He watched and listened as Astrid talked about her day atop of Toothless.

It was little before sunset. The sun was boiling orange, making its way down the sky.

Hiccup had stood by the far side of Berk, watching the horizon and the sun with his best friend, Toothless.

He hadn't even realized that he had company before a hand was placed into his right knee.

Of course, the drifted-away-in-mind Hiccup had jumped because of the sudden touch but then, everything just went on.

So now, he was there, sitting on the Night Fury that was lovingly getting patted on the neck by his owner.

Hiccup's mind was working full on right now. 'She's so beautiful. The way the orange sun just shines at her. And the way the purple sky forms in the background...Odin, I love this woman. I love here. And I want to be with her...forever.'

"Astrid," Hiccup suddenly said calmly and soothingly. Astrid stopped talking and looked at her boyfriend.

His eyes where shining with happiness and love. Astrid had almost forgot to breath when he begin to talk again.

"Your beautiful."

Her breath caught in her throat and this time, it felt like she couldn't breath out. One of her hands flew onto her chest, staying there.

Astrid breathed out in relief. She didn't know why thought. Toothless nuzzled the blondes hand, wanting attention. Astrid, eyes locked with Hiccup's, begin to slowly rub Toothless' nose.

Then, the blonde walked towards her boyfriend slowly, eyes never looking away from each other.

Hiccup smiled, reach out his hand for her to take which she gladly accepted. The chief pulled up his girlfriend onto the saddle in front of him, letting Astrid almost sit onto his lap.

Hiccup smiled, turned Astrid to the right sitting position in front of him before lifting with Toothless. The dragon, as if he knew where he needed to go, turned towards the direction of the upcoming location and begin to fly.

Hiccup locked his tail into auto, letting him fly by himself. The flying would be straight, no turning or stuff like that.

Astrid turned around to face her boyfriend and wrapped her arms around his neck. Hiccup smiled smugly, wrapping his arms around her waist.

He pulled the blonde onto the place in front of him. Her legs laying over his wasn't bothering him at all.

Then, the blonde pressed her lips against Hiccup's, pulling him against her almost immediately.

Toothless just kept flying slowly, not to bother the couple having their little moment on his back.

Hiccup broke their kiss, placing his hands on her ribs. He moved his thumbs over the top of her stomach, smiling.

Astrid wanted to laugh. It did tickle her a bit but she ignored it. Or, at least she tried.

"Hiccup," Astrid complained. Said man chuckled. "Did I tickle you?" He asked in a childish voice. She wanted to punch him. But, after thinking about all those things he'd been though the last month, well, she didn't.

First, he found his mother, then lost his father, and at last, he'd been made chief.

But, it turned out that Hiccup really could live up to his fathers graces. He really was a good chief.

Instead of punching him in the shoulder, she grabbed his wrists. However, since he had his arm-guards on, she could barely even take a hold of him. But, after a few tries and a few teasing laughs, she finally where able to pry his hands off of her waist.

Not that she really wanted it. But, his thumbs where tickling her.

Hiccup smiled, protested and re-placed his hands on her. However, now, they where laying in her cheeks. Astrid smiled and leaned into his touch.

"Hiccup?" She suddenly asked. "Yes, M'lady?" Hiccup asked and smiled at his love. "Where are we going?"

Hiccup's smile turned wider. "To a secret place. You've already been there."

Astrid furrowed her brows? 'I've already been there? Where? Which island is he talking about? Gods, he's gorgeous...'

Hiccup laughed. "Well, thank you M'lady. Your gorgeous too!" Hiccup said with a huge smile as he kept moving his thumbs over her cheeks.

The blondes eyes widened. "Did I say that out loud?" She asked. Hiccup nodded and leaned towards her. He pressed his lips against her for a short but passionate kiss.

Astrid pouted when he pulled away but didn't complain. "Hey Hiccup...I know that this question comes out of the blue and that I know I can do it now too but, when we land, can I hug you?" Astrid asked.

Hiccup almost bursted out laughing but held himself. "Well, of course you can," He said.

As if it was on cue, the Night Fury landed softly and Hiccup got off. The man then turned towards his girlfriend and grabbed her by the waist, lifting her off of Toothless.

Astrid looked around and immediately knew where they where. "This is your latest island that you've found...what was the name again? Itchy Armpit?" She laughed.

Toothless snorted and blew out a small cloud of smoke though his nose trails. "I'm sorry," Astrid said, patting the dragon in its head. Toothless rubbed himself against her, wanting to be scratched.

Astrid laughed, sat down on her knees, beginning to scratch Toothless' neck, head and behind his ear.

Hiccup however, walked over to the cliffside and looked over the world beneath them. The sky was turning dark by the minute but the young man had no plans on leaving anytime soon.

Astrid looked around to see where Hiccup was and found him by the cliffside.

She patted Toothless one last time before telling him to stay there. The blonde stood up, walking over the soft grass under her feet.

Then, she reached him. Astrid wrapped her arms around Hiccup's waist, pressing herself against her. Hiccup smiled and slowly turned around in her grip.

"Can I hug you now?" Astrid asked with a laugh. Hiccup wound his arms around her waist while the blondes arms trailed up his body and around his neck.

When the position was just right, Astrid pulled her boyfriend closer and buried her face into his neck.

Hiccup placed a few kisses on the side of Astrid's head, moving his hand over her back in soothing circles.

Standing there, just hugging each other and being close was the best thing Astrid knew. She loved her boyfriend more than anything in the world. She would even give up a few major secrets just to see him smile and be happy everyday.

Hiccup suddenly pulled away. "What is it, babe?" Astrid asked softly.

"I wanted to ask you a question that I should have asked much sooner ago. Before Drago and everything, I almost took you for granted. But, after realizing that I could loose you so easily, I decided that it was time."

Hiccup reached into his pocket, pulled out a small black wooden box and got down on one knee.

He opened the box before looking Astrid in the eyes. The blonde's hands flew up to her mouth and tears where glistering in her eyes.

"Astrid Hofferson, will you do me the major honor of marrying me?" Hiccup asked. Astrid looked at her love for a few more seconds before getting down to his level.

"I will, I will marry you!" Astrid exclaimed happily. Hiccup pulled out the ring from the box and grabbed her hand. He slipped the ring onto her finger before bringing her hand towards his mouth. Hiccup placed a kiss onto the back of her hand lovingly.

Astrid smiled, a tear escaping from her eyes. She, however, didn't care about it and just flung herself into his arms. Hiccup fell backward but he didn't care.

Astrid was going to marry him. She was going to be his wife!

Astrid sat up after a while, onto Hiccup's lap. Said man supported himself on his hands while he raised one of his legs, having something that Astrid can lean on later if she wanted to.

Astrid scooted forward a little, almost settling herself onto Hiccup's stomach. She then grabbed his face and caressed it.

"Thank you, for asking me about the marriage, babe..." Astrid said softly and leaned in. Her lips pressed against Hiccup's for a short kiss before pulling away.

"Your wish is my command, M'lady."

"Oh, really?"

Hiccup nodded and shifted his weight from one arm to another.

"Yup."

"Well, if your wish is my command...then kiss me!"

"Aye, soon-to-be-Haddock."
