in the last chapter...

I took a couple of steps back-words before running forward and shoving my sword into the ground, using it to propel myself into the air.

I was pretty high in the air, and I took off my haori and used it as a parachute- well more of a glider-type thing. I specially made my haori so it could glide like this, obviously your average haori wouldn't.

I made my way to the upper moon.

"Don't ever give up. Even if it's painful, even if it's agonizing, don't try to take the easy way out..." - Zenitu Agatsuma

My eyes widened as I saw something in a distance. I could recognize some pillars fighting- Such as Rengoku and Shinazugawa. I couldn't see the demon but I could see blood... Lots of lots and blood.

My breath hitched in my throat and I panicked, accidentally letting go of my haori, and as I was about to tumble into the trees, someone grabbed my hand and I felt intense eyes staring at me with slight annoyance. "Oi. Don't freak out now. Go help them kick that demon's ass, and don't make me save you again." I heard Obanai hiss and I sweatdropped.

"..Right. Sorry, Obanai-San." I stated and Obanai tch'd before letting go of my hand, and I landed on the ground, put my haori back on, then ran over to where the demon was. I almost stopped in my tracks at how disgusting the demon looked.

It was a pale-white humanoid creature that seemed to have mouths where their eyes should be and an eye where the mouth should be- along with another eye on their forehead.

And unfortunately... It already seemed to have noticed me.

"Ohohohoho~! Seems as if another slayer has come. You guys must be really struggling to kill me, hehehe~" The... The thing teased and my eyebrows furrowed together as I looked at the other pillars and noticed something.

Noticed somethings, actually. The blood- it was barely from any of the pillars. Instead, lower ranked demon slayers that had failed at slaying the demon and died.

The only thought that went through my head at the time was... why? Why the hell would they send them to try and kill this upper moon without help from pillars? Why...

I almost didn't even notice fish coming out of no where that were about to spit stuff at me, and I wasn't about to figure out what it was.

"Breath of The Youkai, third form, The Spirit's Whirlwinds." I muttered to myself as soon as the fish started spitting what seemed to be needles at me.

I watched as a purple haze grew around me in a tornado-like way, catching all of the tiny needles. As soon as I figured that I caught all of the needles in the whirlwind, I pointed my sword at the demon. "...Whirlwind, backfire." I whispered and the tornado shot all of the tiny needles at the demon, but when the purple mist cleared, I noticed that the demon wasn't there, which made me sigh of frustration.

"Agh-" I heard someone groan and I turned around, seeing that Gyomei was defending an injured Mitsuri. I looked around to see if Obanai was gonna come help her but he wasno whereto be seen. I sighed lightly as I ran over and picked up Mitsuri, than ran over to somewhere that was more safe, further from the odd-looking pot demon.

"L/N-San-!" Her eyes widened and I looked at a rather large and deep puncture wound on her leg. I looked at her slight pale face which I assumed was from the blood loss, and felt a pang of guilt as I saw a tear roll down my cheek.

I quickly took off my haori and used my teeth and hands to tear off the sleeve of my haori, and Mitsuri looked both confused and shocked. "L-L/N-San! W-What are you doing?!" She asked and I tore the sleeve in half, wrapping one tightly around the area on her leg above the wound.

"I'm going to help stop the bleeding, okay? Don't worry about my haori, I can always fix it or get a new one." I stated and she frowned but didnt say anaything.

"Mitsuri-San, please apply pressure to the wound with this. Will you be alright if I go back and continue fighting the demon?" I questioned in a soft stone and she looked at me for a bit before she took the ripped half of my sleeve and placed it on the wound with a determined look. "I'll be alright! You got this, L/N-San!" She shouted and my eyes widened before I nodded with a smile. "Thank you. Stay safe." I spoke before I ran off and back to the fight, and saw something else this time.

"L/N-San! Is Mitsuri-Chan alright?!" Obanai shouted at me and I nodded. "She's fine! She'll be okay!" I shouted back and Obanai looked a bit relieved before he spoke again. "We're trying to keep this bastard here until the sun rises, which is very soon!" He spoke and I looked east, seeing the sky slowly turning red because the sun was rising.

