Chapter 9

This man... Is he Primo?!

But how was this possible? His soul and consciousness should be in the ring, right? So how was he here?

"Sawada Tsunayoshi," he spoke again, "I have something to discuss with you."

Tsuna stayed on the floor in confusion; he wasn't exactly sure if this was a joke or an illusion.

"This isn't a joke, Degli."

Tsuna's eyes widen at the mention of his other identity. "So," Tsuna said, "You're actually Primo? How can you be here?"

The man in front of him smiled. "Basically, I came out of the ring to help you."

"But why? If you aren't in the ring, it isn't as strong, right? How long do you plan to stay?"

"Technically, I still am in the ring. I left some of my consciousness there." He answered.

"That sounds sort of... Painful..." Tsuna said. "Anyway, why do you think I need help?"

"The upcoming battle will be," he thought for a moment, "stressful. I believe your group will be fighting against Daemon Spade's descendant, an illusionist. I though I could give you something that would not only help you fight, but would also help your identity remain a secret. You've inherited my hyper intuition, correct?"

"Yeah, I have." Tsuna said as he stood up.

"Is it strong?"

"Well, yeah."

"Would you say that you could go into hyper dying will mode on your own?"

"Possibly."

"Good," Giotto took off his gloves and cloak. "You'll be needing these."

"Wait, what? Why?" Tsuna asked, confused as he took the items handed to him.

"For the battle. This way, you will be able to use gloves, which are a huge asset. The cloak can act as a shield, so you won't have to worry. It might also help as a costume to keep your identity a secret. Many hard times will come in the future, both figuratively and literally. You'll need those for future insurance."

"T-thanks." Tsuna coughed.

"I have to go now. We'll meet again soon."

Tsuna was left standing in the middle of his room with his ancestor's cloak and gloves in his hands.

.....

"Juudaime!" Gokudera entered Tsuna's room with no warning, catching him at the computer again (he was fighting off the various requests from many random famiglias). Apparently he had a really quick recovery.

"Juudaime! I brought the Baseball Idiot!" He exclaimed excitedly, pulling Yamamoto out from behind him. He turned around and closed the door, making sure no one was around.

"Ah, good. Well, Yamamoto-kun, you had questions?" Tsuna asked, turning around in his chair. He had already accepted the fact that he would have to let his two best friends know his identity. It didn't really seem like that big of a deal, though.

"Yeah, I do have questions. Why would you act like you can't talk?"

"Well, that's best explained if you can take a look at my computer. Come here." Tsuna waved his friend over. "If you can see this, then you would know I'm not exactly who you think I am."

"H-hakka 27?!" Yamamoto yelled in surprise.

Tsuna sighed. "Geez, not so loud! There are people who shouldn't find out about this, you know! If THEY find out, I'll end up in Mafia prison."

"Wait, Mafia prison?" He asked.

"Yes. Mafia prison. Vendicare. Vindice. Those people who wrap their faces in bandages. Obviously, since you're a civilian, you wouldn't know, so I'll give you an overview. Vindice, as previously mentioned, are the, I guess you could say police officers of the Mafia world. They run the Vendicare prison, where the world's worst criminals are imprisoned. They are the old arcobalenos, like Reborn. Basically, when Reborn's curse is lifted, he'll be one of them, unless someone does something, but I don't see that happening. The point is, if I'm found out, I might end up there." Tsuna coughed.

"J-juudaime, you never told me that," Gokudera complained.

"I've broken a few of their laws. It can't be helped."

Yamamoto stared at Tsuna in shock. "So it isn't just a Mafia game?"

"THAT'S what you get out of this?" Tsuna asked incredulously.

"What laws did you break?" Gokudera inquired.

"Well, that depends. I guess it isn't the question of what laws I HAVE broken, but what laws I WILL break. Their number one concern is of people who threaten the balance of the Mafia and/or threaten the existence of the Mafia. I pretty much do both of those. For example, if I were to talk to a few famiglias, I could pretty much turn every single family against each other, all because I'm known for knowing everything. Since everyone thinks that I DO know everything about everyone, all of the major bosses would believe almost every word I say. Say I tell the Vongola that some other family was going to attack soon. What do you think would happen?"

