To be estranged
Means to no longer feel
As close to someone
As you did

But what of emotions
Those time tries to heal
All the sadness and bitterness
Pushed aside to feel later

Estranged from everything I felt
No longer able to process
What I can no longer feel
The memories so far down

When did these things move
So far below the surface
Only to bubble up
Always at bad times

I never wanted to forget
All the good memories
All the bad memories
I wanted to forget

I want them all back
See every aspect
But now I'm estranged
The memories down below

 When did things start to go down
Start to become a blur
Fading to black
Like a closing scene

Is it me forgetting on accident
Or am I doing it on purpose
Pushing everything so far back
I can no longer feel?
