Now, I'm Starving
Y/n's pov
"Can I have your autograph?" Someone asked me. "On my forehead."
I hesitated but signed their forehead, which I thought was incredibly weird, but you need to try new things every day?
We were standing in the room just outside of the theater, there were dozens of people talking to David, I, and the other contestants who did well.
Tom was standing right behind me, but since there were people coming up to me every second, I couldn't talk to him.
I stood there, smiling, taking pictures (Tom would take them), for about half an hour.
"You did amazing," said someone in a mocking tone.
I sighed, it was finally dying down, I didn't want someone coming up to me just to criticize me, even though I was welcome to it. I just wanted to stop smiling.
"Thank you!" I said, smiling, to see it was Olivia who said it.
"You did amazingly horrible," she replied in a snarky tone.
"Thanks, appreciate the criticism," I said, smiling even bigger.
"You know what I really thought of your performance," Olivia said, glaring at me, not noticing that Tom was somewhere behind me, wandering off a little, but he could still hear what was happening. "I think you are just a bratty theater kid that gets whatever she wants. Your tap thing- it wasn't even that good, and your song choice, it sucked.
"You are just a little goody two shoes that everyone likes, and always wins, I bet you somehow know all the judges with all of your stupid goody two shoes knowledge," she said. I kept smiling, knowing it was ticking her off, but also I knew people were watching us. "Stop smiling, you look like an idiot."
"Hey, Y/n," said Chris Evans, showing up out of who knows where (someone probably swore (if you did it please confess now)), "I wanted to congratulate you, and welcome you to my team."
"I can't wait to work with you," I grinned, shaking his hand.
Chris then walked over to Tom, causing Olivia to glare at me again.
"You didn't tell me Tanner was here," she said angrily.
I gave her an innocent smile. "Oh, I didn't know I was supposed to do that."
"I can't with you right now," she said.
"You guys need to calm down," Chris said, walking over to us.
Chris seemed very calm, while Tom seemed heated.
"Calm down," I whispered to him, "she's just jealous, besides, I can handle this myself."
"Right," Tom said, seeming to calm down, while Olivia did the opposite.
"You've taken everything from me," she growled, "you are such a brat, I think you deserve to lose everything good you have. I think you are talentless, and can't do anything well-"
Tom looked as though he wanted to give her a piece of his mind, so I stepped on his foot.
"Ow," he hissed, luckily, Oliva didn't notice.
"Calm down," I breathed, "I'll take care of it."
"I'm sorry you feel that way," I told Olivia, "but I don't choose for these things to happen, so if you want to keep being salty, then fine, but I just want you to know that I'm not talentless. Everything I do and achieve is because I earned it."
Olivia looked between Tom and me, I was calm. On the other hand, even though Tom was standing behind me, I could feel that he was ticked off.
"Now, I'm starving," I continued, "so I'm going to go, have a nice night."
I turned and left, not waiting for Tom.
I took the stairs (horrible decision 2/10 would not recommend) from the sixth floor to the sixteen floor. It was an understatement to say I was dying at the end.
"I never want to climb stairs ever again," I breathed, talking to myself.
"You could have taken the elevator," said a voice.
I looked up, and there were David and Kylee waiting for me.
"Yeah, Y/n," Kylee agreed. "You could have walked up one floor, and then taken the elevator."
"Yeah, I could have," I sighed, realizing I could have done that. "But I didn't, and look where I am now."
"Is that Y/n L/n?" said someone in a joking tone.
"Omg- I know her," said someone else.
I sighed, I already knew who it was.
"Shut up, Dylan," I said, leaning against the wall, still breathing heavily.
Dylan smirked, handing me a water bottle, not saying anything, laughing quietly with Ivy.
"Thanks," I said, drinking the entire bottle (not including the bottle).
"You have to say hydrated, sis," Dylan said, shaking his head, but then patting my shoulder. "But, I'm really proud of you, you did so well tonight, it made me cry," he said this all, in a motherly manner, causing me to laugh.
"Thanks, Dylan."
"You five are having a party without me?" I looked up to see Tom walking out of the elevator over to us.
"Took you long enough," Kylee said, raising an eyebrow. "We've all been sitting- standing here for a while."
Tom smiled awkwardly. "I had a small chat with Olivia- I'm not going to repeat what I said, Y/n would kill me if she found out."
"I would what?" I asked.
Tom looked alarmed, only then seeing me.
