"So what does is say?" You sighed as you took the note.

"Did you think that you would be able to hide that worthless kid from me back at the training ground? Foolish girl. I was going to kill him, but then decided that it would be better to kill an innocent. Don't you just love when that happens? Anyway, I hope you have a great day!"

You paused as you came to the ending, not wanting to read the last bit. "How did he know I was there?" You sighed, "I didn't cover you fast enough I guess." "What's the last bit say?" Asked Upa. He was the only one that knew the truth. If he was going to fight this with you, he needed to know. "Your loving brother, Shen." You said in a small voice. "Brother?" Asked Upa. You nodded. "After my parents gave me away, they had another child. A boy. They showered him with love and affection. They taught him well and he grew into a good fighter. He could use Qi gong but it didn't satisfy them. They wanted him to be more powerful. They tried to push him, but he didn't want to. One day, they got into a fight. Afterword, Shen ran off. Unbeknownst to him, Xieie had been watching him since his birth." "Why is Xieie watching your family in particular?" "As you know, Qi gong is hereditary. If one child has it, their sibling likely has it too." Upa nodded his head. "Xieie knew that Shen had potential because he was my brother, so when Shen ran off, he was taken to the base. He was trained and eventually took my spot as Xieie's right hand man." "Why was he able to get better then but not when his parents pushed him to?" He asked. "Xieie never let Shen forget how good his former right hand man, me, had been. This pushed Shen to train hard in an attempt to surpass me. After he found out that I was his sister, it only edged him on further." "So that's why he's so intent on you." Said Upa. You nodded, "If I'm out of the picture, in his mind, he wins." You set the paper, now crumpled from you holding it tightly, back on the ground. Silence settled over the room. "I'm going to have to kill him." You said deictically, disrupting the silence. You had already known you were going to have to do that, but now the time was coming closer. This was the first time that you had said it out loud. "He's not going to stop until one of us is dead. I'm going to kill my own brother." You said, face and voice void of emotion. Upa put a hand on your shoulder. You looked at him and smiled sadly. After a few seconds, Upa got up, offering you a hand. You took it and he pulled you up. He opened his mouth to say something, but he was interrupted by the sound of the door swinging open followed by the sound of a child crying. You both turned to see Samon walking in with a baby in his arms and a baby bag on his shoulder. He was trying, but failing to calm the wailing child. When he caught sight of you, he flashed you a relieved smile. As he got closer, you held out your arms, already knowing why Samon brought the child here. "Thank gosh I finally found you (y/n). He's been crying for the past hour." He said sweat dropping. You bounced the baby on your knee, "Did you feed him?" Samon froze, "u-uuum" "SAMON YOU CAN'T JUST FORGET TO FEED A CHILD!" You yelled while taking out a bottle out of the baby bag. "WELL HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW?" You mixed up the formula and took out the portable bottle heater. "YOU HAVE TO FEED CHILDREN, SAMON. THEY CAN'T FEED THEMSELVES." Samon crossed his arms, "Well that's what you're for." You sighed as you dripped a bit of the now warm formula onto your arm to check the temperature. "Honesty you should never be allowed near children." He shrugged, "I'm a prison supervisor, not a babysitter." He started walking towards the door but turned back to face you, "I'll be back in two hours to pick up Nathen." He said before walking out. You sighed as you held the bottle at his mouth. He happily drank it. "Who's baby is this?" "It's the Warden's little nephew. Sometimes he comes visit her. When she's too busy to watch him, she'll get Samon to watch him, who then gives him to me." You pull the now empty bottle from the baby's mouth. You put him over your shoulder and pat his back trying to get him to burp. "Why would someone let their baby visit a prison?" You shrugged, "This is an anime. Don't ask too many questions." He slapped you lightly on the arm, "Hey, don't break the forth wall." You rolled your eyes, "Sorry." After he was burped, you stood up, cradling him in your arms. He fell asleep quickly. "I guess we'll have to train some other time." You said, beginning to walk towards to door. Upa picked up the bag, walking ahead of you. "Where are we going?" Asked Upa. You thought for a second, "Let's go back to the cell. He needs to be put down for a nap." He nodded, walking out of the door. You were about to walk out after him, but someone jumped in front of you and slammed it shut. You yelped and jumped back, clutching the baby close. Whoever slammed the door quickly jumped back into hiding. You felt around for someone's aura. Your heard dropped at you recognized it who it was. "No no no no no." You said frantically. You heard Upa banging on the other side of the door. It locked from the inside. You reached to open the door to run out, but you were pulled back. You whirled around to see the face of your brother. He chuckled, "Long time no see." You glared at him, "Shen." You said angrily. "The one and only." He said cockily. He looked at the baby held in your arms, "Ooh and who is this little man~" He said, cooing at the baby. You backed away from him, shielding Nathen from Shen.
