He must be a pretty scary dude, huh? Well, we better go, sorry about that." Hide said as he tilted his hat

"No problem, you keep up the good work." He said, I kept my gaze down as I walked past him.

~ 3rd person p.o.v ~

Amon watched as Nagachika and the girl walk by, he wasn't certain if she was the White Fox ghoul, until he saw a sword pock out of the bottom of her jacket.

"Nagachika! Do you mind if I question your friend for a bit." Amon said as the two young adults froze. Mira froze as her breath hitched.

"Sure! You got no problem, right Mira?"

God dammit!

She looked up and smiled.

"Sure. No problem!" Mira smiled as she walked over towards Amon, keeping a sharp eye on him.

"Don't worry, she'll be okay. Come on."

Mira followed after him and looked back at Hide who smiled and waved me off. Mira said nothing as she walked behind Amon. The two were quite, as the two rounded the corner Mira looked around for options to escape.

"Don't even think about it." Amon said as he looked down a the small female who stiffened.

"Let's go." He lead her to his office, only for Akira Mado to be waiting there as well.

"This is her?" Akira asked.

"I'm positive." Amon said as he pushed Mira into an interogation room. Mira fell to the floor and jumped up, grabbing her sword. But Amon blocked it with his Quinque.

"Enough! Sit down." Amon said as he knocked her sword out of her hand. And she fell over.

~ Mira's p.o.v ~

Dammit!

I clenched my fist as I bit my bottom lip, I sat up and sat on a chair. Amin and Akira sat across from me. And we said nothing.

"So....we just gonna sit around or..."

"Shut up." Amon said. As eyes widened. I closed my mouth and we waited for some more. Finally the door opened and the antoher man walked in.

"Sorry I'm late Amon."

I knew that voice. It was the other man I fought against after fighting that crazy kid. But I also felt like I've seen him somewhere else around well. My eyes widened in realization as I remembered him.

"It's a ghoul!"

"He's got a girl!"

The CCG ran in as I looked up Hioko. He used his Kagane to block off their attacks.

"Let her go!" A man with brown hair spoke, his hair was oddly formed and he stepped forward.

"Run, Mira." Hioko spoke.

"No." I whimpered.

"Don't look back."

"No." I cried as he pushed me forward and I ran. But I had a sense that told me to look back and I did. I watched as the man with weird brown hair decapitat Hioko and my blue eyes widened as tears ran down my face.

"Hioko!"

I clenched my fist and gritted my teeth as he took and seat. All three looked at me.

"So your the White Fox?" Shinohara asked.

"But she's human." Akira said.

"I know. She helps the ghouls, she was there at the Aogiri attack awhile back. But I first encountered her when she randomly attacked Investigator Mado and I." Amon explained.

Shinohara and Akira said nothing as they stared at me.

"Why are you helping the ghouls?" Shinohara asked. But I said nothing.

"He asked you a question. I suggest you answer." Akira said. But I kept my head down as my tears began to shed. Amon slammed files onto the table, causing me to flinch.

"Look up." Amon said.

For a moment I refused. But after awhile I raised my head. And their eyes widened as they saw tears run down my face.

"Why are you crying!? Your a murderer! You've took innocent investigators lives." Akira said. As more tears ran down my face.

"Where's the eyepatch? You work with ghouls, surely you know his location." Shinohara asked.

"I-i don't know." I whispered.

"You must know if you were trying to save him."

"I said I don't know!" I yelled, causing them to flinch.

"I don't know." I cried as I placed my face into my hands. I let out a laugh as I rubbed my eyes and looked up the investigators.

"What's so funny?" Amon asked.

"The fact you think you know everything about me."

They said nothing as I laughed.

"I kill investigators that needed to be killed."

"No investigator needs to be killed!" Akira said.

"Your wrong. Ghouls. There just like us, they just want ands normal life, not all ghouls are bad! They have their own families, they just want to live and sly normal life like us!....and I don't just kill investigators, I kill ghouls as well. But I kill the ones that need to be killed, unlike you, who kill any ghoul they see no matter of their a child, you show no mercy." I said as I looked down at my hands, thinking of Hioko.

"Tell me. Why are you so protective of ghouls?" Shinohara asked.

"After my town was attacked by the ghouls, I lost my parents. I was no loser then 8. I thought I was alone, but then I met Hioko. He was a ghoul, but he wanted to protect me. He taught me how to fight and to read and write. He taught me about different ghouls and how to tell the difference between a ghoul snd human." I said as I looked down and clenched my fist as tears ran downy face.

"He may have been a ghoul bur he was all I had. And I loved him." I cried.

For a moment I could feel all of their eyes on me.

"But when I was 12 he was taken away from me." I whispered as I looked up at Shinohara and my gaze hardened.

"He just save me from a group of ghouls and I was in fear. Then the CCG came and they thought he was attacking me. He told me to run and not look back, and I did, but I looked back just in time to see who killed Hioko."

"Run Mira."

A flash of Hioko smiling went through my mind as I stood up.

"And it was you! Investigator Shinohara!" I yelled as I slammed my fist onto the table. Shinohara's eyes widened widened as he looked at me.

"You're that little girl."

"You took all I had left away from me! And because of that I learned to loath the CCG with all of my heart. I hated them. I hate you." I said as I slide back into my chair, crying. Shinohara and Akira said nothing as they got up and left. Leaving Amon and I. I could feel his stares on me as I cried. The door opened Akira and Shinohara walked back in.

"You can go." Shinohara said as I looked up.

"What?" Amon asked.

"I said that she can go. We just need to keep a close eye one her." Shinohara said as I got up. Amon glared at mea as I pushed past then snd walked out, wiping my tears away. And I walked out to search for Hide.
