"Dad...no..." Hiccup whispered when he felt his mothers hand on his back. He couldn't believe it. One second, his father and mother hand danced happily together in the cave and the other second, Toothless was about to kill him but his father saved him.

He didn't care about having his mother there right then. He wanted his life. He wanted Astrid beside him. He wanted her to be there for him, - even though e wouldn't admit it.

And that is exactly what he got.

He felt a hand on his back before seeing his blonde beauty beside him. And even though she had tears building in her eyes, almost letting them fall, she was still beautiful.

He felt one of her hands on his back and shoulder, stroking it in an attempt to sooth him. Maybe only for a while.

Because the next thing he knew, she had sat down beside him, slowly and carefully placing her ea on his shoulder.

Hiccup smiled, even if it was for a me'er moment. Tears rolled down his cheek slowly and landed in Astrid's hand, - which was laying on his knee.

"Astrid..." Hiccup whispered, barely audible. I'm respond, she squeezed the hand she was bonding in hers, letting him know that she stood open and would listen to anything.

"I'm so glad that you're here. I don't know what I could have done if it was you who is laying here, in front of me..." He responded in the same tone.

Surprisingly, Hiccup didn't feel his mothers hand on his back anymore. He searched or where she was with his eyes and found her, helping the others to haul in a small ship.

Astrid suddenly stood up, helping up her love. And when he stood up, he was slumped together. His back was bent, making him about the height as the blonde was, which made her almost unhappy.

Astrid grabbed his arms and straightened him. "Hiccup, look at me..." She whispered. The man looked at her with sad eyes but when she put on a small smile, Hiccup smiled to a bit.

And the next thing they both knew, Astrid had her arms wrapped around his neck while his where wrapped around her waist, pulling her incredibly close.

Astrid smiled and pulled away a bit, looking him in the eyes. But what came next made her even sadder. Tears rolled down his cheeks every second.

She pulled back her hands and placed them on his cheeks, wiping away the tears.

She knew that it was hard for him. Loosing a father he'd had for twenty years then getting a mother he didn't even know he had.

She understood him. She knew how it was to loose a parent. She had lost both of her parents at really small age and uncle Finn wasn't much for help since he fled away in shame for being afraid of the Flightmare.

But, she was going to tell him everything she knew about that.

"Hiccup. Everything will be alright. You aren't the only one who's lost a parent. I don't have any. But, the most important part is that this pain that is filling your soul, it won't be there forever. It will take a while for you to get used to it but I promise you that everything will be okay...trust me."

Hiccup gazed into his woman's eyes and nodded slowly. "I trust you. With all my heart for that matter of fact. Your really the one and only person that I could give my heart and soul for. I trust you" He said one more before tracing his hand over her back.

Astrid smiled warmly at her man, letting him know that she understood and agreed with him.

Because, she really did. She loves the man with all her life and heart. And there wasn't any other that she wanted to be with, just with him. And Hiccup knew it.

He did have a proposal in his mind but that needed to be placed away because all of the other thing came up. But he was sure that Astrid would say yes from the experience he had over the last five years.

And Astrid knew it to. She knew that she wanted to get married to the man in her arms and she knew that she wanted to have kids with him.

Hiccup suddenly interrupted her in her mind with placing his forehead against hers. "Astrid..." He whispered. "I know, babe, I know..." She whispered back.

"No, it not that. I wanted to ask you that of this chaos ends and everything will go back to how it was before Drago, will you get married to me, then?" He asked.

Astrid smiled and nodded. "I will, Hiccup. I would never turn you down, especially not to a offer like that. I..." She trailed off.

They had never ever said the 'L' word to each other but they both knew it all to well that they loved each other. But she went for it...

"I...I love you, Hiccup. And I always will. You know that. I know that..." Astrid said affectionately and pulled away from him a bit.

Hiccup opened his eyes and smiled at his future wife, placing one of his hands on her cheek. "I love you to, Astrid...I always have and I always will."

They smiled at each other before Astrid leaned up and pecked his lips. However, when Hiccup decided to kiss back, it lingered a bit longer before they pulled away.

Almost just in time for the ceremony to begin. They smiled at each other before separating and beginning the ceremony.

• Time Skip •

Astrid knew what she had to do. And if she said those things in the right way, maybe she could carry away Hiccup for a good while from his problems.

And she went hard on it.

She slowly walked though the icy village and up the path to the chief's house. She knew that Hiccup's mother, Valka was in the Great Hall, helping the other hurt or homeless villages.

So, Hiccup would be home alone, with Toothless. And that is why she chose this time of the evening. Because, as she walked up to his door and opened it, she was sure that the memories would at least lighten him up a bit.

But, when Astrid walked up the stairs and entered his room, the hope in her almost got lost. Seeing her fiancé, slumped over on the bed, crying like a little baby, made her sad to.

"Hiccup..." She said as walked over to him, sitting down and wrapping her arms around his body.

"Hiccup...can I talk to you?" She asked. Hiccup looked at her with frighten eyes that threatened to let go of more years than they already have.

"If you want to delete the marriage and break up with me, then it's okay. I really don't care. I'll jut go and kill myself in the forest..." Hiccup said, making Astrid gasp. "Hiccup...no, I won't delete the marriage, or break up with you. No! Your not allowed to kill yourself! What will I have left then?" She asked.

Hiccup looked down.

"Anyway, what I came here for is much...much better than anything you'll have in mind."

Hiccup raised his brows in wondering. Astrid smiled which made him calm.

"Do you remember about the time when I first kissed you on the lips?" Astrid asked with a smile. "Of course I remember, I was the happiest person alive right then..." Hiccup said with a laugh, which made Astrid chuckle.

"And the time when we went dragon sledding? We got trapped under the ice and we didn't even realize that we had our arms around each other..."

"Yeah, I remember that one to. Do you remember this?" Hiccup asked with a smile before he crushed his lips against hers.

Astrid shrieked but smiled into the kiss, wrapping her arms around his neck, pulling him closer. Hiccup placed his hands on her waist and pulled the blonde into his lap.

Hiccup made a bold move to open his mouth and let his tongue meet hers. Because, Astrid smiled and moved closer to him.

But, their moment didn't last for to long because Astrid pulled away a few minutes later. Hiccup pouted but when Astrid pressed her lips against his forehead, he smiled.

Astrid pulled back and placed a hand on his cheek. Her thumb grazed his lips lightly with a smile. Hiccup leaned into her touch before he slowly said, "Astrid, one kiss is more than a thousand words for me. And you, your more than my life..."

Slightly tear-eyed, the blonde hugged her fiancé and stayed there. Hiccup smiled, a tear escaping from his eyes by the though of her marrying him and hugged back.

"I love you..."

"I love you to, babe..."

(A/N: This is the end. No, not really the end but close. This chapter should have had a smut in the end but I deleted it because of reasons. Mostly because some people doesn't read smut. @FutureWriterLA. Anyway, I'll end it here. Watching HTTYD 2 and I'm just where Hiccup finds out about Valka's dragon sanctuary.)
