Question: Why do certain styles work for the twins but others don't?

For Pink; this reasoning is because the Stone capture was made the first Midori. This ability was then passed down to the eldest child of each generation after. And with Pink being the older twin, she naturally gets the ability. Nothing more than that.

For Purple; Snagging was originally bad in Orre. Team Snagem was one of the two villains in the region. Purple actually had to train his catching style to get used to it even though it was against the Midori Catching Code (Whatever that is... Ask me for more later-). But he was sorta required to get his style to adjust to the evil catching style. He also got frontline training by Onyx, who was an expert in the field of Snagging (Same guy who offered to let us use his Snag Machine for that experiment). When Snagging became a "Hero's" job, his snagging became indifferent. So even though he can snag while his sister can't, he can't use a restricted Snag Machine.
