In the last chapter...

"...I suppose I could stay for dinner then." I shrugged lightly and Kochou clapped her hands together.

"Great! I can't wait."

"Is that so bad? I didn't run away from anything, and I didn't turn my eyes away either. I put my life on my line for my friends, and I have no regrets about it." - Muichirou Tokitou

"Here's the kitchen, L/N-San. Kanzaki-San will be helping make food, too. I can't wait to have some of your f/f!" Kochou smiled and I shyly smiled back. "O-Okay. Can I make tea too..? I asked and she nodded. "Of course! Go ahead and make whatever you'd like." After she said that, she exited the room and went to go set a table.

I started multi-tasking- making both tea and f/f at the same time. I hadn't even noticed Kanzaki had walked in before she said something.

"Huh? L/N-Sama?"

I jumped at the sound of her voice and turned around, sighing in relief when it was just her.       "O-Oh, Good evening, Kanzaki-San. I-I'm just making some f/f and tea.." I stammered and her mouth formed an 'O' before she nodded. "Oh, alright. Tell me if you need any help!" She smiled a bit before she started cooking herself. I smiled a bit to myself as I turned around and went back to cooking.

I sighed lightly and washed my hands as I was done cooking. I looked over and saw that Kanzaki was done, too, so we both helped each-other bring out the stuff. Every single pillar was there, even Obanai and Tomioka. I was a bit surprised, but snapped out of the shock when Rengoku said something.

"L/N-San! You were working in the kitchen too?" Rengoku said in his usual loud and upbeat voice, and before I could say anything, Kochou cut me off. "She made her signature f/f, I recommend you all to try it- the way she makes it is amazing!" Kochou exclaimed and Rengoku looked intrigued.

Kanzaki and me finished making plates, and I went and sat down while Kanzaki passed out plates to all of the pillars, including myself.

"Thank you for the food, Kanzaki-San and L/N-San!" The pillars exclaimed an Kanzaki and I's faces went red as we muttered a small "No problem".

I watched patiently as the pillars tried my f/f and their eyes brightened- even Tokitou's- which was kind of shocking.

"Tasty, tasty!" I heard Rengoku exclaim which made me laugh a bit to myself. 

I heard Mitsuri fangirl, saying something along the lines of, "Woah...! L/N-San can cook really good! She's so cool~"

"This meal is quite flamboyant, L/N-San!" Uzui shouted and I smiled a bit. "T-Thanks.."

It was silent for a few minutes before Mitsuri spoke up. "Hey, L/N-San, what happened to your cheek?" She questioned and the pillars looked at me, making me a bit nervous so my response came with a stutter.

"O-Oh.. I was training with Kamado-San. He took a slice close to my face and I accidentally cut myself with my blade when I blocked it. It's fine now though." I stated and Mitsuri cocked her head. "Oh? When were you training with Kamado-San?" She asked and I pointed at Kochou and Tokitou.

"Tokitou-San, Kochou-San, and I were training those three boys earlier today." I stated and Mitsuri oh'd, and out of the corner I saw a sly grin grow on Kochou's face. 

"Oh, yeah! And Tokitou-San helped out L/N-San with her injury. Isn't that so cute~?" Shinobu cooed and the once quiet room was not so quiet anymore- I almost choked on my tea.

"Tokitou-San! Damn, taking care of your favorite girl, ay?" Uzui exclaimed with a laugh and some other laughs rang around. Tokitou had his usual expressionless look.

"...Hey. It's not a big deal. I take care of people a lo-"

"Sorry to break it to you, but you don't really." Obanai stated and Tokitou sighed.

"Whatever... But this wasn't that much, unlike how you bought Mitsuri socks, exchange letters to keep in contact, and that you're very protective of her?" Tokitou pointed at him and Obanai looked a bit shocked before sending him a glare.

"Oi. We're not talking about Mitsuri-Chan and I."

"But I want to."

"Shut it, Tokitou." Obanai glared at Tokitou, yet Tokitou stared right back before looking away and taking a drink of the tea. 

There was an uncomfortable and intense silence as everyone just ate their food. And after that, some of us pillars hung out in the garden while the others went home. Even though it was night-time, no one was on guard. 

"I can't believe how good your f/f was, L/N-San!" Mitsuri exclaimed and I smiled as I scratched the back of my neck. "T-Thanks, Mitsuri-San." She smiled and nodded happily in response.

"Should we be out here in the dark? It's kind of dangerou-" Uzui's voice was cut off by loud squawcking of crows above our heads, which they soon descended. It turned out to be our crows, and the crows sat on their master's shoulder. My crow sat on mine and I looked at it.

"H-Hey, what's the matter?" I asked and the crow flapped his wings in a panic. "T-There is an upper moon somewhere! Some pillars are already there, but they requested back up, L/N-Sama! We need you four!" My crow pointed her wing at Kochou, Mitsuri, Uzui, and I. I sighed lightly as I stood up, and so did the other three.

"Damn it.." Uzui grumbled and Mitsuri looked worried.

"W-Well, let's get going quickly! I hope they aren't hurt.." Mitsuri frowned and Kochou laughed lightly.

"I'm sure they're holding up great, don't worry Mitsuri-San. Let us go now." Kochou stated and jumped onto the trees and started hopping from branch-to-branch to the area where our crows informed us the upper moon was at.

I took out my sword.

"Alright. Youkai-Sa-"

"..Huh? Oh right. Forgot your sword is 'alive' or whatever." Uzui chuckled and I sighed lightly as I shook my head.

"...Anyways... Youkai-San. Take me where the upper moon is." 

"Yes, master." The creepy, echo-y voice of the Youkai that inhabited my nichirin sword spoke, and the sword stretched and grew longer, around the size of a pole used in pole vaulting. And that's exactly what I did.

I took a couple of steps back-words before running forward and shoving my sword into the ground, using it to propel myself into the air.

I was pretty high in the air, and I took off my haori and used it as a parachute- well more of a glider-type thing. I specially made my haori so it could glide like this, obviously your average haori wouldn't.

I made my way to the upper moon.

SO! Let me give you guys a description on The Breath of The Youkai. Again, please, please, please do not take my Breath of The Youkai idea. I worked very hard on it to come up with the idea (One that wasn't taken) and the breaths + other stuff. Again, please do not take it... 

The Breath of The Youkai is branched off from Moon Breathing. It has 6 breathing forms which I'll bring up in later chapters (Some will probably be in the next one.

In this universe, you are the only one with The Breath of The Youkai because your parents died before they were ever able to teach it to anyone else, and you're waiting until the right person comes so you can teach them it.

If you have The Breath of The Youkai, The Youkai will inhabit your nichirin sword, and be able to bend the sword at your will. As long as The Youkai is able to do it, it will complete every task you command it to do. It refers to it's beholder as "Master".

Also, a purple nichirin blade symbolizes The Breath of The Youkai. And... thats it for now. I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter-! Have a lovely day!
