Question: What exactly is the Fragments of the Fragile Heart thing Etta mentioned in Threat at School?

Hey, she didn't really give you good info from what I saw.

So I don't blame you for the confusion. Let's go further.

(Warning: I will be saying Green and Blue as the swapped names from Etta's book. So here, Green is the boy/Blue is the girl. Sorry if it confuses You)

Fragments of the Fragile Heart. It is actually a curse/trance. Whoever is affected by it is in a forever trance to complete the heart.

Their physical heart is perfectly ok. But if their love heart is touched the wrong way, it can lead to traumatic results. This can say a lot. Many of the problems that can occur are as follows.

Mass death/injuries across a population

Missing people/items

Threats/deals with people/items

Yandere-like activities (examples: stalking, eavesdropping, ect.)

Overprotectiveness

And that's just a small portion of it.

This curse doesn't just mean love. Bonding in any sort of way with one of the people with this curse/trance automatically gets a section of the affects.

For example, when Green was being targeted by the group of bullies that were trying to overthrow the leader of the school but got the wrong senior, Blue practically tore them down due to what happened.

Or another would be when Purple was sick, Red put Purple's priorities before his own.

These are just some of the many examples of what happens if a bond is hurt. Most of the list in the last section relates to here, just adding certain things.

One of the many things that this curse/trance does is separates the people in it from the others. It enhances their abilities so that they can protect everyone that is in their bond, love or not. Many of these ways of protecting would contain abduction and threatening. Marking is another way, but that isn't used unless absolutely needed. Another way is their pasts all have a heartbreaking area of life. Whether it affects their hearts or not. But nothing is truly known about what else there is.
