Questions: What is the background with Jaern's Family?

(Side Questions:
How many members?
What is the relationship with everyone in the family?
Why were they separated in the first place?)

Ok... let's start with the basics.

Jaern, if you don't know already, is the Former Cult Leader of the Sky Cult. What you may not know is that he is currently the Legendary Guardian of Rayquaza and has formed the Dragons of Blood. Ok... now to go into details.

The Dragons of Blood are just his children that came together in a hybrid family with their mothers. Currently there are three mothers and 10 children (Subject to change; might be another father/mother and 3 kids. Unknown at this time). So in total, there are (Currently) 14 (possibly 18) members (That should answer that first side question).

For that second question; Jaern is the father; a pure-blood dragon like Black. Then there's the three mothers, which are Kayla; First Elite Four of Torren and a Human, Erma; Chairperson of the Rangers and a Wingly, and Lily; a famous scientist of Orre and a Will-o'-the-Wisp. Then there are the children... Let's sort them out.

Kayla's Kids: Jaeyla and Chelsea
Erma's Kids: Midnight, Porcelain, Sage, Joel, Rednal, Malov
Lily's Kids: Amber and Jovi

All kids are another branch of the Dragonfolks. Kayla's are Drakkins while Erma's and Lily's are Dragonborns. And before you ask, all kids are either siblings or step siblings, the mothers have a similar relationship and Jaern doesn't change.

Now for that last question... (This info was given by Etta and [Etta's AU] Black.)

Kayla, Jaeyla and Chelsea never got separated. Because they are a two Drakkin/one human family without Jaern being there, they were safe. Same with Lily, Amber and Jovi. Without Jaern being there, they just had to stay in Orre. However, the Aloje family had 6 Dragonborns and a Dragon without their Wingly. So when a threatening aura from a Rogue Dragonfolk hit the place they were staying at and their Wingly wasn't in the area to protect them, they were forced to separate and lessen the chances of them getting caught by the Rogue Dragonfolk member.

However, this actually did more damage. If they had stayed together, sure, they would've made themselves a prime target. But three things damaged the children when they split up.

1: Joel was ripped into a fake life and Sage took the blame for it.
2: Rednal and Malov got separated and captured.
3: Porcelain was ambushed and abandoned.

Which is why I wonder what is wrong with this family.

I'm sure there was more pain, but I wouldn't know.
