come over. sean cancelled on our plans

I reread Jace's message and knew why Sean had cancelled. He's meeting up with Ella today at noon.

mackenzie:
fine i'll be there in 10

I told Cooper that I was going to Jace's for a few hours. He didn't care as long as I was back by ten tonight.

I know I'm eighteen, but I still listen to what Cooper says and I obey his rules.

I got in my car and drove to Jace's house. My radio was blasting a pop station, which I somewhat like.

Jace was sitting outside of his house on his doorstep waiting for me. I took the keys out of the ignition and shoved them in my bag.

"Holy- nice house dude." My mouth was agape at the layout of his house.

I've never been to this house of Jace's, I've been to his former house.

"Thanks. Come on."

I followed him up the stairs as my hands slid up the marble railing. My eyes were glued to the marble steps.

Jace's room was bigger than my future. Literally. His room was probably the size of Cooper's kitchen and part of the living room combined.

I jumped on his bed, pulling the duvet up to my chest.

"Here. You seem cold." I looked over to see him holding out a sweatshirt towards me.

I grabbed it without responding and threw it over my body, the sleeves falling over my hands.

"How is my sweatshirt that big on you? You're only five inches shorter than I am."

"That doesn't mean that your clothes will fit me!"

He drew his head back and let out a laugh.

I rolled over on my side and then hovered over him. Jace's hands gripped my waist, holding me steady.

My hands were on either side of the bed, his head between them. His pushed my waist down and my body smacked into his.

His arms snaked around me, pressing me tight against his body. I got a whiff of his cologne and it smelled heavenly.

"Are you uncomfortable at all Mackenzie?" He whispered in my ear.

"N-no. Not at all."

"Good. You shouldn't be."

He flipped me over until he was now hovering over me and I felt my cheeks heating up.

Next thing I knew, both of us were under the duvet, breathing roughly. I reached over the bed and grabbed my clothes.

After putting my clothes on, realization hit me.

I jumped out of Jace's bed throwing my hands in my hair as I paced around his room.

"Why are you freaking out? What are you worried about? Mackenzie! Answer me!"

I picked up Jace's clothes and chucked them at him, forcing him to put them back on.

I faced him, my eyes widening as his face lost color.

"Look Jace, we shouldn't have done that. You're my costar."

"Seriously Kenz? That's what you're worried about?"

"Yes, that's what I'm worried about, okay?! We can't date, we shouldn't even be involved with each other. It's in the contract that we signed five years ago!"

I stormed out of his bedroom and out of his house. I got in my car and drove straight back to Cooper's.

I didn't say a word to anyone as I slammed the door to my room shut.

ella, riele i'm freaking out

ella:
why omg what happened kenz?

mackenzie:
jace and i did something stupid and i didn't realize it until after it was done
i'm FREAKing out dude

riele:
just be calm. tell us what happened

mackenzie:
jace and i DID IT okay??

ella:
oh my

riele:
god kenz

mackenzie:
it's SO bad guys
i mean, jace and i are costars. we shouldn't be like this

riele:
this is a problem kenz. if mike or dan find out you'll get fired and so will jace

ella:
you can't tell anyone kenz

mackenzie:
i know but i'm scared. should i talk to cooper about this??

riele:
NO DONT DO THAT

ella:
THAT WILL BE VERY BAD. HES PROTECTIVE OVER YOU AND JACE

mackenzie:
okay okay

I sat on the bed with my knees pulled up to my chest. My mind was going crazy knowing what went down with Jace and how I just left him like that.

"Mackenzie? Can I come in?"

I heard Cooper's voice from outside the door.

"Yeah."

He gently opened the door, Liz standing behind him. They both sat on my bed, Liz's hand grabbing a hold of mine.

"Mackenzie...is everything okay?"

"It's personal-ish." I said, mostly looking at Liz since she's probably the only one I can talk to about this.

"Liz?"

She nodded, "I'll handle it."

Cooper left my room, shutting the door behind him. My chest beat rapidly as Liz pulled me into a hug.

"Jace and I...it was an accident. I didn't know what was happening until it happened and I...I-"

"It's okay Mackenzie. I understand, and I know why you couldn't tell Cooper. He's protective over the two of you, you're like his children. It was an honest mistake. We've all been there."

I hugged her, and as soon she left my room, I lost it.

I broke down in tears. I don't know what it is. Either I'm falling for my costar or I'm scared.

It's both.
