Varun's POV

I tightened my grip.I am holding her wrist tightly.We stepped inside and noticed Anurag throwing angry glares at me.I saw him muttering few words passing a glare at my hand which is holding her wrist.I wanted to smile at him badly, laugh on his face.

How can he be so rude to us.He knows well  that what had happened in past. What did Preeti do?!Still he is behaving as Preeti committed a sin by choosing me.

I looked into his eyes,he looked away lowering his head a bit.I smiled at his act.He is guilty.Such a bipolar.

"Sir!I love your daughter and I promise you that I will take care of her till my last breathe." I said sincerely.

No one is willing to speak.Preeti clasped her fingers with mine looking at me in surprise.She looks amazed by my confession and her eyes are praising me.

Her father didn't say anything but sighed asking me to sit down.Preeti walked away from me and went to her papa's side. He glared at her raising his eyebrows.

She stood there wiping her tears.

"I lowered my head not because I committed a mistake I went against your will" She understood her dad's expression and answered him.

"May be I was so stringent at time.I forced him emotionally and tried to snatch away those stars he loves to bear on his shoulders.May I be was naive to know it was wrong."

"May be I deserve that pain." She looked at me.

"But I am sorry for hurting each and everyone of you.I hurt him being a possessive lover.I hurt you being an irresponsible daughter and I never lived upto the mark."

"Give me a chance to prove myself once. Please dad,Please "She asked him sincerely.Her words spat me so hard.I don't know when my eyes became moist.

"Look Preeti,We always respected your decisions,we all know its your life,your decision matters the most and you know that never imparted our decisions on you.But for the very first time we are asking you an explanation."

"An explanation for what you did?!Why did you choose him?Do you trust him even after leaving your hand in front of everyone?"He asked Preeti embracing his hands over her shoulder.

"Yes Dad!"Preeti nodded.

"Why so?!"He asked her lifting her head a bit.

"Because I love him.I never stopped loving him.I was deceiving my heart all the time saying that I hate him but I was missing him all the time" She said with tears brimmed in her eyes.

"Hu.."He sighed.

"But he rejected you,your love"He questioned crouching his eyebrows.

"It was once but now I know he loves me a lot" He looked at me for which I nodded.She smiled and continued.

"I was so naive and very possessive at that time.My love was not pure.I tried to became an obstruction in his path.Instead of making him strong my love threw him in a sort of insecurity.I asked him to choose between his passion and my love.He chose his passion which is so selfless,where my love was selfish."

"I learnt a lesson dad, Love has to be pure, It has to be supportive and selfless." She sighed.She realised her mistakes,it's my turn now.

"If that hasn't happened we would've separated on the very next day.It would be impossible for us to rectify our mistakes.Now we learnt how to respect each other's mistake.Now we know how to become each other's strength.Now we learnt how to be selfless and pure.We love each other without any expectations.We love each other so much dad." She said holding her dad's hands tightly.

"Sir,What I did was wrong.I apologise you for that.Sorry is a small word.But my love for your daughter is so real and true.I won't say I can't live without your daughter but I can say my life will be incomplete and meaningless." I have finally confessed and looked into his eyes.His eyes are filled with tears.

"I was a fool to run away from her.I didn't trust my love.I insulted her love towards me.If I were this much wise at that time.I wouldn't have taken such a rubbish step.Now I learnt from my mistakes.I learnt that even success is bitter when our beloved one is far away from us.I became a successful police officer but failed as a human,a lover.I need a second chance"I stood there in front of him like a student waiting for his teacher's response.

"What's left there to speak!" He spoke looking at me.

"Ah...Sorry dad!"Preeti said pursing her lips.

"You people are no more kids.You are two individuals who are independent and smart enough to make your decisions.Well if you both feel that you that you both love each other and want to share your life then we have no problem."

"But.." He stopped, looked at me and continued.

"I warn you both once again,don't make such important decisions hastily and marriage is once in a life time thing,it is a sacred bonding, respect the bond." He looked at again asking us to retrospect our decision.

We smiled  at him he got our answer.

"Not everyone gets a second chance. You both are lucky." He smiled.

I went to him and hugged him.

He smiled and whispered.

"Please take care of my daughter.She loves you more than herself."

"I know,I will take care of her sir.I promise you that I will try my best to keep her happy all the time." I said holding his hands.

"We want you both to be happy forever.We have no objection about your marriage but we can't see our daughter hurting herself again.What we want is your happiness,Both of you should be happy and your bond should lost long" Her mother came forward and hugged her.

"Thank you mom" She smiled.

"We saw you both suffering after your break up.You both were living like you lost everything your life,nothing has left.We used to pray god to take away your pain.We wanted both of you to be together again."

"You might have succeeded in your career but when it comes to your personal life you secluded yourself from everyone.You both stared avoiding people and family get to gathers.We don't want our children to suffer more.We love you."Her mom is still hugging her and looked at me.

"You both were so stringent and wasn't ready to accept each other fault, each other as such.If you love someone love them whole hearted. Love their strengths and their flaws equally,After all a man is a combination of both and remember no one is perfect,everyone has one other flaws." She looked at us.

"We know how much you both missed each other.We too want you both to be happy.We have seen how you both suffered without each other.We really have no objection" She declared.

I looked at Preeti,She smiled at me with tears in her eyes.

"I love you"I mouthed.

She smiled back giving her answer.

I saw a pair of eyes watching me, Anurag.
