Shut Up Dylan

Y/n's pov

We walked over to a little area, where there was no one.

Internally I was still freaking out, was I dreaming? Because there was no way I was standing with Thomas Stanley Holland, and making up a plan.

I was basically living the "Y/n life."

Now, the problem was, I had no plan.

The only hope I had was that Tom was smart enough to have already planned something.

"So... do you already have a plan?" I ask.

"Unfortunately no," he said, shaking his head. "I thought no one would recognize me, judging where we are now, that obviously didn't happen..."

I furrowed my eyebrows and started figuring out a plan in my head.

"Oh shoot," I say, remembering I was here with my parents, and it had been at least twenty minutes.

"Y/n, are you okay? What's wrong?" he asked, the look of concern apparent on his face.

"I forgot to tell you," I said, me being a genius, only now remembering I also didn't tell him I was there with my family.

"Forget to tell me what, Y/n?" he asked, his eyes wide.

"So- okay, I'm on vacation here with my family," I explained, nervously fiddling with one of my rings. "But I told them I had some things to take care of, so they would leave me alone."

He nods, "Oh, that's okay, is there a problem with that?"

"No, but the thing is," I had an awkward smile on my face. "that was about twenty minutes ago..."

I quickly pull out my phone and text my mom.

*texts*

y/n
Sorry I'm not back yet

Mom
That's fine, is everything alright?

y/n
I recognized a friend, and I'm talking to them right now
I'll be there in a bit

Mom
That's great, you'll have someone to bug instead of me now

y/n
Thanks, mom

*end of texts*

"So, is everything okay?" Tom asked with his iconic smile, which I can't lie, melted my heart (this is cheesy I know, but I can't control my feelings).

"Yeah, I told my mom I was talking to a friend from school," I said rolling my eyes. "Like I would ever do that."

"Really?" Tom asked, an amused look on his face. "You, Y/n L/n, are unable to talk to someone you already know, but you're willing to come up and talk to me?"

My face flushed in embarrassment.

"Yeah, I guess so," that's when the perfect plan came to mind. "I have a plan."

"What is it?" Tom asked eagerly, a grin on his perfect face.

"Okay, my family is here, right?" I said.

"Yes."

"Well, what if we say you're my cousin from England?" I suggest.

"That's doable," Tom nodded.

"Okay, so we can say your 'parents' are on a long business trip, and couldn't bring you along."

"And my 'parents' don't want me home all by myself."

"Exactly, and they asked my parents to bring you along with us."

"Y/n, you're bloody brilliant," Tom grinned.

A smirk appeared on my face, and in the best Captain America impersonation.

"Language!" and the two of us started laughing.

After I pulled myself together I took a deep breath, "Okay, so, you of course can't be Tom Holland," I said, as he nods. "So, how about Tanner L/n? With L/n as your last name, it'll make it more believable."

"I love that," he grinned. "And what if we have my nickname as Tom because I look- well like me."

"Perfect," I grin as well. "And we can just say you're from London, and you're your own cousin."

Tom seemed distracted, he was just staring at me, which was a first, but we needed to head onto the boat soon.

"Tom?" I ask, and he comes back to reality.

"Sorry," he says, his face flushing. "I was thinking about something, but I think that plan will work perfectly. You get most of the credit."

"Aw, thanks Tommy," I said, then immediately regretting it, as Tom proceeds to start coughing. "Are you okay?" I panicked, I wasn't sure what I did. "Did I say something wrong?"

"Oh no, Y/n," Tom said quickly. "No one has called me 'Tommy' in a long time, it caught me off guard."

"Oh, well sorry, I didn't really think before I said that," I apologized.

"It's okay, I'll let it slide since it's you," Tom said.

"So- can I get a picture?" I asked, and Tom started to freak out again, so I quickly added. "My account is private, only my friends and family will see it, I won't mention anything about the plan, I promise."

Tom nodded, we got the picture, and Tom checked the photo, the caption, my account, and my followers. Once he was comfortable nothing would get out, he handed me my phone back.