"Nothing-" he said quickly. "I just sorta... didn't stay calm..."
I sighed, shaking my head, I knew it was going to probably happen, I just didn't want to be there when it did, but I also did want to get food.
"Well, why don't we go do something," I suggested.
Everyone nodded, but no one suggested anything.
"How about golf," Tom suggested.
It was a unanimous vote, so we went to go play golf, not going to get food.
I did terribly.
"I suck at golf," I sighed, sitting to the side as David took a shot.
"No you don't," Tom said, pulling me over.
I shook my head, Tom was just behind Dylan, and Dylan was a pretty good golf player (now thinking about it, Dylan is good at a lot of things for only doing the same three things all of the time).
"Boom," Dylan said, smiling, "I just won, eat that."
We had just finished our second game, Dylan had won both of the games, and it was obvious he was still up to play many more rounds.
"D'you lot want to play again?" Tom asked.
He was surprisingly calm about coming in second twice, both times being so close to beating Dylan apparently (that's what Dylan told me), but still losing.
"Sure," I sighed, grabbing my golf ball from Tom, who was holding it.
"I mean if you want to lose again," Dylan said, smirking.
"You're on," Tom replied.
During the course of the game, Kylee out of nowhere, when no one was looking, pointing to me, then making a heart with her hands, pointing to Tom.
I rolled my eyes, not answering. Until she bugged me again, to which I responded with a nod, giving her the answer she needed, making her smirk.
Tom ended up winning by a landslide.
He kept getting "aces" and "eagles" (thank you Tom for so kindly telling me these terms so I don't mess up), which led him to win.
Dylan, along with the rest of us were surprised, but Dylan was a good sport and ended up talking to Ivy when we finished.
"You just pulled a 'Y/n'," I said, putting a hand on Tom's shoulder.
"A what?" Tom asked, a confused smile on his face.
"A 'Y/n'," I repeated, "as in my name- basically when you pretend to be really bad at something, but then, in reality, you can win very easily."
"Oh, I guess I did," Tom said. "I play golf almost every day back at home," he said, "Usually with Harison, Harry, or Sam, though, Paddy sometimes joins in."
"That's not fair," I huffed, "I've only really played mini-golf."
"Maybe we'll have to play a bit more," Tom said, winking.
"Okay- uh-" I said loudly, feeling awkward, "we should go, it's like ten- and we have a port day tomorrow."
"Okay, Y/n," Dylan said, rolling his eyes, "let's go then."
We dropped Ivy and Dylan off at their rooms, then the rest of us went back to our rooms.
"Tell me when you guys have kissed," Kylee whispered before we parted ways.
"Who says we haven't already?" I replied as David dragged Kylee into their room.
"Y/n, I swear-" Kylee said, the sound of their door shutting cutting her off.
I shook my head, walking into my room, I closed the door, turning around, only to see Tom shirtless
"Thomas-" I exclaimed, covering my eyes out of habit.
"What?" Tom asked. "Darling, you've seen me shirtless before."
"Right," I said, uncovering my eyes, "sorry about that."
Tom chuckled, coming over to me, hugging me like usual.
"Kylee asked you if you liked me, didn't she," he asked.
"What-?" I replied, not expecting that.
"I hate to tell you this Love," he said, "but I do have eyes."
I laughed awkwardly, but he quickly picked me up, so my legs were around his waist (how? Couldn't tell you).
"Also," he whispered into my ear, "'what if we already have?' you could have told her."
"That takes away all the fun," I managed to get out, as Tom's face was very close to mine, my face was heating up quickly.
"That is true," he chuckled, "but maybe you can tell her about this-"
He closed the little space between us, kissing me.
It was a soft kiss, but it was good. When we pulled away, Tom pecked me on the lips once more, then set me down on the ground.
"How was that?" he asked, his voice husky.
"Amazing," I said quietly, looking down.
Tom chuckled softly. "Well, we better get to bed," he said, "we have things to see tomorrow, L/n."
"We're doing last name, Holland?" I asked, losing all of that shyness that was filling me before.
"Are we?" he asked, smiling.
"Hm, maybe I'll just have to call you 'Holland' from now on," I smirked.
That's when Tom's eyes widened, realizing what that could mean.
"Y/n- no," he said.
"You'll have to convince me to change my mind," I shrugged.
A smirk then formed on Tom's face.
"It's on, L/n."
