Chapter 6
Hibari was violent, but he was also smart. If he knew anything, he knew that those were not the eyes of a herbivore. They were that of a carnivore.
Hibari surely knew now that the boy in front of him, Sawada Tsunayoshi, was not a herbivore. Most definitely not. The eyes told him everything. They told of a person who has seen/knows too much.
"You're the brother of that weakling?" Hibari asked. Tsuna gave a curt nod in reply.
"So why?"
Tsuna looked confused. What was Hibari trying to ask?
"Why don't you seem like a herbivore?"
Oh. THAT question. He would have hoped to avoid THAT question, but it seems that THAT question has come to light. With his notepad appearing out of nowhere (much like Hibari's tonfas), he wrote his answer:
I don't know what you're talking about. I just look this way. Why? Do I look like a carnivore? I'm not on your level, you know.
Hibari refused to believe it. Not on his level? Yeah right. It was clear that this boy was, in fact, on 'his level'; he might even be better. "Hn. I have my eye on you, omnivore." With that, Hibari walked away, leaving one standing and three others unconscious.
'This carnivore, he's going to be an interesting target.' Hibari thought.
.....
Tsuna heard explosions coming from downstairs. They were throwing a birthday party for Reborn who was now a one-year-old. Sure, more like thirty.
He turned to the computer as it beeped. It was the Vongola.
Vongola: Degli 27, where are you? I'm not going to believe you're in Ireland. You said I would know you, but I don't know anyone there.
Did he really just think to ask this NOW? Seriously, the last time they talked was a week ago! Sometimes people could really be idiots.
DH27: You just thought of this now? I'm starting to rethink just exactly how smart the Vongola Famiglia really is.
Vongola: I'm not sure how to respond to that.
DH27: Just... Don't even try. And before you ask, no. I will not be joining the Vongola.
Vongola: That's too bad. We will change your mind.
DH27: I doubt it.
'Oh crap!' The door opened behind Tsuna. He quickly turned around. His eyes widened as a voice rang through the room.
"J-juudaime, you..."
This won't end well.
.....
Tsuna could see the betrayal in Gokudera's eyes. The pain that resembled that of a kicked puppy. All because his precious 'Juudaime' kept a secret from him. Gokudera really didn't care who Tsuna's alter-ego was, he was still the person who had accepted him. Just the fact that Tsuna would keep something as big as being Degli 27 to himself was something feel hurt over.
The way he found out, too... It was completely accidental; Tsuna wasn't about to purposefully reveal this secret to anyone.
"J-juudaime, you..."
Tsuna's eyes widened when he saw Gokudera standing at the door, presumably to get him to join in the festivities downstairs.
Getting over himself, Tsuna sighed, his eyes closing. Gokudera had seen his conversation with Nono, the ninth Vongola boss.
"You're Degli 27?!" Gokudera practically screamed. In half a second, Tsuna was across the room with his hand over the bomber's mouth.
"SHH! Not so loud!" he whisper-yelled.
"Y-you can talk?!" was the reply.
"Yes, I can talk. Really, as smart as you are, or as smart as anyone else is, I thought people would catch on sooner," Tsuna said. "Yes. I'm Degli 27. Have been for a few years. I was never mute or no-good either. I'm just protecting myself."
That was how the ever-loyal bomber had found out about his great master's secret identity that was kept from everyone. He should feel honored that he was the first, besides the man called Uomo Grigio or Tsuna, to know about this, but he couldn't see past the fact that he didn't actually figure it out himself, or that he wasn't supposed to know.
.....
In a few days' time, Gokudera was back to himself, albeit with extra knowledge. The past days were full of his fangirls worrying over him, along with Yamamoto asking over and over again if he was okay. Even Takeo sent questioning looks as to why Gokudera wasn't being as protective of his older twin brother.
There was one who was almost indifferent about it, even if he was worried deep inside. That one person was the Hacker in question.
Tsuna really was scared that he might lose a friend over something that he had been doing for years; believe it or not, he really did care if he had friends.
So when his friend's personality returned to (really not) normal, he was happy. But he was even happier when the bomber had confronted him about it.
"I've accepted that nothing will change the way you really are. Don't worry, I see why you've kept it a secret, so I won't tell anyone."
For that, he was truly grateful.
Now, as Tsuna and Takeo walk to school (as per usual) a dog starts barking at them. The bark was loud, and Takeo thought it would be a good idea to start taunting the large, black dog. As fate would have it, the gate to the yard was open. The dog barreled out of the fenced-in property, and started chasing the younger brother down the street.
Luckily for Takeo, a little girl happened to be walking by. It was I-pin, a high-leveled Gyoza-fist expert. She charged the dog, effectively beating it with her Chinese martial arts style.
She was thanked profusely by the almost-victim of the dog. She narrowed her eyes at the boy, who in return backed away. Takeo ran in the opposite direction.
Throughout the day, she kept appearing to the people at the school, holding a picture up to them. The twins saw those who were asked shake their heads. All was fine until lunch, when Tsuna followed Takeo to the rooftop out of curiosity of what the child would do.
It resulted in a battle; one which I-pin would surely win, much to the disappointment and amusement of the arcobaleno watching.
Sooner or later, Hibari showed up because of the people who were disturbing the peace. As it turns out, he looked just like an older version the arcobaleno who trained I-pin (Fon). I-pin's eyes almost looked as if there were hearts in them, as nine red and green intricately designed circles appeared on her forehead. The pinzu time bomb countdown began. She ended up being tossed to Yamamoto (when did he arrive), who in turn threw her off the roof just in time for her to explode.
What an interesting girl...