"Who's currently trying to stop it?" I asked and Obanai pointed. "Me, Tokitou-San, Shinazugawa-San, Rengoku-San, Tomioka-San, and Uzui-San. Kochou-San and Gyomei-San were going to go head back and check to see if any of the slayers that were here before are alive. But... I highly doubt any are." Obanai sighed before he began running off in the direction. I looked at my sword.

"Youkai-San. I need to go invisible for a sneak attack." I stated and the voice took a bit to respond. "..Master, that will take a lot of your ene-"

"I don't care right now. I just want to keep everyone safe. I don't even care if I die!" I shouted at the Youkai and after a couple of seconds of intense silence, I watched my hands slowly dissapear, and the Youkai spoke again. "This will only last for a minute or so. Please kill the demon, Master."

I nodded faintly as I ran over to where Obanai ran, and it was surprisingly a far distance. It's gonna take me a minute to get there. I hope I can stay invisible until then...

I ran through, passing both Obanai and Uzui on my way there, and then I finally saw the demon.

I looked back and squinted, seeing that the sun was about to rise enough so this demon would start to burn. I hope it goes to hell.

I saw Tokitou out of the corner of my eye before I lunged at the demon, which I could tell I took it by shock. I saw some of the pillars shocked expressions, too.

"No, no, no! What is happening, what is going on?!" The demon shouted and it's weird fish demons popped back up again, and I could feel the pain of each and every needle shooting into my back, face, arms, and even my legs.

I watched as my hands that were once invisible slowly fade back to being visible, and I heard a shout.

"...L-L/N-San!? What are you doing?!" It was a familiar voice, but one with so much emotion and feelings that I almost didn't realize who the voice belonged to. Or maybe it's because of the hundreds of needles all over my body. I'm not really sure anymore.

"Is the sun almost up?!" I shouted.

"It is! But p-please stop-! It's fine if we let him away! Do you feel the needles?!" He shouted in a panic and my eyes widened. What happened to him? Where did all this emotion come from? I... have no time to worry about that now...

I heard foot steps rush over to me, and while I was glaring daggers at the demon, mustering up all my strength to hold the fucker to the ground until the sun came up, I watched as a familiar blade was stabbed into the demon's head and right through the ground. I looked up and saw the owner of the blade, Tokitou.

His eyes were full of anger, but as soon as he turned to me I could see fear, panic, concern, and shock. The emotion in his eyes and face was so intense, it almost made me want to cry, if the hundreds of needles werent doing that already.

"Shinazugawa-San! Please make that... that demon! Please make sure he doesn't escape!" Tokitou shouted before he picked me up and ran into a near forest where he was sure I'd be safe. I hope so.

He placed and propped me up on the side of the tree after he had pulled out all the needles that were in my back.

"These are poisonous needles... They contain paralyzing properties.." Tokitou panted- he was probably out of breath and stressed.

"Ah... That makes sense. Can't move anything below the neck." I smiled weakly and Tokitou frowned. "Already? Damnit..." He muttered.

My eyes grew heavy and I closed them, which caused Tokitou to go into a panic. "H-Hey, damnit! Open your eyes, don't die on me!" He shouted and I smiled bit, which made him confused. "..Why are you smiling..?

"I wont die, alright? Please go get Kochou-San. My Youkai will be here to protect me if anything comes." I stated and Tokitou looked as if he didn't want to go, but knew it would be the right idea.

"Please don't die..." I heard him mutter before he got up and ran off. As soon as he was gone, my once week smile faded as I sighed and closed my eyes again. I knew I was going to pass out, but hopefully I wouldn't die.

But then again, hope means nothing on this dreadful planet.

Hehe, I hope someone caught the reference at the end. It's from one of my favorite games!

This chapter was longer than usual- oops! Hope it's not bad. I'm terrible at writing fighting scenes, battles, etc.

Anyways, have a good day! If I write quickly, I will probably be able to post chapter five tonight. So! Yeah!

I'm not sure how many chapters this book will be, but I know for sure it will be over 10.

So, yeah, thats about it for now! Have a good day, lovelies <3
