"Mackenzie! We need you at the table read in five, go get Jace."

I nodded my head at Mike and went down to Jace's dressing room. Knowing he hates when I don't knock on his door, I barged in anyway.

"Really? You know I hate that." I smirked at him.

"I know, that's why I did it. Mike sent me to get you. Table read in," I checked my phone, "three minutes."

I sat next to Jace and looked at what he was doing. He had this on/off relationship with this girl, Sienna, and I've told him a thousand times to just break it off for good. He thinks I'm just jealous that he's in a relationship.

"Dude, break up with her."

"Yeah, because that's easy to do."

I took his phone from his hands. "All you have to do is type five words, then it's over. Simple as that." I started typing when Jace ripped his phone out of my hand.

"No! Stop making me-"

"Jace! Mackenzie! Let's go!" Mike opened the door and shouted for us to go.

I sat in front of Sean and Cooper and next to Ella and Jace. Riele was near the end of the table by Jeffery and Tommy.

"But Henry! If you do this, it could hurt everyone you know in the end!"

"I have to do this Carmen. If I don't, you could die. And I'm not taking that chance."

We read over most of the script before we headed off to set. I play one of the best friends on the show, Carmen, alongside Jasper and Charlotte.

"Okay, Mackenzie. When I say 'action' I need you to pull Jace to the ground and stare at him, not creepily." Mike said as me, Jace, Sean and Riele piled around.

Ella, Michael and Cooper stood to the side.

"Jace, you need to confront Carmen and tell her that you have to do it or she'll die."

I ran to my dressing room to change into my set attire and hurriedly got back to set. Jace and Cooper were already in place waiting for me.

"And cut!"

It was almost ten by the time we finished on set. I packed up my bag from my dressing room and locked the door after I exited it.

Jace's light was still on when I passed his door. I pushed it open to find him passed out on the couch, his foot hanging off of it.

"Wake up dude. Wake up. WAKE UP!" I yelled, his body jolting upwards from my outburst.

"Okay, really Mackenzie? I was sleeping."

I smirked at him before laughing, "Yeah I know. I purposely did that."

"You're so evil."

I just smiled as I walked out of his dressing room.

"Need a ride?" Jace called as I was more than halfway down the hall.

"Sure. I think my mom forgot to pick me up, or she's straight up drunk."

My mom became an excessive alcoholic ever since my dad passed away five years ago. Since then, my moms personality has changed and so has mine.

"I'm really sorry you have to live with that on a daily Kenz."

I shook it off, "Not your fault. Thanks anyway."

I walked side to side with Jace as we got his car. For an eighteen year old, I'd have to say he's pretty lengthy with what he does.

By that, I mean he makes more than the rest of us. I don't know how that's fair because we've worked the same amount of time as Jace.

"Thanks for the ride. I'll see you tomorrow at seven."

"Same time as always." He smiled before rolling his window up.

I unlocked the door to find my mom passed out on her chair, a beer bottle in her hand.

I rolled my eyes and forced myself to the kitchen, pulling out the Chinese food that was left over. I put it on a plate and warmed it up for a minute, then took it up to my room.

My phone lit up, showing messages from the main cast.

I put my phone on the charger before changing into my pajamas. I crawled under the covers, grabbing the remote to my tv.

Skimming the channels, reruns of the first season of the show were on, so I looked to see what my thirteen/fourteen year old self looked like.

I mentally cringed watching myself five years ago. I didn't know what my life would turn out to be like after five years, but I grew really close to everyone.
