Princess Tom
Y/n's pov
"And done," I said, smiling, I had just finished editing a photo.
Tom jumped at the sudden noise.
"Y/n you scared me to death," he said, putting his hand on his chest.
I laughed a little, "I'm sorry, Princess Tom," I said in a teasing tone, "I didn't mean to scare you."
Tom looked very unimpressed.
"Really, Y/n?" he asked. "Out of all nicknames, you had to call me 'Princess Tom'?"
"Yes," I replied, a sly smile on my face.
"How long are you going to call me that?" he asked.
"Forever," I said.
"Can I change that?" he asked.
"Nope," I said, popping the 'p' smiling. "I'll be calling you Princess Tom for the rest of time."
"Maybe I'll have to do something to change that," he said, smirking.
I laughed, shaking my head.
"That's what you think, but you won't get me to stop calling you Princess Tom."
"She's not lying," Kylee said from the seat behind them. "Nothing you do is going to get her to change her mind. Nice try, but she's not going to stop. In fact, you'd be lucky if she for some reason decided to stop calling you Princess Tom."
"Yeah," David agreed. "Sorry to break it to you Tom, but Kylee is right. Just get used to it, and you'll be fine."
"Right," Tom said, not sure how to react to that news.
However, I could tell he was sincerely hoping that I would forget about it, but I wouldn't, as the first step was: changing his contact.
I pulled out my phone, pulling up Tom's contact, changing it from "Thomas" to "Princess Tom" then trying to decide whether or not to add a heart.
"Just put the heart on there," Tom sighed, seeing that I was close to doing it, figuring he had nothing else to lose.
"Will do, Princess Tom," I replied, putting the heart on like he said.
After that, I checked where we were, we still had about an hour till we got back to the port city, which reminded me, I needed to post the pictures I had taken and edited and put them onto Instagram.
I posted the picture, then realized I had a lot of follow requests, along with DM requests as well.
"That's fun," I muttered sarcastically, looking through them. I didn't know a single person that had requested, give or take a few who I had gone to school with, but one thing was similar between all of them.
They all followed Tom.
"What to do, what to do," I sighed, turning my phone off, so I could think more clearly.
"Huh?" Tom asked, furrowing his eyebrows.
"I had a lot of follow requests," I shrugged. "I thought this was going to happen."
"You did?" he asked, not surprised, about the requests, but about how calm I was. "What are you going to do about it?"
"Make my account public," I shrugged, "it's the easiest thing to do, besides, there's nothing with the two of us together posted on my account... yet."
"So you are going to post a picture of us together at some point," Tom asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Well, yeah," I shrugged, "I mean I might end up forgetting to do it, but for the most part, I will post something at some point in time."
"Oh," Tom said, "then you do what you want to do."
"Thank you, kind sir," I said. "Anyways, I still need to come up with a song."
"Okay, Darling," Tom yawned. "I'm going to sleep again, wake me up when we stop."
That's what I did. I spent the rest of the ride (except for the half an hour I fell asleep), coming up with ideas about what song David and I could sing.
When we finally got back to the port city, I nudged Tom, waking him up.
"We need to get off," I whispered, as his eyes fluttered open.
"I'm up," he said standing up quickly, then leaning forward. "I stood up too quickly."
I laughed softly, helping him steady himself.
"Thanks," he muttered, then getting off of the bus.
"Have you picked a song yet?" Dylan asked, nudging me as we walked over to where we needed to go so we could get back to the boat.
"No," I said awkwardly, even after the entire bus ride, I still didn't know what song to choose.
"Loser," he said, shaking his head. "Think about an eighties song. That always works."
"I will," I sighed, clapping a hand on his back, "thanks."
"You know it," Dylan said, then running over to Ivy.
"Looks like I won the bet," I said smiling.
"What bet?" Tom asked, yawning.
"I thought I told you," I replied, "but I told Dylan he'd find the love of his life this trip."
Tom nodded understanding what I meant, nodding towards Dylan and Ivy, "Looks like you might be right."
"Well of course I'm right," I said, "have you not noticed how much those two spend time with each other, it's pretty much all the time that we're on the boat."
"Like when?" Tom asked, causing me to roll my eyes.
"Yesterday, they didn't come to the competition," I pointed out. "Do you know where they were?"
Tom thought about it for a second, then shrugged.
"They were sitting in Kylee and David's room, watching the competition," I said. "How do I know? Dylan told me."
Tom nodded, laughing a bit, as we were now getting onto the bus that would take us back to the ship.
"So you haven't thought of a song yet?" he asked.
"That is correct," I sighed, sitting down, "but don't worry about me, I'll think of one at some point in the next hour- hopefully."
"If you need help," Tom said, "I can help you."
I smiled, and nodded, going back to my brainstorming.
Nothing.
I had thought of absolutely nothing.
We had been sitting in our room for an hour, both of us had taken a shower (separately, of course, get your head out of the gutter), but here I was, still not having a perfect idea.
"What about-"
"Thomas no- I told you for the last time," I said, groaning, "there is no way I'm going to stoop that low and sing a song that just came out, that's too basic."
Tom sighed, falling back onto his bed.
"Whatever you say, Darling," he said, "just don't come and thank me when you finally realize I was being smart."
"I won't," I said, with a sarcastic smile, scrolling through my playlists again.
That's when it finally hit me.
"We need to go over to David and Kylee's," I said, standing up quickly, ignoring the dizziness I felt, which was a mistake, since I almost fell.
But thank Stan Lee for Tom, since he kept me upright.
"Come on," he said chuckling.
"I- what?" I said, looking at how he had to jump from his bed quickly to come and "save me." "How did you do that?"
"Do what?" Tom asked, grabbing his phone, as soon as he thought he could let me stand on my own.
"You like zoomed out of bed," I said, pulling my shoes on.
"Oh, I don't know," Tom shrugged. "Because I'm Spider-Man, Darling-"
"You already used that line," I said with a small laugh.
Tom rolled his eyes, a small smile on his face, going to walk to the door when there was a knock.
"I'll get it," Tom said, walking over to the door, opening it, only to have David burst into the room.
"Oh David," I said, my eyes wide. "I was just about to come over."
"Well, I got here first," David said. "Anyways-"
"I know what song we should sing-" we both said at the same time.
"How about we say it at the same time," I suggested.
"The only logical answer," David agreed. "Okay, one... two... three..."
"'Never Ending Story' by Limhal," we said simultaneously.
"Can you guys read each other's thoughts?" Kylee asked, her and Tom looking spooked.
"Of course not," David and I answered. "Or can we?"
"You're hurting my head," Tom said, looking between us.
"I don't know what just happened, but it won't happen again," David and I said, in sync.
"Okay, that's weird," Kylee said, raising an eyebrow.
"What can I say?" we said. "Our mental synchronization, can't help but one explanation-"
"You," I sang.
"And I," David continued.
"We're just meant to be friends," we finished.
"I- wow," Tom said, looking even more spooked. "Please don't do that again."
"Yeah, I have to agree with Tom," Kylee said, looking between David and me.
I nodded, I understood what they meant, I wasn't sure what had just happened, and I wasn't going to question it, since I didn't want to confuse myself even more. But it seemed as though David thought the same thing, based on his expression.
"Okay, I think we're done," I sighed, turning to David. "Right?"
"Yeah," David nodded, "well, I guess we need to sort out parts."
"That we do."
