no one saw them slip out of their den, the brightly coloured bundle of snapdragons in their jaws. even so, they glanced around nervously, worried someone would spot them and recognize their fur. the grey in it shone like silver in the moonlight.
the cat knew, as they slowly padded in the shadows towards the warriors den, that the other's who had been caught were punished by silly titles. but, they looked a lot like their sibling, and if they were seen, maybe everything would be fine.
they managed to enter the den without any sounds emitting from their pawsteps. placing the flowers down in the moss-halo, the feline smiled at snaphound and turned to leave.
it was as they were returning to their nest when the evening patrol returned, causing adrenaline to spike into their blood.
rushing into their den, the cat blindly scrabbled away from the patrol that called after them.
"snow...?"
