"Here, we go. It's set for noon." Kakashi placed an alarm clock on one of the three stumps behind him. He held up two bells, "Your assignment is very simple. You just have to take these bell from me, that's all there is to it. Ah, Asuka since you weren't here yesterday when I said we'd be doing this, it's just a survival excercise. If none of you get the bells by noon, you'll go without lunch. you'll be tied to those posts and you'll watch while I eat my lunch in front of you."

Yurei frowned, she had forgotten about breakfast that morning, she should have bought something, but by the sound of one of her team mates stomachs, that person hadn't had breakfast either.

"Wait a minute, there's three- ah four of us, how come there's only two bells?" Sakura asked.

"Well I would have bought three if i had known that Asuka would be joining us. But this way at least two of you will be tied to a post and ultimately disqualified for failing to complete the mission. Those ones goes back to the academy."

Going back to the academy wouldn't be such a bad thing... I never even went to it so I'd get to learn how to be a ninja properly and I'd be put on a team fairly when I graduate... Yurei though to herself. Maybe I should let the others get the bells... that would be fair.

"Then again, all of you could flunk out too. You can use any weapons including shuriken. If you're not prepared to kill me you won't be able to take the bells." Kakashi said.

Yurei paled, weapons? Nobody had said anything about weapons? She didn't even have any with her! Even if she did she strongly doubted that she'd be able to hurt anyone with them!

"But those weapons are too dangerous, sensei!" Sakura exclaimed.

"Yeah, especially because you couldn't even dodge that eraser!" Naruto laughed.

"Class clowns are usually the weakest links, you can safely ignore them, lowest scores, losers. When I say start, you can begin." Kakashi answered.

Suddenly Naruto yanked a sharp looking knife out of nowhere and leaped forward at Kakashi, who grabbed his hand, stopping him in his tracks, and spun him around so Naruto now held his own knife to the back of his neck.

Yurei stared in shock, her mouth slightly open. He had just... attacked his teacher? With a real knife? And his teacher had almost killed him... Is this what being a ninja is like?

"Don't be in such a hurry, I didn't say start yet." Kakashi let Naruto go and stood up straighter, "Well, you came at me with the full intention of destroying me, so how can I say this? I'm actually starting to like you guys. Get ready, and start!"

Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura all leaped away in different directions, leaving Yurei standing there, still in shock.

"Ah, um..."

"Ninja must know how to conceal their movements and hide affectively." Kakashi said, watching Yurei.

Hide? That I can do! Yurei kicked off her shoes, turned and ran to the nearest tree where the forest began. She darted behind it, feeling Kakashi's eyes on her the whole time. She dropped to the floor and began to crawl through the undergrowth as silently as possible, avoiding all of the dry leaves and branches.

She glanced back at the feild where Kakashi still stood, and through the plants she could make out Naruto's orange jumpsuit. Right, he's probably distracted now, I can move.

She got out of veiw and pulled herself up onto the first branch of the tree she stood behind. Climbing through all those windows and up onto rooves had payed off. It didn't take her long to get up into the center of the tree, where she again used her abilities learned from climbing over rooves, and jumped to the next tree, slightly closer to the field where she could keep an eye on Kakashi. When she got to the next tree, she was close enough to see the clearing easily, just in time to see Naruto fly up into the air and down into a lake.

Yurei almost fell off the branch she was crouched on, Was he okay? What happened? I've never seen someone fly before! Is that a ninja thing?

As much as she wanted to keep watching the grey haired ninja easily fend off his students, Yurei kind of wanted to attack Kakashi. She stopped herself from moving from her hiding spot, cursing herself. She didn't even know how to fight! She'd never punch or kicked anyone before it would just be useless trying to attack Kakashi.

Suddenly two flying objects flew through the air at Kakashi, who caught both on his fingers. If Yurei looked closely, they looked like... four pointed blades? Is he trying to kill his sensei?! Oh, wait... he's meant to... or is he? This is too confusing. I don't understand at all!

A dripping wet Naruto crawled out of the water and started yelling at Kakashi.

Just then Yurei heard a small grumbling noise. She glanced to her side, and surely a few trees across and a few branches down sat the raven haired boy, Sasuke.

Yurei climbed up a bit higher and slid from one branch to another in the next tree. With no shoes it was much easier to move around silently. She stopped when she diagonally above the boy, looking down she could see his attention was fixed on the seven Naruto's running at Kakashi.

Seven Naruto's? But they aren't the clones that I know how to make! They aren't disappearing!

Another clone appears, sneaking up on Kakashi and jumps on him from behind. One of the Naruto's leaps into the air, his fist raised ready to punch Kakashi, but that never happens, he ends up punching one of his own clones when Kakashi disappears. It ends with Naruto standing alone after all of his clones started attacking each other.

Yurei watched all of this, unsure of what to do, Is that normal? She wondered. She tilted her head to the side as Naruto jumped forwards, towards a tree and leaned down, only to be yanked up into the air by a rope attatched to the tree. Kakashi appeared and started talking to Naruto who just swung around, thrusting his arms in every direction.

In the corner of her eye, Yurei saw Sasuke move. She looked down just as he threw an assortment of different sharp looking objects.

Yurei's eyes widened as they flew towards Kakashi, these ninja were rutheless! They'd kill their sensei for some bells!

Kakashi was hit by the knife things, the force throwing him off his feet and to the ground.
