Chapter 15 - Nayami

"Travelling is so fun. I've only been once with my brother and sister, that was when I met you, but it was such a good experience." Ayano said happily.

Yurei smiled, "I guess it's interesting." She liked that word, interesting.

"I wish I could go again, but I don't know if my mother will say yes."

"Why not?" Yurei asked.

"She thinks it's dangerous." Ayano sighed, "Well I hope we can meet again sometime, when I can travel on my own, ok?"

"Sure," She grinned in response. In the short time that Yurei had stayed, her and Ayano had become friends.

"Ok hon, here's some food for your trip. Stay safe, ok? Also don't hesitate to come back and stay longer next time!" Ayano's mother handed Yurei a small bag.

"Thank you for letting me stay." Yurei replied.

She left in a good mood, walking cheerfully away from Iwagakure, heading south.

Kami Nayami was hungry. How long had she been walking? Too long, she knew that. She didn't even know how far she'd walked. She'd managed to get onto a boat as it was leaving and stayed on it without being found until she'd got to whatever land she was in now.

The ground was mostly rock and dirt with large, tall mountians and patches of large forests. It was pretty similar to Nayami's old home, although the the villages in her land were all in the mountains, built into the sides of the steep rock. Most of the houses you had to walk across bridges to get between.

Urgh, her stomach was twisting painfully, aching for food. This was a nightmare. She should have bought some food at that last village.

How much longer? It felt like she'd been walking for years... maybe not that long but still.

She kicked plants out of her way as she walked grumpily, the sun was high in the sky and she hadn't slept. Maybe travelling alone was a bad idea, she had no idea where she was actually going, she just didn't want to go back home.

She knew that somewhere in this land there was a ninja village like her own, back home, she had no idea where or what it was called though, she just hoped to stumble across it by chance. Small chance, but Nayami wasn't one to plan things before doing them.

"You know Raika, it's times like these when I wish I had you helping me out. Your nose is a lot more sensitive than mine." Nayami said into the air, glancing up.

"Did you notice? I still have your knives, see? Right here," She pointed to her waist where two twin wide blades were tied, both with a purple decorated handles.

"I miss you Raikra," Nayami mumbled.

She suddenly paused, listening. She was sure she'd just heard a noise...

She crept behind a tree and peered around in the direction that she'd heard something from. Through the trees she could see a head. A blue head.

She moved closer, curious. From her new spot she could see it was a girl who was lying against a tree, her eyes closed. She had long dark blue hair that was tied to the side loosely over one shoulder, and a grey scarf wrapped around her neck and shoulders. She wore sandles and leg warmers with dark leggings and a blue long sleeved-wrap around dress.

She now stood behind the tree that the girl was leaning against. She looked down to the bag and saw sushi.

Her stomach rumbled loudly and she froze in case the girl woke at the sound. Luckily she didn't. Nayami reached down to take one of the sushi pieces when a hand grabbed hers.

She squeaked and lept back, falling on her backside.

"Gomenasai! Gomenasai! I'm so sorry! I'm just hungry. Please forgive me! I'll leave you alone! I'll go now! Please don't murder me." Nayami clapped her hands together.

Yurei turned to look at the most curious looking girl she'd probably ever seen. Her style outshone even Naruto's bright orange. She had bandages on her thighs and lower arms and wore a short wrap around short sleeved dress. She also had a long necklace made up of flat disks tied together with red string. Her hair was the most intreguing though, it was a bright spikey lilac tied into two low pigtails and she had a metal protector on that supported her ninja headband which had three 'Z's in the middle.

"Gomenasai! Gomenasai! I'm so sorry! I'm just hungry. Please forgive me! I'll leave you alone! I'll go now! Please don't murder me." The girl placed her hands together, praying.

"It's alright, you can have some. I'm not hungry right now." Yurei said and held out the bag.

The girl looked up in shock, and just stared. Yurei nodded and the girl gently took a piece.

"What's your name?" Yurei asked.

"Nayami," She replied after swallowing, "Man, that's good sushi!"

"You can have more. I have quite a bit of food."

"Are you sure?" Nayami asked.

Yurei nodded and she took some more.

"What about you, what's your name?"

"I'm Yurei."

"Nice ta meet you! Where you from Yurei?"

"Konohagakure, you?"

"Yumegakure. Wow, Konoha? I've always wanted to go there! Are you going there now?" Nayami asked.

Yurei shook her head, "I left there a week ago. Where are you going?"

"No where, just wandering." She grinned,"Where you headed?"

"Land of wind, probably Sunagakure." Yurei replied.

"That's pretty far, plus there's quite a few bandits in the land of rain, that poor country's ruined and bandits and thieves run all over the place. Are you traveling alone?"

Yurei nodded.

"That's dangerous, plus you look like a child. You'll die going through that country!" Nayami exclaimed, "It's decided then."

"What is?"

"I'm coming with you, and we're going through the land of stones, that's much safer." Nayami smiled confidently.

Yurei just nodded, unsure of what to do. It'd be nice to have a travelling companion but she'd only just met this purple haired girl...

"Plus, if I travel with you, I might get more of that delicious sushi..."

 芸術

Nayami - trouble

Raika - short for Raikakku - lilac

Gomenasai - sorry

I shall add a picture of Nayami as soon as I finish drawing her

The video is for my friend <(^-^)>
