I slowly woke up from the bed that I slept in at Anteiku. I groaned as I lifted up the sheets, I lifted up my shirt to see my torso wrapped up. The pain was unbearable, but I had to get up, today, I decided to go back to school. So I slowly roll out of bed, steading myself on the bookshelf as I did so. I then slowly limped to the closet. There I slipped on a pair of leggings and and oversized black sweater, along with a pair of comfy boots. I then threw my black hair into a messy bun and slipped on my glasses. I bent down slowly and picked up my bag and phone before slowly opening the door and walking out. I took my time walking down the stairs, clutching onto the rail as I made my way down.

I make it to the bottom of the stairs and open to door only to see Kankei, Irima and Komo preparing to open up the shop. As I walked out they all stopped and looked over at me.

"Mira? Why are you up?" Kaneki asked as he walked over.

"Going to school, I've missed one two many days, and I refuse to miss another."

"Kid, you need to rest, after yesterday's stunt."

I groaned as I shuffled over to the counter. And gave them pleading eyes.

"Please, I promise to be careful."

Irima looked at me before sighing and setting down a cup.

"Fine, you can go..."

"Yes!"

"But! Kaneki has to walk you there, for safety procautions."

"Really? I'm not 12."

"Yes. Now go, and take care of her Kaneki."

Eyepatch nodded as I took off his apron and slipped on his blue jacket before leading me to the door. I groaned as we walked outside and in the direction of Kami University. Once we got to the light I stopped.

"Okay, I can walk from here, you just go somewhere for awhile, and tell Irima that you walked me."

"Uh, I-im sorry Mira, but I am walking you."

I stood there in shook.

"Your kidding me."

He shook his head as he looked at his feet.

"Fine. But don't bother me eyepatch."

He nodded his head in agreement and we countined our walk. It was silent, and I enjoyed it. At least he respected that.

"So, why did you choose Kami?"

Or not

"Because, I heard it was a good school."

"Oh."

"And that there were more ghouls, which meant more kills."

"Oh!?"

And we were silent the rest of the way to the school. Once we reached Kami, I turned to face Kaneki.

"Later eyepatch."

"Yeah, later."

And I took a step and started to walk onto the campus I haven't been on for a good 2 weeks. I sighed as I clutched my books to my chest, I then put in my earbuds and let the music flow to my ears. Drowning out the sound of everyone around me. Which meant that I didn't here the running foot steps heading my way, or the person clinging onto my back, bringing me into a bone crushing hug. I gasped as my earphones fell out and I leaned foreward a bit, causing my hair to come undone, letting the wind whip my black hair across my face, and my glasses fell to the floor. I craned my neck a little bit to see a familer blonde.

"Mira!"

"Hide." I whispered.

He then detached himself from me and took a step back, while rubbing the back of his neck.

"Sorry, it's just, your finally here!"

He bent down and picked up my glasses, dusting them off and handing them to me.

"Here."

"Thanks."

"It's just, I've had no one to hang out with! And now your here, and I won't seem like a total loser!

A smile made its way onto my face, as I let out a giggle. Hide looked at me with a questioning expression, as my giggles turned into laughs. And then I was bent over holding my stomah as I laughed, taking off my glasses and wiping my eyes before I gained control agian.

"Sorry, it just, ha! Is this what you to to Kaneki as well."

"Yeah, kinda."

I let out another laugh as I grabbed my hair and started to tie it into a bun agian.

"Well, it's cute."

I then put my glasses back on and walked past him, bumping my shoulder into his lightly.

"You gonna stand there all day or what?"

He snapped out of his dazed expression and caught up with me, throwing his hands behind his head. We then walked into our fisrt class and I made my way up the stairs and took my seat next to Hide. The professor and every other student noticed my presence and smiled at me.

"It's good to have you back Ms. Hisaki."

"It's good to be back." I said as I gave him a small smile. Hide then scooted closer to me, and tried to explain what I missed out on.

"Nagachika. That won't be necessary, I will help Hisaki when class is over."

Hide sighed as he scooted away and I gave him an apologetic smile. The bell rung and the teacher filled me in on every detail. And then the day went by pretty quickly, Hide and I caught up. And I made my way over to Anteiku.