Gokudera thought for a moment. "Well, if I was the boss of the Vongola, then I would take out my enemies before they could get to me."

Tsuna smiled. "Exactly. So, if I were to do that to multiple families, I could take out over half the Mafia in one fell swoop. That is why I'm apprehensive of who finds out about my little 'hobby'. Frankly, I don't want to go to Vendicare." He coughed some more.

"Juudaime, are you alright?!" Gokudera worriedly asks.

"Yeah. Today I've talked longer than I have in four years, I should probably shut up now." Tsuna choked out.

Gokudera sighed, while Yamamoto just stood there looking at the two.

"You can't tell anyone about this, okay? From what he says, he WILL go to Vendicare if you do," Gokudera says.

"O-okay," Yamamoto stuttered.

.....

The group gathered in front of Tsuna and Takeo's house, preparing to go to Kokuyo Land, where their enemy lies in wait. Tsuna stood waiting with Yamamoto, Bianchi, and Gokudera for his brother and Reborn. A bag was slung over Tsuna's shoulder, carrying the cloak and gloves Giotto gave him, along with a hat and a face mask that covered everything from the bridge of his nose and down.

After the trio's conversation last night, the usually happy baseball player had been unnaturally quiet and stoic. Gokudera had been normal, but due to the fact that know one was talking he stood there awkwardly waiting with the others. Tsuna knew this would happen. After all, virtually the same thing happened with Gokudera.

The group looks towards the door when they hear Takeo shouting at Reborn. They then hear a loud THUMP against the wall. The door opened to reveal a smug baby riding on a bruised Takeo, who staggered over to them.

"What are you waiting for? Let's get this over with," Takeo said bitterly. "And get OFF of me!" he yelled at Reborn, who jumped to Tsuna's head. Takeo walked ahead.

Suddenly, Reborn finds a notebook shoved in his face. How did you get my brother to come?

"Simple, really. I kicked him in the head and promised him very hard training," Reborn answers.

That... Makes sense. I can't imagine that he actually wants to, though.

"Most likely not, considering the fit he threw. Now are we going to start moving or what? He's way ahead of us. And what exactly do you have in your bag?" Reborn asks while the group starts walking.

Well, I have some food. I don't think we can trust Bianchi to cook for us.

"Good thinking. If she makes us eat her cooking, we'll all die BEFORE we get to Mukuro," Gokudera states.

'They believed it.' Tsuna thought.

.....

"We're here."

"Geez, what took you so long?! I've been waiting here for five minutes!" Takeo yelled in anger.

"Bakeo, shut up." With that, Reborn takes a flying leap off Tsuna's head and abuses his student. The group turns to face the humongous, ominous gates looming over them. There's a padlock keeping them closed. On the other side, they observe a wasteland littered with broken tables, chairs, and pieces off the buildings.

"There's no way to get in. We should just leave; that lock won't come off," Takeo complained.

"Poison cooking." And the lock melted. Bianchi pushed the gates open.

Reborn said, "Let's do a thorough search of the buildings all the way to the summit." With that, the group walked in.

Yamamoto crouched down and pointed to an animal print. "This is fresh. Maybe it's a dog. No. It's too big."

A dog (or wolf) jumped out of nowhere, straight at Yamamoto, who blocked the attack. A minute later, the animal's blood splatters, as the animal had been dead before attacking. Needless to say, everyone was shocked. The bushes rustled, and a person launched them self at the baseball player. Yamamoto fell back, but he didn't stop at the ground. He fell down a hole that broke into what they assumed was an old greenhouse. Whoever it was that attacked him must've fell too.

A human figure scurried into the shadows. The group gathered around the newly-made hole in the ground. "Oi!" Gokudera called, "Yakyu baka! Watch out; somethings down there with you!"

Yamamoto looked around in confusion to see what exactly Gokudera was talking about. A figure stepped out of the shadows.

