Hiccup was a wreck. He wasn't perfect. He just...was a total wreck after Drago had been defeated. And it wasn't only that which Astrid had though about. No. It was the other things that he'd been though earlier in his life.

Like when he was bullied by the gang and her. When he lost his foot after defeating the Red Death. When he got struck by lightning. When he almost got killed multiple times by the Outcasts or Alvin.

He did so much for her, his loved once and the village. And what did he get back? A freaking prosthetic leg, a title as a hero and some trust.

Hiccup didn't deserve this. He didn't deserve anything. Except love, kindness and a perfect, happy life.

She found him in the almost-forgotten place where the two first bonded.

The Cove.

Astrid smiled and walked up to him. Hiccup was standing in front of the pond, his head bowed. Even then, he was taller than her. Which, - when he first noticed, he was esthetic, - of course she was happy for.

But, when Astrid made the move to slowly and carefully grab his hand, Hiccup jerked.

He have never done that before. Not even with her. And it was a bad feeling, knowing that the one you loved, was afraid of you.

Astrid's eyes saddened slowly as she took his hand into hers, squeezing it lightly.

Hiccup didn't look at her. He couldn't. And he didn't want to. Sure, he loved her and everything but he didn't want her to see him like this. Maybe, maybe after a little while. When he had calmed down his nerves and would be able to visit her.

Until then, he didn't want to see her. Because, how could he? How could he ever face the woman that had been beside him ever since he lost his leg? How could he thank her for everything that she did for him? How could he ever thank her for not dying out at the battle with Drago?

He just couldn't. But he had to. Because suddenly, Astrid walked to the small placed between him and the water edge. She carefully and slowly pushed him back a few steps so she wouldn't fall into the water and looked at him, placed her free hand on his cheek.

"Hiccup," She begin. The man didn't look at her. He forced himself to not look at her because if he would, than he would brake down.

That's why he was in the Cove at the first place. To look back at the memories that they'd have there.

Their first kiss. Followed by their first date and so on.

"Hiccup," Astrid warned. Not harshly, but softly and smoothly. Said man's eyes slowly traveled from the interesting rock on the ground to meet his woman's.

And, as he had excepted, tears begin to form in his eyes.

Slowly, he pulled away his hand from hers and wound his arms around her waist. Astrid looked down at his arms that where laying around her waist before she smiled and looked up again, directly into the eyes of her lover.

She felt herself getting tugged closer to him and totally let herself go.

Astrid raised her arms to wrap them around her man's neck. Hiccup broke down the second he felt the woman in his arms press against his front.

Astrid fisted her hands into his hair, hushing him affectionately like a mother would do on her child.

The tears that fell from Hiccup's eyes slowly soaked Astrid's fur hood.

But, honestly, she didn't care. Right now, her whole attention was on him and to get him to feel happier.

"I know how you feel," Astrid started. "I know. I've been though it. It will stay there, in your soul but with time, it will heal. I promise you that, babe. You don't deserve this. You don't deserve anything bad. You've been and are a perfect man that shouldn't deserve sadness. This...this isn't fair. I know how you feel. I've gone though the same. And, in sorry for everything that happened to you in the past. I know that I and the other shouldn't have bullied you. I liked you already when I was small. I was just afraid of what the others would say if I got together with you."

Hiccup sighed, sniffled and buried his nose deeper into his woman's neck.

"But, right now, I don't are. Because I love you. More than anything. I'm sorry for this sadness I've caused you. I shouldn't have bragged about you for Drago. I'm sorry," Astrid told him softly, her voice beginning to fail her.

"I'm sorry about your leg when we where smaller. I shouldn't have pushed you into the battle with the Red Death."

Hiccup listened. He didn't know that she felt this way. I mean, how could he? Five years of pain and distress have she told him in five minutes.

Astrid continued softly, her voice breaking a few times. "But, now that we're older, I-I know that I l-love you. And I wouldn't let you go, even if you wanted me t-to. Because after today's experience, I-I never wanna see you getting close to k-killed. And if you would die, then know that I won't hesitate to follow with you. That's h-how much I love you, Hiccup," Astrid sucked in her breath, tears already streaming down her face.

Hiccup pulled his head back, looking at his girlfriend. He pulled away one of his hands from around her waist and reached up to wipe away the tears.

Astrid didn't care. She didn't care if Hiccup would see her crying. He was her boyfriend after all for Odin's sake.

Astrid took a step forward, pressing her body against his as she placed her head on Hiccup's chest.

The man himself placed his hand back to where it had been earlier, at her lower back.

Hiccup buried his nose into Astrid's hair, softly pressing kisses at the top of her head. The blonde hummed softly before sniffling.

The chief ran one of his hands up her back slowly before going back down again. As he slowly rubbed her back, he knew that she felt the same pain as him.

Because is she wouldn't, then she wouldn't cry into his chest like she was doing right now.

"Astrid," Hiccup whispered into her hair, barely audible. Astrid breathed in softly, calming down by hearing his voice for the first time in a very long time.

Astrid pulled back her head slowly, looking into the emerald green eyes of her man's.

Hiccup smiled softly, leaning his forehead against hers. "Thank you, M'lady," He told her leaning down to softly press a small kiss into her lips.

"You know, babe," Astrid begin as she traced her boyfriends bare chest as they laid in his bed, covered by his blankets.

They had left the Cove a little after the darkness had fallen and had headed over to Hiccup's house. Astrid decided that it would be best if she slept with him for the night so she could know that he would sleep soundly.

They had gotten undressed and headed to bed, Hiccup; in a pair of pants while Astrid was wearing one of her man's shirts.

"I'm glad that we actually got that talk in the Cove. I think that I really needed that talk."

Hiccup laughed softly, pulling her even closer by the arm he'd wound around her shoulders. Astrid smiled and moved against him more, placing one of her legs over his.

Her thigh brushed against the middle of Hiccup's thighs and he looked at her.

"Just wanna be close, babe," She told him. Hiccup reached over his free hand to brush away her bangs from her eyes, freeing their true color.

Astrid smiled, grabbed his wrist with the Han that had been laying on his chest and brought if to her mouth.

Hiccup furrowed his brows at why she suddenly placed his hand on her cheek. "Astrid-"

"Sshh," She softly hushed him. Hiccup obeyed, nodding his head.

Astrid turned her head even so slightly to place her lips onto his palm. Hiccup smiled and rubbed her shoulder with the hand that was laying around her.

Astrid kissed his palm multiple times before she pulled his hand away, intertwining her fingers with his.

"I love you," She suddenly said, with such affection that he'd never heard before.

A small gasp left Hiccup's mouth when she moved out of her placed to lean over him. Her legs on either side of his hips while her hands where on either side of his head.

Astrid smiled, leaned down and pressed her lips against her man's.

Hiccup lifted his arms and moved them around the blondes small, petite waist.

Hiccup pulled away for a second before saying, "I love you to," And going back to business.

(A/N: Heeey! I think that this chapter went just after my ideas, dreams, thoughts. So...yeah? What'ya think? I'm watching HTTYD (1) right now and I had to pause the movie when Hiccup finds the Cove because it gave an inspiration!
