Question: What was the motivation behind the betrayal?

This is a good one.

Just like ALoN and most Ash Betrayal stories, they expected him to lose again and hopefully get him to surrender his dream. However, he was taking forever to get home, so unlike every Betrayal story, they were hoping to tell him the next day.

Sadly... they were a little late.

But unlike my ALoN, he didn't have the same support. He had some of the main ones, the Rangers, and some Champions.

The big twist here is that he did technically listen. But he already got his goal while taking a break.