Now visible, a teen with blonde hair and a scar across his face starts talking. "Welcome, Yamamoto Takeshi. Kakipii's asleep, you know~~ I've got no orders and nothing to do, so I'm really bored. Then, here comes my prey all by himself. That makes me... super happy."

'He's wearing the Kokuyo uniform.' Tsuna observed in his mind. 'He also has a dangerous aura.'

Yamamoto, who somehow completely knew what was going on, readied for battle. The unidentified blonde rushed at him, but he was fast enough to move out of the way. The blonde, however, kept running. He did a back flip off the wall, using his momentum, and ran at the swordsman while putting what looked to be teeth in his mouth.

Yamamoto held up his sword to block, but when the katana and blonde came in contact, the sword broke to pieces. "The next thing I gouge out will be your neck!" the blonde threatened. He put a different set of teeth in his mouth. "KONG CHANNEL!"

Saying that, the blonde began to change. Hair grew on his thickening arms and chest. His face became more ape-like. He dropped to all fours, just like a gorilla would.

Yamamoto's reaction: A laugh.  "Whoa, that's cool. Is that the newest type of doping?" he jokingly asked.

"THAT'S NOT IT!" The blonde yelled, while punching Yamamoto. The punch had such impact that the victim flew to the far wall, to where the group watching couldn't see the fight anymore.

Gokudera yelled something about not being able to see, while he took out his dynamite and a lit cigarette. "Don't." Reborn said, "These buildings can't withstand an explosion. You'd end up burying Yamamoto alive.

"He'll be fine." Takeo stated in a bored manner. He got up and walked towards the summit, where the main battle against Rokudo Mukuro would take place. Tsuna glared at his brother, before jumping down into the fight himself.

He landed on his feet. Both combatants looked over from the fight. "Ts-tsuna?" Yamamoto stuttered.

"Eh?" The blonde quizzically looked to the boy. "Whozzat? Some small fry friend of yours? Okay then. While you run, Yamamoto, I'll hunt down this rabbit first. Wait a minute, are you Tsunayoshi Sawada? Then I can take out two targets at once!" He launched his attack in cheetah channel.

"No. Your fight is with me." Yamamoto declared.

Tsuna calmly walked towards the swordsman, effectively surprising everyone watching. No sane person, with no way to defend themselves, would nonchalantly walk towards a fight of this level! Tsuna made sure that he had his back facing towards the hole in the roof, before whispering to Yamamoto, "Do you trust me?"

Yamamoto hesitated for a minute, before smiling. "Yeah, I do."

Tsuna softly smiled back. "Then I have a plan."

"Stop being idiots! We're in the middle of a fight!" The blonde rushed towards the two. Yamamoto grinned and stepped back into the shadows. Tsuna turned around, giving a sickly sweet smile. The blonde kept running at him in an attempt to headbutt, but at the last moment, Tsuna turned around and held out his hand, which stopped him. Now, with cold, dark look in his eyes, he brought his other hand around in a punch, but stopped short.

The blonde backed away, but before he could, Yamamoto came at him with the butt of his sword, which he used to clobber the former. Now, with an unconscious Kokuyo student, a rope was lowered. The two climbed the rope, and out into the sunlight. While their eyes adjusted, Reborn pulled out a photograph.

"Look. The one we just defeated was Joushima Ken, one of the principle members of the group we're facing." Reborn said, while pointing to the picture of the blonde scar-face. Next to Ken was a man with spiky black hair and a scar on his cheek; in the mugshot, his sign said Rokudo Mukuro, and on the other side of him, was Chikusa.

"So. That's Rokudo Mukuro." Gokudera said in disgust.

"Yeah. On another subject, Tsuna. Shouldn't that attacked you blocked with your hand have broken your arm?" Reborn inquired.

Tsuna shook his head.

"Are you sure?"

Tsuna inaudibly sighed. Taking out his notepad, he hastily wrote something down. I'm sure. It was just a reflex. Anyway, we should get going. This fight has only just begun.