~ 1 week later ~

I sighed as the week was finally finished and I was free, for tomorrow. A couple of days ago. Kaneki and Touka had killed investigator Mado, and got Hinami back home safely. And I have tried my best to comfort her. And here I am walking back to Anteiku. When I hear a familer voice. I ran in the direction of the voice and peeked into an ally yo see that Amon guy, cornering a defenseless ghoul. I growled as I took out my homemade mask and slipped it on. I then pulled my hood over my head and grabbed my sword out. I creeped over twords the two. Amon, didn't see me, but the other ghoul did, she was pleading for mercy.

"Please, I have a son."

"Your still a monster." Amon growled.

Once the women saw me, I placed my finger over my covered lips. She slightly nodded her head, Amon then began to look over in my direction, so I took action. I dashed out and kicked him in the stomach. I then leaped up a bit and kicked him in the chest, sending him back. I lightly landed on my hands and knees.

"Go."

The mother ghoul got up.

"Thank you."

And jaut like that she ran away. Amon slowly got up and glared up at me.

"You." He growled.

I stood up, my sword at my side as I glared at him. But he would never know, with the fox mask covered my face.

"The fox."

I countined to stay silent, as we had a stare down.

He then held his case by his side, and pressed the button. Aiming for me. I quickly jumped up and dodged his attack. And hit him across his back

"Why."

I then kicked him.

"Do."

I then grabbed the tip of his Quinque and slamming the stick into his stomach.

"You."

I then jumped up and kicked him on as time, making him fall over on his back.

"Hurt innocents!"

I held my foot on his neck, and I then held my sword in front of his face. His eyes widen. As sweat dripped down his face as he let out heavy breahts.

"There not different, there no different from humans! You were going to take away a mother from her own son, just because she's different!"

I then inched my sword closer to him. As I shook my head.

"But I'm not like that."

I pulled my sword back and slowly removed my foot from his neck.

"But unlike you...I don't take people away from their loved ones."

And like that I turned and ran out of the ally, grabbing my bag and shoving my mask into it as I made my way home. Once I got home, I quickly locked my door and sat on my bed. I put my head into my hands and tried to stop myslef from crying. And I did. My head shot up when my phone went off. I picked it up and answered.

"Hello?"

"Mira! Come over to Anteiku."

"Komo? What's going on?"

"Yoshimura told me to call you, we need your help."

"What's happening Komo."

"They took him."

"Who? Who took who?"

"Kaneki. Aogiri took him.

"You mean that strong organization of ghouls? That Aogiri?"

"Yes. Know will you help us?

I sighed as I rolled my eyes and put the phone back to my ear.

"Yeah, I'll, uh, I'll  be right there."

"Great, meet up with Uta outside, and you two will walk in together."

"Got it, see you in a bit."

I grabbed my sword and rushed outside. I meet up with Uta, and together we walked over and waited for Yoshimura to open the door. Also some weird dude with purple hair was with us.

"Oh, I almost forgot."

Uta said as he reached for something.

"I've completed your mask."

He then handed it over and it was so beautiful.

I lightly traced my fingers over it. I then turned towards Uta and smiled.

"It's beautiful. Thank you."

Uta nodded his head.

"Well a beautiful creature goes well with a beautiful girl. Your fire like a fox and can easily entrance your victums."

I gave him another smile and held the mask by my side. Then Yoshimura opened the door.

"And who said we were going alone."

And Uta and I walked in to see Yomo, Komo, Irima, Hinami, Touka and Nishki.

"Uta! Your coming too!" Touka said.

"We'll I can't let anything happen to my client."

She then looks over at the weird dude.

"What are you doing here! I thought we left you for dead."

"I took you advise, and I do taste quit delicious."

"Dude, you are so gross." I said as he smiled at me.

"A human." He simply said. As I inched back.

"Why is she here! She's not even a ghoul." Touka said as she pointed her finger at me.

"We need her help Touka, she's skilled."

"How do you know she just won't betray us."

"Because I'm loyal."

Everyone looks over at me.

"Look, I know I'm not a ghoul. I know I can't heal fast or that I don't have a weapon coming out of me, but I do care for my friends. And since Aogiri thought it would be fun to take Kaneki from us, I'm gonna help you get him back. I'm not asking for forgiveness. All I ask is for your faith in me."

Irima, Komo, Nishki and Yoshimura all smile at me. While the others just eye me down.

"I never thought a human would be so loyal to a ghoul, tell me, what is your relationship with my Kaneki."

"First of all, ew, and second of all, I almost tried to kill him."

He only smiled back.

"It's settled, everyone get ready, we leave when we can. Until then, just be prepared."

We all nodded our heads as we left the room. Aogiri, here we come.
