The base was quiet as the rain tickled the ground outside. My eyes gazed out. I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"We're heading out." I nodded and pulled my headset over my ears. I heard the door lightly closed and heard a beep. I smiled.

"Let's do this."

My voice wasn't even at a shouting level and things were already going downhill. I cursed under my breath and tapped a couple of keys. My eyes zipped around the screen as tabs quickly popped up. What was happening that was driving me crazy? Ruby and Sapphire. And no. While I would love to call it a ship moment, bad news hit like a bat. And it was getting good! (For you shippers, we almost had a kiss. We were right there!) The duo were almost crushed by the attack and they were practically down at this point. It went from peaceful to near death. I cursed myself before closing the laptop and running out. I instantly got into the air and raced to their location. A bright green light circled my hand as I casted.

"DIGITAL KINGDOM.... WARRIOR!"

The attack successfully took out the entire enemy. I landed and rushed over to the other two. Sapphire was passed out while Ruby was slightly damaged. Sapphire mumbled something quietly under her breath.

"How did that happen?"

"Someone got into the system and cut me off while these thugs struck here. How did you hold out for so long?"

"Sapphire almost didn't. I kept them back until you showed up." Sapphire adjusted in his arms. He picked her up. "Let's go."

We walked back to the base. I eyed his wounds. They looked real, but a gut feeling was telling me that they weren't. I knew Ruby. He was familiar with disguises. He would've had no problem whipping up those wounds. He had several bruises and scrapes that could've been faked. However, I didn't question it. Why? Ruby is actually the strongest member of our group. I've seen him wipe out enemy lines. But I've never seen his full strength. Do I want to? No. If he can wipe out enemies, then my Kingdom Magic was screwed. I would rather die by Yellow's hand than Ruby's. Not saying that he would murder people, but he could be a villain. A successful one. If he wasn't a Dexter, we would be struggling right. He obviously noticed my staring.

"You good?" My eyes instantly wandered away. 

"Just making sure you're ok. You're really damaged." Ruby smiled softly. I noticed a small slyness in the smile.

"I'm alright. These bruises are nothing." 

I frowned upon that, but stayed quiet. Blake had slipped me a note during the meeting, saying that Ruby had thrown a spell at Mr. Fedorov. That typically wasn't good, especially since me and Sapphire weren't there. It could've been worse. Much more dangerous for the fight. But I didn't bring it up because this is Ruby we're talking about. There were so many possibilities that would happen. As we approached the base (not showing you what it looks like. That's a secret), Sapphire woke up. She was still very dizzy, so I asked some of the others if they could take a couple of the tasks until she was in fighting condition. As they left, Sapphire glanced at me. Her voice was soft, but that didn't stop her.

"Emerald... did Ruby tell you what happened?"

"He didn't tell me the whole story."

"I can tell you what I know. He used his Maximálna pôvodná sila." I stared at her.

"Is he an idiot? Does he realize what he did?"

Let me explain. Ruby and Sapphire (and some guy named Jearn. Ask Legendary_Etta_7 for more info) used the powers of Kyogre and Groudon (and Rayquaza. Again, Ask said user.) They are very powerful. As far as I know, they don't usually use their Maximálna pôvodná sila unless the other was knocked out. Which instantly got my mind moving. If the wounds on Ruby were fake and she was knocked out... Ruby was the only one who has successfully knocked Sapphire out. 

"Wait... you don't think that..."

"It's possible. I know for a fact that he casted something before the meeting in Unova." I groaned.

"We need to keep an eye on him."

"Yeah..."

"Get some rest. We'll talk in the morning."

"Copy that."

I got up and went to the kitchen. You see, what the others don't know is that as one of the number one criminals, I don't mess around with information like this.

Because it's critical to situations like this.
