Crawling out of the pit 

It is deep, it is dark.

And then, you see a spark

It leads you out of this abyss

Into a world of utter bliss

A world where there is no sorrow,

No tears,

And not a sign of any bad tomorrow.

But, your heart still yearns,

For that deep, dark pit

Where no fire burns.

Your mind tells you

To think properly, practically,

And to stay out here, where the sky is blue,

While your heart says, that eventually,

Your mind will take you back to the pit.

And here, you fit.

Listening to the disputes of your heart and mind.