"I've now been officially Tom Holland approved," I laughed after I posted the photo.

Tom attempted to glare at me, but he didn't last long, laughing with me after about five seconds. After we stopped laughing, I turned to Tom.

"I guess now we have to introduce the world- er well my parents to Tanner L/n."

Tom nodded, and we went to the ticket area, the two of us were both obviously nervous.

I wasn't sure how my parents were going to react to the fact that I didn't recognize a friend from school. Or, well, I saw someone I recognized, it's just Thomas Stanley Holland, no big deal.

Meanwhile, Tom kept running his hand through his hair, and fidgeting with his hands, until we got through.

I quickly texted my mom for the room number, and told her I was bringing "my friend from school," which made her excited, she didn't even ask for a name, making me slightly suspicious.

We walked to the room.

"I'll go in first," I tell Tom, he nodded, standing out of the way as I unlocked the door and walked in.

"Hi, I'm back," I said.

My parent's grin, "Glad that you made it through without too much trouble," my dad said. "Your mom said you recognize a friend."

"Yeah..." I said slightly trailing off. "That's why I said I had to go to the bathroom."

"It's fine, Y/n," my dad said. "We're just glad you have someone to talk to."

"Y/n said she brought this friend over," my mom said.

"Oh, right, I'll bring him in," I said awkwardly, turning to leave.

Dylan smirked, "Ooh, a boy?" he asked, "Y/n has a boyfriend."

I flushed, not responding, and opened the door, Tom walked in.

"So, uh, that's my mom and dad, and that's my little brother Dylan, or DJ," I say quickly. "And uh, this is Tom, Tom Holland."

"Er-" Tom said, stepping forward. "Hello."

"Hold on," Dylan said, looking back and forth between Tom and I. "Tom Holland? Like the guy who plays Spider-Man? The guy you're obsessed with?"

Tom and I's faces heat up at once.

"Shut up, Dylan," I mutter.

My parents exchanged glances, as though this was not the person they had in mind.

"So, this is your 'friend'?" she asked. "You didn't actually recognize a friend, but it's fine, you two look like you two are good friends now."

Dylan smirked, muttering something that sounded like. "Not for long."

"Haha," I laughed awkwardly. "About that, he's going to pretend to be related to us, don't ask me how that works, but it just does."

My parents and Dylan nodded, and Tom and I proceeded to tell them the plan.

"Hold up," Dylan said after we finished telling them. "This can't be real, Y/n can't be 'besties' with the guy she was obsessed with."

I glared at Dylan, while my parents shook their heads. I turn and see Tom blushing.

He looks adorable when he blushes was the only thought that came to mind at that moment.Y/n you need to stop, you're technically cousins now, was my other thought, not behind closed doors though- Y/n shut up stop thinking.

My mind was thinking about so many things, I didn't know what to do, except quickly face my parents.

"Uh, well, Tom and I are going to go to his room, so he can settle in," I say quickly, grabbing Tom's arm. "Bye."

We quickly left, and Tom looked up his room number, and he headed over to his room.

Tom unlocks the door, and we walk in, my eyes widen immediately.

"Bro, your room is big," I gape looking all around.

Tom smiled.

"I guess that's what happens when you're an actor," he shrugged.

Of course, I knew Tom was famous.

As Dylan stated, "I am obsessed with him," but it was weird being able to talk to him as a normal person (which he was) but as though we had been friends for a long time.

I saw the bed, and immediately jumped on it, Tom chuckling and jumping on as well.

"This bed is so comfortable," I mumble into the bed.

"It's more comfortable since you're here," Tom said, causing me to turn and face him. "I just feel like I can tell you anything."

I tried not to look so surprised, but it's not every day Tom Holland tells you that he feels like he can just talk to you.

"Do you really mean that?" I ask, after failing to figure out if he was bluffing or not since we had only met one hour ago.

Tom studied my face and nodded.

"I do, Darling," he said. "Even though we just met, I feel like I've known you my whole life."

"That's super cheesy, Tom," I replied, scrunching my nose up.
